for my similar pig brush, in addition to this method, I also used hair conditioner by putting it in the bowl and for 12 hours I rub the brush periodically for a while in about an hour or two
To break in my Semogue Owners Club & 620, I pre-soaked them in warm water followed by lathering up with shaving soap as usual but then leave the lather on overnight. I thought it worked wonders; brush smell was also reduced substantially. Then onwards used it as normal, enjoyed breaking period.
I love boar brushes and I really enjoy breaking them in. There are so many different techniques out there for getting them shave ready. Doesn’t matter which one you use, they all seem to work. Great to experience how they change during the first few uses. Big Giveaway happening on my channel now! Best regards, Glenn
Hot water would be a risk with wooden handles as wood soaks water and swell (destroyed couple brushes myself) 😢 but in general I think Omegas are so easy to break in. My Semogue brush just went too wide in loft while Omega kept its shape better. Weird... but, nice video ❤
That's unfortunate. Whenever I soak brushes I make sure that the water doesn't cover even the base of the knot. I keep 4-5mm from the handle's edge to the water.

Yeah, I learned this from my first try with it. That's why I use it now only for whipping lathers to clean new brushes and it goes in the drain after. A friend told me that the Wilkinson cream actually doesn't build lather. It's made to be layered with fingers and not mix with water. It's written on the back, but I didn't bother to check when I got it 😂
the better soap does a way better job imo even if it costs more. I soak the brush and everything but i let the cream sit in the brush for a but to moisturize the bristles. So a better soap will work better for this. Maybe clean the first time and then use the better soap to let sit in the bristles. I then brush against a cotton towel for a while too and when I am done the boar is almost as soft as synthetic only alot of backbone. On top of that alot cheaper than quality badger. Just my two cents not knocking you in any way. I just cant stand poor performing shave soaps and i have bought expensive types that suck also!

Thanks for sharing! Heard fantastic things about the SOC. Cheers!
Great video tutorial! I expect a shaving video to see this brush in action! Make one!
Will do for sure! Didn't like how the brush feels out of the box but after the "beak in process" I think I'll like it :)
Assaie assaie assaie bello kapperage ❤❤😂😂❤❤❤
What bowl is that? Great video
Thank you! That's the Pereira Unbreakable bowl
Браво. Доста подробно видео. Това с хладилника е, за да не изсъхва пяната, предполагам. :) Днес направо ме побъркахте с толкова много материал. :)

That cream sucks dude! Get some Palmolive with palm oil in it and you will do much better!
