- The Cincinnati Police Department released bodycam showing officers arresting two teens after they allegedly ignored commands to stay out of the street. The teens were selling water on the street and impeding traffic, police say. Officers arrested the teens for obstructing official business and resisting arrest. This footage was released in response to a story circulating around social media stating that officers arrested the teens for selling water.

That's "Being a punk 101."
For some Flippin reason they think they are above the law. Disrespectful. Just listen when a police officer says do something, do it or face the consequences. This all starts at home. If they are not raised to show respect, then it just keeps carrying on for generation to generation. I can tell you, if my son did that I would let him stay a few days in jail. They acted like punks. And how do I know I would have done that to my son, I did it.
What I do? What I do? Great English.
Fr, honestly if I acted like that every time I had an encounter with a police officer I would’ve probably had a messed up record, there was one time when I was literally doing 100 in a 70 and a cop just gave me a warning bc I was polite and compliant (he asked for permission to search my car and I had nothing to hide so I told him go ahead, I didn’t want to pull the “I know my rights” card) and then one time after I bought a new jeep I didn’t realize I had to turn the lights on manually so I got pulled over the cop literally just showed me how to turn them on and let me go (didn’t even ask for my license). The point is politeness goes a long way when dealing with law enforcement.

You'll get so much further in life by simply being respectful. None of this had to happen. It was entirely the fault of the teens & indirectly, the fault of their parents, in my opinion.

The officer was wrong charging him with obstruction in order to have obstruction charges you must first have a law that is broken and then impede in the investigation of that crime?
The officer should have first cited him for impeding traffic, then charged him with obstruction as in court the obstruction charges on there own will most likely be dismissed that is if he takes his right to a good attorney.
Disrespecting the officer is not a crime I will say he did incriminated himself when he said "How am I supposed to sell water unless I go into the street?" This is why you have the right to remain silent never talk to the police without a lawyer.
Remember without evidence or reasonable suspicion of a crime a officer have no right to detain anyone or ask for anyone's ID.
I love the “WHATS YOUR BADGE NUMBER?!?!” These people have NO idea what to even do with such information and never keep it

No sign of intelligent life here.
If a cop asks you to stay out of the street, stay out of the street. Pretty simple... People where I live walk down the middle of the street all the time. It's super annoying because there are sidewalks on both sides. They just stare you down like you're in the wrong. It baffles me.

And then one night they get hit and killed. Of course the family blames the driver hitting a kid wearing dark colors who was walking in the middle of the street! And of course, the family also wants to know why didn't the police do something!!! (After complaining that the police gave their son (or daughter) a ticket for Jay-Walking!!)
The teens escalated it unnecessarily. The cop was nice about it, telling them they could sell water, just not on the road because it was dangerous for all involved. They should understand that if you’re resisting being cuffed, things will escalate because cops may think you’re trying to grab their gun.
