Flap jack , uncle grandpa and courage gave me trauma as a child LMFAO i still loved them even today i do
i always thought candy wife was up to no good, had this sensation that she was brewing something in the background and i think that if the serious hadn't been cancelled, we would see that
Candy Wife always unsettled me, she gave me that same unease that Plank from Ed, Edd and Eddy did but even more so. It always felt like the show was trying to tell us that she was playing a larger role behind the scenes. Like maybe she was using some supernatural/demonic powers to keep Flapjack and Knuckles away from Candy Island for some reason with all the times they failed to get there.
Maybe she’s Candy Island personified
This show even horrified college students. It’s definitely one of the creepier shows Cartoon Network has ever put out.
This show was always a bit odd at these points
The sirens tripped me out
16:11 THATS WHERE THAT ONE FREAKING CAT IMAGE WAS FROM!?!
When I first watch this show as a kid I was laughing at the creepy scenes didn't even bothered me. When I grew older re-watching this show again I realized how creepy this show is but still laughed to it
Candy wife looked like she was rendered via stop motion animation to me. Also, fantastic music choices for the video as always.
For the way to talk about animated shows like this is absolutly awesome! Im surprised that you have less then 100K!
As a child, I came across about two episodes of this show on TV, after watching them I didn't even feel fear, just a strange feeling of anxiety - that something was wrong😅
Great video man! Flapjack is such a masterpiece, I wish more modern kid shows were like this. They're too bubbly nowadays, they need to be more disturbing like Flapjack or Courage.
this was amazing video i loved watching flapjack premier the episode that fucked me up was mechanical genie island the ending realy freaked me out also u need more recognition bro
My girlfriend showed me this cartoon over the past weekend for the first time ever. I’m 34 years old. When this was airing, I never watched it because I’m a boomer, and wasn’t interested in the new era of cartoons, having been raised on the classics. Dexter’s, Courage, etc. She showed me this shit when I was somewhat sleep deprived and delirious and I was in utter shock at just how…. Wild and unhinged this show was. Like I actually couldn’t believe it, what in the HELL does this bitch got me watching??? I was deadass having full blown anxiety sweats cause I couldn’t process the show, it was just so… bizarre and unnatural, and I had no idea it was always like this. But Skooled? The fucking episode *SKOOLED* ??? That was the episode I deemed this show a crime against humanity. I’m so glad they pulled this show off the air, cause this shit needed to GO
My mom told me the flapjack wasn’t a kids show and now I understand why😂
Never watched this show but damn looks like an acid trip gone horribly wrong 😂
It may just be because I only started watching Flapjack when I was 15 (around the time Cartoon Network made its way to Shaw satellites), back when the channel aired all the major classics late at night, as an unlisted mud miniblock between 3am - 7am, but admittedly not much of the show left me in any state of fear or whatever that say, WGBH did at the end of episodes of Nova. Closest thing I can think of would be that cat with the deep meow. If I was any younger it _might_ have scared me, but what helps ease the fear factor down a little is how it has the same meow as that cat from The Impssible Quiz. Runner-up may be that one-shot guy that says he's 38 years old, if not just for the fact his close-up shot returns as the episode's "The end" card.
15:08 An interesting accidental ship; I wonder if anyone else had thought of it on purpose…
And personally, I wouldn't really cite a wikia, unless its information is well-moderated, and not filled with hypotheticals and "might be" types of deductions. They have an article for the computer K'nuckles used in that one Cartoon Network "Toonface" bumper, and it's just a grammatically incorrect sentence. He doesn't even get angry in the actual bumper.
The original version has copyright on it
i tried watching this while eating and i lost my appetite. this show was INSANE and now i remember why i'd skip it when i was young 😭😭😭
Just finished the video and honestly I'm shocked it only has 3k views. I've seen much bigger channels produce content that's infinitely times worse.
Keep up the good work bro, you're gonna make it big soon 🙌
Love your channel. You’re gonna get huge soon!
this video is so good and so well edited I really hope that you get the recognition you deserve soon! great video!
very good video, keep up the good work :)
No wonder my humor is the way it is. I watched Flapjack and its reruns many times after CN stopped showing Billy and Mandy. Sure, Chowder and Ed Edd n Eddy were also part of my favorites, but younger me always ended up gravitating towards the macabre shows with dark humor/imagery. Courage was the show, however, that gave me nightmares thanks to that “slab” 😨😨😨
Candy wife’s husband is named peppermint Larry, not peppermint butler. PB is a character in another show (adventure time) and the fan theory is that Peppermint butler is the son of candy wife and peppermint Larry.
honestly i hate the way flapjack looked so i didnt watch it as much, but courage was my absolute favorite as a kid
Bro when I was a little boy, I was Afraid to the darkness, balloons and the beach... now I'm 17 n I'm still afraid to this stuff 💀
Can you please talk about star and the evil forces of magic? Because it was my favorite show as a kid and watching it again what the actual hell its a horrific masterpiece
Flapjack wasn’t that bad to me but it did have some somewhat dark undertones
I got to the last episode and they were turned into fish, after turning back they asked the doctor when they will turn back and the doctor said “when you start drowning” they start laughing and begin drowning then that’s the final episode
i never really caught it during the initial run, maybe bits and pieces as the characters looked familiar, but not enough to get drawn in. i recently watched the whole series on streaming and it is so good
Would you believe me if I said I found a lot of the "scary" stuff very funny as a kid, and even now that I'm older😂😂
Which is weird cos I was afraid of an ironman TV show poster as a kid I was a weird individual, still am😂
Because of the "West" episode I had fear of water and fear of saying "west" for a few days as a kid
Because of this show, now I don't fear pretty much anything (at least not anything shown on screen)
Give people nightmares I don’t know nightmare fuel😅
I don't know the exact name of the episode, but the most horrifying one for me when flap jack and knuckles gone on an journey and yeah i don't remember alot from the episode except the fact that they were lost and then they arrived to an island in which they felt relaxed but they quickly realised how lost they were and scene went to show us after the camera went up how remote the island really was only to end the episode with the moon laughing with a scary face, i watch it ones as a kid around 8 yo as well and at the time being lost was one my biggest fears growing up , let alone i was watching it at night and i was the only one who still awake so the moon scene really chilled my bones , if you know the title of the episode please let me know
I think you're thinking of the episode Over The Moon?
@@TealLlama no it's not over the moon , but thanks regardless
Oh wait, I think you're thinking of Lost on Land.
@@TealLlama yeah I think it is lost in land , massive thanks mate
@@TealLlama yeah I think it is lost in land , massive thanks mate
Flapjack is the worst version of chowder
I’d argue FishHeads was the most disturbing
11:15 The part you’ve been waiting for
