      In the city here, it is very common to see intact male dogs, pit bulls especially. The larger the “package,” the better. It’s some kind of (abhorrent) status symbol for their owners. Castration should be performed on more than the dog in those situations.

    • @HobbyOrganist
      @HobbyOrganist 2 года назад +2

      You are thinking more of Europe, sweden for example doesnt do this, they are the smart ones, and in the UK as well. It is unnecessary surgery that has a number of negative side effects, but peta LOVES pushing it because of their anti pet- enjoyment from a distance/extinction is ok agenda on cats and dogs.
      If there is no breeding, dogs would become extinct in about 12-14 years, as it is there are breeds of dogs who have such low numbers they would be on the endangered species list if they were not domestic dogs.
      The surgery normally only takes 15 minutes and is a HUGE bread and butter money maker for the vets, so of COURSE they are going to "recommend" pet owners do it! like the fox guarding the hen house, just follow the MONEY and you'll see the massive conflict of interest here!
      If people were concerned about unwanted puppies and "overpopulation" - stop importing the many thousands of "rescue" dogs from overseas where they are being bred to FILL the American "rescue" network who SELLS the dogs for tax exempt profits! The Washington Post did a big expose on this and how the Golden Retriever "rescue" dogs from the streets of Turkey is a scam, as are the so called "meat dog" rescues.
      Next, you can get a vasectomy and tubal ligation to prevent unwanted litters and the dog retains the hormones the body needs and which nature meant for them to have.

    • @theWightRabbit
      @theWightRabbit 2 года назад +12

      @@HobbyOrganist No, we desex cats and dogs for a lot of reasons, but certainly not because PETA tells us to (they're a terrible organization). It's mostly because we have irresponsible people that abandon their pets, and cause feral populations that suffer with disease and starvation. It's also to prevent unwanted litters in homes, to prevent hormonal mood swings that result in bad or dangerous behavior (like aggression, running away/roaming, marking territory), and to prevent reproductive cancers and pyometra. There are plenty of breeders, responsible or not, and plenty of strays. Domestic cats and dogs aren't going extinct from these practices.

      Yeah, the shot against parvo is only 7 dollars. That's a small price to pay to keep parvo gone. Most dogs die of it, and the cost to get them through it is expensive. Easier to pay the 7 dollars and prevent it. My dogs, cats, and mini horses get their shots every year, without fail. Horses don't get parvo like cats and dogs, but they do get a serious disease called strangles (equine distemper). Prevention is the best cure in all cases. (Jan Griffiths).

They feature in legend, as well as recorded history, and were among the first canines to accompany humans on their migrations across the globe. The mastiff family is full of powerful breeds, each with its own unique personality.
      Mastiffs have been used as guard dogs, war dogs, and fighting dogs throughout the ages. Today, many of them reside in our homes as beloved members of our families, but they still take their jobs as family protectors seriously.

    I do not know why they blur on you tube, someone started complaining of blood, if they dont want to see blood, do not watch surgery, Ido not find this disgusting, its interesting to learn. I watch a lady from Canada who breeds lambs and they complained of the blood you see when they give birth and her account was threatened. A kid growing up on a farm sees it all the time, it does not hurt them, honestly it gives them healthy views on anatomy

      It's not something they can decide. It's the RUclips that puts these rules. You can look at their ToS. If they keep showing things like blood and injuries, their channel can get deleted.

      @@agustinbarquero8898 Well, I have watched numerous surgery videos, from joint replacements to brain surgeries and none of them have any blurring. So, I'm not sure RUclips is the culprit here. But, bottom line, whatever the reason, I'm done with this channel because of the blurring.

    Why do these shows constantly lie with false editing, misleading people? It's so annoying & Channel 9 is the worst for over dramatising everything. The clinic they show is NOT on the Gold Coast at all. It is at Underwood, Logan area where my boy was put to sleep. Alex was also his vet.
