    She's my MP. I have been complaining to her for two and a half years about a clear case of planning fraud. She pays lip service and assures me she 'understands', says that the case is a good example of 'what can go wrong under the current framework' and accepts that I make a 'good case that something isn't right about the case and the way the Council have handled it (understatement of the year) but at the end of the day just tells me she can't help me because she isn't a planning lawyer #chocolateteapotlostmyvote

    It's a demotion not a sacking, if anybody in the public was sacked that would mean the end, as in no longer employed. You don't get sacked from the Tories, they just sit you at the back of the house until the public forget what you did. Zahawi is on the naughty step that's all.

      I thought the NHS was responsible for the vaccine roll out?
      The NHS also volunteered to carry out track and trace citing their vast experience in the field of health screening and their vast data base of public health information. However, the government refused this offer,instead employing One of their cronies at the expense of £37b with no experience in public health what so ever and according to WHO was effectively useless.

      About 6 months ago I developed a serious dislike for Zahawi, when a little digging on the internet unearthed that he had been extolling the virtues of Net Zero whilst having recently been paid £1.3million by a Kurdistan Oil Co.
      Mr Zahawi was co-chairman of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Kurdistan in 2015 when he landed the job with Gulf Keystone, which has an oil field in Kurdistan and which paid him more than £1,000 an hour.

      Ethics advisors would be a useful thing in most governments because it’s easy to start seeing people as numbers when you’re dealing with the economy, always good to make sure ethics are followed but to just have one to go “can we get away with this” for the answer to always be “no” is kind of stupid I agree.

      …until the next cabinet reshuffle. The backbenches are pretty much the same as the bench at a football match. Pull one off the pitch and put another one back on.

    The UK has a *terrible* record of COVID deaths compared with the EU. That is _not_ a feat to be proud of.

    Hadn't he already breached the ministerial code when he was vaccines minister? During that time his wife set up a company called 'Zahawi Warren Ltd'. The name was quickly changed to 'Warren Medical Ltd' ( he obviously wanted a bit of distance). It's a clear conflict of interest, as was his shares in a buy to let when he was Business Secretary (which he also transferred to his wife). All we want is 'The Simple Truth'.

      Because the media feed off rumour, and innuendo and are not particularly concerned with facts. They also tend to hunt as a pack of wolves waiting for the critical mass to be right. Why did (say) the DM or Torygraph not publish when they first knew? Having said that there ought to have been a sufficient smell surrounding this matter to have warned successive prime ministers. But then few ministers are likely to be without a smell.
