I work in a school. If I worked with a kid who lied as much as this bag of wind, I’d be putting in referrals to CAMHS - not that they’d be able to do anything - she’s either incapable of being truthful or she’s doing it deliberately. Either way, she has some big problems.

There is actually a serious point here. According to teaching unions, poor pupil behaviour is becoming more and more of a problem. When the example set by high profile, government figures is as shameful as it is, it becomes reasonable to conclude that poor behaviour in the classroom may be affected by such factors.

If I may add a footnote. My wife was a lecturer in a further education college, in fact, she ended up a curriculum manager. She took voluntary severance in 2018, and six months later started a dog walking business. She always says that at least the dogs are happy to see her!

I’m actually very lucky. I love working with children. They and their parents are generally pleased to see me, but we’re fighting against the tide.
The problem the government has is that it has pretty much zero expertise in regard to education. Being a great accountant/lawyer/journalist does not, in any way, qualify a person to formulate good education policy. When the government asks for advice, it ignores all that recommends proper investment. And that’s just in terms of mainstream education. Once you factor in SEND, the government just simply doesn’t know what to do.
The best this education secretary can do is moan when she doesn’t get credit for doing a good job precisely because she didn’t do a good job. Excuse my French, but she’s a fucking idiot.
If it were up to me, I would remove politicians from the decision making process completely. They’ve had their chance, now let’s hand it to those who know what they’re doing and who won’t, deliberately or otherwise, undermine our children’s futures.
Just want them out of power, don’t care if it’s Labour or the Monster Raving Loony party .

You don't understand: the reason the country's in a mess isn't due to the dregs of the Tory party being in power for the past 14 years and not having a clue, it's entirely due to Covid, Ukraine, global warming, England losing the World Cup, the 1956 floods, Pearl Harbor, the General Strike, the 1912 East African drought, the 1893 Great Smog of London and the Romans invading Britain. She says that she visited "Brighton hospital" as one of the 40 new hospitals.
The new site at Royal Sussex County began planning in 2009, was approved funding by the treasury in 2014 and stage 1 of the build began in 2016.
It is not one of the 40 new hospitals promised in 2019.

She's just the latest in a long line of awful Tory ministers for education.
One of the main problems is, I suspect, that since they don't use state education, in the majority, they really don't care about the education of us plebs, our children and grandchildren!
She repeatedly took refuge by quoting from the politicians' book of excuses "its all too complicated".
Keegan's yet another Education Secretary who a) has never taught; and b) had no experience of either working in or even dealing with the education sector when made Education Secretary. In other words, a complete amateur who was only given the job because Daddy was a Tory MP. She's just going to tinker with the system and erode it further by meddling in something she doesn't understand - like most of her predecessors. Completely out of her depth.
To a Tory apologist minister, issues are always too complex and difficult. While most of us echo Basil Fawlty's words: specialist subject, bleeding obvious.
