To make a greatest of all time and literally skip over the 1980s entirely?? No that’s a fail child. You gonna give the thumbs up to a greatest rock of all time list that skips over the 60s 70s? It’s a lack of understanding of the genre as a whole and what albums have had the impact that have given the albums of today the ability to exist. @@patrick13183Again. You’re missing the point. He’s calling it the best or greatest of all time not here’s MY favorites. @@Skrogansauce I'm not saying it's a bad album, it's just not a top 10 album like you said.
Marshall mthers lp, life after death, 2001, me against the world, *Coughing*, ready to die, doggystyle, eminem show, miseducation of louren hill *coughing* the chronic, illmatic, all eyez on me...
Coughing* by?? I don't listen to underground rap
@@grandmaster5183 its not an alboum...
These lists always missing Deltron 3030 which is easily in my top 5. But W list regardless!
Yea Deltron 3030 doesn't get enough love.
@@vincentfalcone9218 for real

Tpab is trash
@jackiejackson3499 i cant even begin to say on how many levels thats not true 😂😂

Where is Chronic 2001, Illmatic, Get rich or die trying?
Didn’t make it
This list in this video is made by a gen z hip hop fan who knows like 2 eras of rap total and that’s it. These dudes don’t know shit
@@KoobiMmad aren’t ya lil bud? List is still valid and your hating old head ass needa kick rocks and listen to new stuff instead being in a bubble of 80s-90s rap
@@KoobiMThis is hilarious, because I’m pretty sure both the men in this video are millennials
I mean the list is probably his own personal favorites rather than actually debating what the greatest rap albums ever are, but Illmatic, The Blueprint and The Marshall Mathers LP I think should be on there.
typical “rapfan” pick
@@luukienquocflowerboy It doesn't matter if it's a foreseeable pick or not, those albums are among the greatest the genre has to offer. Why do you think those picks are the typical picks in the first place?
Where the fuck are MMLP and Mm…food
EXACTLY I was waiting on Marshall Mathers LP and it never came :(
@@changedmynamee why would it
@@linkintheskywithrupees because it’s like the third biggest rap album of all time lmfao. What are you even trying to say? You know nothing about hip hop if you say it’s not one of the biggest.
@@changedmynamee but this isn’t a top ten ‘biggest’ rap albums is it? if it were maybe it would be third.
You wont see Eminem anything on Fantano vids. He wouldnt release a vid of someone putting Eminem on their list.

Not sure how I feel about 1 and 3 but otherwise an insanely good ranking. It was missing Fantasy and Illimatif
missing a few big ones (Chronic, Illmatic, BOBS etc) but good list full of big W's
Gibbs of Nas was a flavorful choice for sure
liquid swords at 1 got me so fucking happy
I was specting Illmatic to be number 1

Ironic
I can't take any top ten list seriously if Low End Theory isn't on it.
So what’s funny to me is that all these greatest of all time lists basically ignore the first 20-25 yrs of the rap/hip hop genre. Apparently all the best hip hop ever made has happened in the past 8-10 yrs. Millennials you truly are precious.
Exactly what I thought. All post Golden Era albums. Just shows lack of knowledge really
You picked the worst video to write this comment lmao. Only 3 albums from the last ten years are Piñata, TPAB, and Rodeo. Besides, guy literally has 36 Chambers, Liquid Swords, and Aquemini; quite the solid list in my opinion.
@@santicarbajal3927 The point being is that apparently the greatest of all time seems to be the majority of what has been released in YOUR lifetime. How convenient don’t you think? To make a greatest of all time and literally skip over the 1980s entirely?? No that’s a fail child. You gonna give the thumbs up to a greatest rock of all time list that skips over the 60s 70s? It’s a lack of understanding of the genre as a whole and what albums have had the impact that have given the albums of today the ability to exist. This list does not encompass enough time to warrant being called a greatest of all time list. It’s the work of an amateur plain and simple.
@@patrick13183Again. You’re missing the point. He’s calling it the best or greatest of all time not here’s MY favorites. It’s pretty obnoxious to make a GOAT list that’s so limited in scope of a genre that’s existed for near 50 years. Funny to me that he looks like he’s 25yrs old and making these serious statements like he’s lived a lifetime of listening to music.he’s got more years of hip hop ahead of him jeez in another 10 years maybe his new greatest of all time will all be made and replace these lol
@@patrick13183and I’m not specifically saying anything about any decade it’s just the point of lack of understanding and knowledge and appreciation that has to go into a GOAT list. I don’t necessarily find say The Beatles to be in my constant plays over other artists but I damn sure would never not put them in a GOAT list. Just the fact that their influence is so large and broad it’s required. It’s beyond just personal tastes.
Of course putting Sexyy Red at #1 is something Fantano would agree with 😊
Fantano please shave the sides of your mustache and leave the center block

💀 don't let this dude rank
no 1999 pro era am i the only one who thinks that tape deserves a spot
GKMC better than TPAB
piniata being that high was really left field but this guy was cookin
If all time but time continues and new artist will emerge but it’s def tough to say that they will far supersede what been out
Most nostalgia heavy list I’ve ever seen, almost every album is like a nostalgic listen now 💀
Not saying the list is bad, just saying this guy likes feeling old it probably makes him think hes intelligent
what are you even trying to say lol. how is it nostalgia at all?
“nostalgia = good” = internet 5 iq thinking lol
but piñata I love it
That number 1 pick is GOATed
I was praying for a troll pick at number 1, but solid list ig
Graduation deserves a spot it’s loaded with bangers
Not including the Marshall Mathers LP or The Eminem Show is an unforgivable crime.
2 dot albums is such glazing
😐
Why do hip-hop fans mad about doing tops? Top 10 the greatest rappers of all time, greatest album of all time and so on. I see them everywhere
I want to listen to good old hip-hop stuff, lyrical stuff.... Can anyone suggest good artists and albums...
For east coast i would recommend: Mobb Deep, Wu-tang clan and the members solo projects ,The roots, A tribe called quest, Biggie, Eric B. & Rakim, Big L, Big Pun, Jay-z and Nas. Album wise i would recommend you to start with either illmatic, enter the wu-tang, The infamous or The low end theory. These are arguably the most important east coast hip-hop record of the 90s, so will make a good starting point on your journey. Hope you enjoy :)
beastie boys theyre white but they were VERY important.. check out my beats
Dre 2001, Get Rich or Die Trying, just the few that come to mind, deserve a spot somewhere. #Illmatic
No illmatic or miseducation is insane
Miseducation is not rap tho. Like its a great album but it's not rap
Hey Fantano what's the 23rd letter of the alphabet?
Apocalypse 91, The Chronic, The Eminem Show, Mack Daddy, All Eyez on Me,
I personally prefer Pinata over Madvillainy so i feel somewhat validated with this list 😁
welcome to the club
This is a really good list
Interesting pick for Rodeo W pick tho
Anyone putting liquid swords at 1 is coming to the cookout
