Oh, this ancient type of music that was played at the second christmas market was part of the soundtrack from the film „drei Haselnüsse für Aschenbrödel“ (three hazelnuts for cinderella). That film is one of the most popular fairytale films that is repeated for years on German TV during Christmas times. Definitely a must see for little princesses like Willa and their lovely mums❤️❤️
So enjoyable! Stollen sold in groceries often have marzipan in them. I don't like that too much. But there is another variety with apple filling. Which I learned from a colleague from Dresden is a local variety. And that was the best in my view. A relative of the Apfelstrudel.
Oooohhh, you were in Dresden, In the vicinity (only a few minutes' walk away) of the market are other markets, "Christmas Market at the Frauenkirche" or the "Midlle Age Christmas Market in the Stallhof", the whole City is a Christmas Market. If you want, let me know next time, I'm very happy to show you something new :)
I've been to the Christmas market of sorts in Fredericksburg, Texas and it was so much fun! Some day I hope to go to a real German Christmas market.. (there in Germany). I'm in a heavy German/Czech area and enjoy lots of variations of some of the foods. Love how Willa just is so willing to try new foods ❤️. Thank you for sharing!

In the U.S., a good selection of christmas products made in Germany, like Stollen, Spekulatius and Lebkuchen, are available at Aldi or Trader Joe's during this time of the year. (Trader Joe's belongs to Aldi Company). Also the brand "Moser Roth" (high quality chocolate) is sometimes available at U.S. Aldi stores.
"Ingredients for the marzipan stollen are wheat flour, raisins, sugar, palm fat, water, glucose fructose syrup, dextrose, almonds, rapeseed oil, orange peels, sorbitol, lemon peels, wheat starch, yeast, mono- and diglycerides of fatty acids, sodium stearoyl lactylate, natural flavoring, salt, and fully hydrogenated palm fat." Well, it is not the oldest but one the oldest Christmas markets in Germany. In Germany there is a long tradition of Christmas markets in almost every city, where mainly Christmas handicrafts, sweets and food are offered. Also of interest are the traditional or smaller, magical Christmas markets such as the Reiterlesmarkt in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, the Christmas market in the Ravennaschlucht or the Nüremberg Christkindlesmarkt. The Dresden Striezelmarkt is one of Germany's oldest Christmas market and will open its doors for the 588th time in 2022. You read that right, this Christmas market has mostly been held on the Altmarkt in Dresden during Advent since 1434. But he is not alone in this, the Munich Christmas market was first mentioned in 1310, when it was still called Nikolausmarkt and the Stuttgart Christmas market was first mentioned in 1692.
Striezel in the area of Dresden means Stollen and they send them from Dresden to every part around the world. Nice that you made it, the Erzgebirge is also very famous for Christmas, Annaberg Buchholz is lovely at this time and also Seiffen. I love to see you all trying the food, even Willa is not afraid to try something new and that's incredible. The Semper Oper, the Zwinger and the Frauenkirche are really cool, there is a reason why the nickname of Dresden is Elbflorenz named after the Italian city Florence. Wish you a nice third advent 🕯️🕯️🕯️ If you like it and you really get the chance to buy a Stollen from Dresden, then please don't miss the chance.

Good choice to try the Original, fresh Dresdner Christstollen! Guys, you need to learn the correct pronunciation of German words. Rule #1: There is no random pronunciation of diphtongs as in the English language. Rule #2: "i" is always [e]. Either short as in king, villa, Justin when there is only "i": mit (with), in (in); or long when written with like "ie" as in freeze, meat, sheet: "viel" [feel] (many/much), Riese (giant) [reezah], or even Striezel... [stree-tsell...]

Thanks for the tips!

We answered this to your other comment on our most recent video! Thanks for commenting and asking! 😊
You have no idea of the downsides of an eSIM, do you? It's a privacy nightmare. But you do you. Just don't recommend such things to people.
Same is true for 99% of VPN providers.
Please start learning German. By now you should be able to pronounce at least a few words correctly.
You guys do realise that a lot of foodstuff allowed in The US is banned in Europe? Food is always better in Europe..safer..
Dude. You must not get invited to many events. "Do you realize you killed the wholesome vibe?" And that you've probably never procreated or raised a child over 18?
I LOVE 'STOLLEN'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (and 'Speckkuchen') 😚😂🤣

Der wird auch immer süßer. Ist „fast“ so niedlich wie meiner. 😘
