    I love that Paul is NOT afraid to tackle anything! He has mad skills and doesn't just slap the parts together or the paint on. I like that he takes his time, and does it "right". A good job for a lasting result. Nice outfit for the trip to the stores Mel! :)

    Fifty years, and 50 pounds ago I could have fit in there. Hurts my back just
    watching that but it looks to be a job very well done. Maybe one day I can
    get to England and see some narrowboats.
    Really enjoy your videos and wish you both the best.

    Having watched your visit to Nantwich and as we were on holiday in Wales in our old camper, we thought we would see the place for ourselves. Nantwich is indeed a lovely town. Beautiful architecture and charming.Thanks for heading us there.Love your vlogs.

    Well, the most impressive thing was fitting through the gas locker hatch!
    My own dimensions wouldn't fit that's for sure. The hatch on my boat is even smaller into the bargain.
    Will presume you will fit a rubber mat or similar to protect the paint film? Just beware trapped water. (I know these things ... 😂.)
    Prop, looks as if the metal is torn so must have been an almighty biff.
    Will be interesting to learn if the prop can be repaired or it's cheaper to fit a replacement.
    And, as always excellent filmography.

    • @MelandPaulMunro
      @MelandPaulMunro  3 года назад

      Thanks Ross! Yeah the prop actually tore like that with trying to bend it back it needed quite a force as it was almost 90 degrees bent..
      But in a sneaky update - we’ve ordered the new one so repairs are on the way!
      Thanks so much for continuing to enjoy along with us😉👍🏻

      @@MelandPaulMunro
      Aha!
      Have to say when you showed us the pictures it looked as if a new prop was required.
      And, have you noticed if the stern gland/stuffing bracket is leaking more/faster than pre incident?
      Or if more side play and/or end float in the prop shaft. Easily seen by giving the prop and shaft a good hard tug when out on dry land.
      Sincerely hope it's just a new prop.

    • @MelandPaulMunro
      @MelandPaulMunro  3 года назад

      @@t1n4444 all will be explained in upcoming videos but vetus marine actually ended up giving us a very good deal on a new shaft and cutlass bearings (Paul will explain all that better than I ) so going to replace it all and then at a later stage send the damaged prop for refurbishment so we’ll now have spares as you never know when this happens again🤷🏼‍♀️😉

    Ah ye old Fore peak gas locker,doesnt look that bad Paul just a bit of surface rust to be expected when dragging gas bottles around. May I suggest some sort of rubber mat on th ebottom after the paint treatment is fully dry.Then I suggest a nice old beer ...or even two . but please no more of that Fosters stuff ,its an Australian plot to corrupt the world.
    Mel that Hound's tooth check jacket is very chic but far to nice to wear when youre number one hash slinger...but I love your taste anyway.
    Cheers from me and warm sunny Canada XXX
