I’m honestly so tired of sunscreens coming in the TINIEST bottles. When I was an Esthetician I would ask my clients about their product usage, and that topic came up a lot. They said they didn’t use very much because they would go through it too fast. I realized that a small bottle makes people think it means they are supposed to use a little bit… like a serum. That really needs to change.

The Mexoryl 400 sunscreens are basically the only ones I use on my face now. And the fact I can apply them right up to my eyelashes with no problems is so reassuring to me.
When I was younger sitting in direct sunlight for more than s few minutes during peek hours would nearly send me into a panic attack!
Obviously I would never recommend such recklessness even today, but a few minutes here and there with protection like this is ok.
I didn't get the merest hint of a tan this summer, and I've been outside quite a bit.
I have no discolouration at 51 and have no complaints about how much younger than my years my skin look.

I second on Anessa. This is my sunscreen when I go to the beach or when I do long distance running/walking (10km+ distance). Dries fast too! This is just pricey though.
Biore Aqua Rich LOTION (there are gel and essence version) is what I am using currently. Natural finish(I have very oily skin), no white cast (I am medium brown asian), not travelling to my eye (I hate this really!), and so far, no clogging of pores. And price friendly :)

I love evy. My entire family has used it for the last 3 years. The mousse application isn't great but after actually reading the bottle this year for the first time, I read to rub it in your hands first to provide the cream. Game changer. Still not the easiest but infinitely easier then trying to shove the mousse on a wriggly kid! We've never had any issues with it and one bottle really lasts a while.

I use that Anessa milk 2022 formula even as my everyday sunscreen. Bcs it's my holy grail for my oily skin. In fact that's the only sunscreen that can hold my sebum.
It is super water resistant (super hydrophobic formula) but surprisingly not greasy like water resistant european sunscreens. And the superior protection is my second most important thing. I don't even get any tan from long direct sun exposure with that Anessa milk.

I’ve been loving the avene intense protect. It’s so affordable and works well. Our whole family used it almost exclusively this summer at the pool and no one got sunburned. Also it kept our skin more moisturized than usual. We do live in a very dry area so definitely benefit from the more emollient properties. I just omit am moisturizer when I use it. Also it works so well under makeup. Thanks for introducing new sunscreens!

Thanks Renee. Fair ginger here in Arizona. 😎. I used many sunscreens and researched much, threw my hands up with the choices, spent lots of money and have settled upon (believe it or not) Walmart (US) brand 100spf for face and 70spf for body. Both contain 3-4 chemical screens and both are considered safe on the EWG sunscreen list. If I want elegant I will use a Japanese screen with a tint under makeup. Best part: $6.00-$7.00 for 5&8 oz tubes respectively!!!

It's super water resistant, when I ran out of it there was only enough for on leg, on the other one I used a La Roche Posay. In the U.S. I purchased a similar UV compact mirror on Amazon called Fenchilin. I also have a larger one called UV Reveal, though they seem to have ceased production on that after being featured on Shark Tank and blowing it when SPF was applied to a black man and the mirror didn't work. For my purposes however, it works. After I apply I carefully scan my face for missed spots or thin spots of coverage, and listen, I am not even to your reviews of the actual SPFs yet, but I already know my beloved UV MUNE stands up to tons of sweating, (I check the UV Mirror and there are the beads of sweat on my chin, sitting on top of the SPF!) and seriously, it is there still after a shower. Only oil and a lot of it, will get it off!

      Hi,
Thank you very much for this question!
💖💖Our UVmagic mirror can work on hybrid sunscreens and chemical sunscreens. It doesn't work on mineral sunscreens only. Since we found most consumers prefer chemical sunscreen as its formulas can be more inclusive for all skin tones.
And also because the mirror uses the technologies of ultraviolet lights and the camera that can only get a reflection of absorbing UV rays skin. But sure, we will develop and invent more intelligent items that would include the one for mineral sunscreens in the future.
Thanks again for your comment and we will appreciate any kind feedback from you!

Didn’t start using sunscreen (SPF 50+++ only), until 2 years ago and I’m soon 35. Then again due to sensitive Rosacea fungal acne skin, most sunscreens break me out and I react badly to any type of form of vitamin C topically. Even vitamin C pills taken orally breaks me out, and I don’t really have acne prone skin. I only wear sunscreen if going outside. Also I grew up and live in Norway. Tried several European sunscreens, but don’t like them. Hard to find one w/o vitamin C. Also Norwegian weather is very unpredictable and very dry, even indoors. Tho K-beauty and air humidifiers are huge here. Had several favorite sunscreens from Japan, tho sadly most aren’t fungal acne safe. Only one I can use, still breaks me out from Nivea Japan.

The only sunscreen my skin loves as of now is Senka Perfect UV Gel. The other few I have tried made my skin too greasy and stung my eyes. ☹️

I really wanted to love the anthelios shaka fluid, I bought the tinted version and damn is it orange and dark! And I'm not even that fair. The tint looks like a very orange bronzer and it doesn't absorb. Also, being chemical, it irritates my skin as hell, I'm sensitive, oily acne prone and very reactive.

This LRP tinted fluid makes my skin look like an Umpa Lumpa. I have an asian skin which is not very fair.

NIOD 0 is not staining but it will leave your face orange. It's a great product but not daytime friendly.

The Anessa sounds perfect for me, except that it includes Octocrylene which is on the HEL list, so this mermaid can’t wear it in the ocean.

Thank you for your informative review of sunscreens. Annoyinly I suffer with my eyes stinging with sun lotions and I am very pale. Could you please advise which creams are kind to sensitive eyes with a tint? ...Thank you in advance :) xx

My most favorite sunscreen is Evy , Evy and Evy.... I have been using it for 4 years both for myself and my family. It's the most comfortable and beautiful sunscreen for face . I do not buy any other sunscreens for my face apart from Evy. I have tried many many sunscreens , they turn out to be really bad for face in terms of consistency or finish wise and also extremely expensive for a person who uses gallons of sunscreen 🤭
Evy suncreens are expensive but the most cost effective at the same time. I like the new Avene sunscreen for my body . It's definitely not for my face. Too rich formula and also doesn't get absorbed, it just stays on the face and also moves if you scratch on your face even a little. I would like a lighter and thicker consistency version for face from the Avene one that getsabsorbedand not just sit on my face . 🙌🏻

Hey is it important to keep the evy sunscreens to keep into the refrigerator to maintain the mousse texture of the product ?
