  • This week we are making a slow stitch Title Page. We are also going to spend some time Looking Back From The Half Way Point of Winging It 2024. This is Part 5 of our June Stitch Along.
As there are 5 Sundays this June, I thought I should take the opportunity to fix an accidental mistake that I have made along the way.
Today I'll show you how create a half-panel to use as a title panel. We'll review our project so far and learn some slow-stitch basics as we create our piece.
If you like what you see and want to catch all the videos in this series, you can subscribe to this channel, and if you click the notifications bell, you will never miss an upload.
Join me at 2.30pm GMT every Sunday for a restful time of slow stitch, embroidery and textile art. Each month we are going to create a complete piece of art that we will create bit by bit each week.
Feel free to follow my design, use my piece as inspiration, or you could use the same techniques as me to create something totally original.
I hope to try lots of new things this year as I create my 2024 stitched journal. I hope you will come along for the ride!
Please tag me when you post your creations on social media. @featherstitchhouse and use #fshwingingit24 so that I can see your beautiful work.

I think you came up with a really good solution Rebecca. It all looks gorgeous. I think my favourites are January and also your brilliant portrait. I'd never seen anything like it before..

What a good solution. The writing looks fantastic. My fav is still your portrait because of your being out of your comfort zone and doing it anyway. I loved watching how you worked through the process on camera. I am sure there were lots of swirling thoughts on how to go about it off camera. The whole project deserves your signature. I like seeing my "Lu 20..." on anything I do especially if I managed to draw something that is representative of the intended subject. Drawing is quite a challenge for me but I keep trying to get better at it. As you go along I like all the panels more each time I see them and hear the meanings. Really enjoyed today's video. I really enjoyed today's video, thank you Rebecca. You are very inspiring. I am currently working on too many other projects, but thought I would let you know that you have recently taught me how to do Bullion stitches, which I was finding tricky (not enough hands) until I got myself a table clamp for my hoop. (I am currently using a kit to get going, but am so looking forward to making my own designs.) I have to use crochet within and to enhance my creation - I really need to give this a lot of thought!
