The years of 2000-2010 were basically by far the best eras for many cartoon shows of Cartoon Network rising regarding their peakness and popularity as we grew up with them during our nostalgic childhood memories that marked our nostalgia back in the good old days.

Aside from the starburst era there is another period or mini era of CN that nobody talks about and it’s what I called the pre-city mini era (2003 to June 2004). This era/period had many changes done to channel and its programming. This period is mostly known for the time when CN updated the older powerhouse bumpers and moved away with a new style of bumpers for the shows that premiered that year and in early 04. Also during that period CN debuted the New Fridays block, Miguzi, and moved Toonami to Saturday nights. In addition to the new programming there was also a lot of classics that still aired specially late at night that were removed from the channel limiting it to a few selection ie. Tom n Jerry, Looney Tunes, Scooby Doo while the rest exclusively aired either on the Boomerang block or the channel. Originals such as Cow and Chicken and Sheep in the big city were also the removed from the lineup somewhere during that period. Overall that was a interesting transition period between the powerhouse and city era that more people should talk about.

I remember the middle of the checkerboard era all the way to the City era. Powerhouse was my favorite out of all of them honestly. I do remember the Starburst era a bit. It just went by so fast.
After the City era, I totally lost interest in Cartoon Network as a whole. I would check back occasionally throughout the late 2000s, but it just wasn't the same as the mid to late 90s CN. They would occasionally play the old Looney Toons and Tom and Jerry cartoons during the weekday mornings, but that was about it considering old cartoons being on Cartoon Network after the City era. Yes, we had Boomerang, but my parents didn't want premium cable or satellite back then. Was too expensive, and we didn't really need that many channels from the beginning.
