Wow, what an amazing and very hard job you two have done, Annabelle is looking fantastic and in great shape! Another as usual excellent and well put together video. Cheers.
So glad all has been done gd job by Paul again and you for your support about time things went well for you thinking of you both take care now Ann n David
Thanks so much Ann and David! I guess things going wrong actually means they are going right, we get such lovely comments here and also learn so much, about boats (and also each-other) so in many ways things going wrong has been good.. but yes, if nothing went wrong for a while that would be grand!😂
Paul is one man you would definitely want on your team, in fact he's a one man team. Mel, you're doing a great job keeping him fed and happy. An excellent job you two, thanks, and take care.
Yet another enjoyable vlog showing Paul beavering away to make your home on the water both secure and looking good 👏👏. 'Winter' is still a while off yet Mel - this is just the usual wet and windy Autumn! Every time you think "not more rain!" just look out at the trees, the green grass and any remaining flowers to remind yourself that beauty would not be there without the rain 🌨. Looking forward to seeing your next adventure.
Hi Mel Paul,so pleased you get your boat back in the water, got to say Paul you not missed anything on the stern was the a new rudder Bering you but in as well ,you would make a great team leader as you do everything perfect, you take so much pride in your work no bogging with you if it’s not right first time then you do it again,so glad to see Mel looking after you she is a good woman, just love listening to her talk and tell us what is going on ,is that the same size prop Paul probably looks bigger because it’s all shiny lol,Paul how dose it all feel now ,now it’s all new and tight beautiful I bet ,nice journey home that was a good test for everything at least the paint did not full off lol hehe 😉,till next time take care keep safe, John 👩🦳👏👀👍😘😂😂👏🙌🙌
😂 thanks John! Yeah same size prop as before - it did look all shiny new didn’t it? Cruise home was nerve wracking but all was fine on the end! Take care John!❤️
Congratulations on completing all your jobs. WELL Done ! You must be feeling great now and deserve a beer or two for sure. Keep safe and well.....chris x
Excellent mini series on the prop replacement. Well done for the team effort. That Vetus assembly certainly looked complicated. You wonder how the bearing was lubricated and cooled with the non existent "outflow"? I have the old fashioned stuffing bracket with the greaser tube thank goodness. I couldn't fit into the space to sort out the plumbing if that sort of Vetus gland was on my boat! Lastly, it must have been a sort of heart in mouth moment as the water rose up over the cutlass bearing! I'd have been having kittens 😂😂😂
Hahaha! Yes, Ross Paul was nervous all the way home on the river! I didn’t film much because he got quite serious (like you say with having kittens!) but he even lifted the hatch above the engine a few time just to make sure!😉 it was all alright, thanks so much for watching it all with us!👍🏻
@@MelandPaulMunro 😂😂😂 nothing beats the "Mark 1 Eyeball Inspection"!!! And dare I mention with "hands on" testing of the temperature of the assembly to judge if the water throughput kept the bearings and shaft cool. I suppose pre replacement the mass of the solid prop shaft acted as a heat sink, sort of more or less. Presumably he/yourself have been doing regular checks when on the mooring too ... I know I would!!! 😂😂😂😂
You should be congratulated for getting those important tasks completed in time for winter. Now to keep the home fires burning! What an adventure, I can’t even imagine what it’s going to be like on the boat in the coming months, can you knit? 😂
Great job and it's not overkill to tack weld the rudder to the stock. Over time the holes the bolts go through would have gone egg shaped and then you would have a floppy rudder. I know from experience.
You are talking (and showing) a view of the cut surface. You say it looks (awsome?) from that angle. But if you take a step to the other side of the barrier and jump into the water, you can get exactly the same view. Why don't you do that and share your adventure with us? :)) Like your vlogs...
Job well done congrats Paul and of course Mel for support, now enjoy the fruits of your labour
Thanks Bill🙌🏻
Amazing job you two, what an absolute star is Paul...! Annabelle looking a million dollars... Well done both.. 🍷🍷

Will have to say, there is a certain beauty to be found in the combination of fresh blacking and shiny brass.
100% we almost wished the water didn’t have to cover it up again! All that work - never to be see again😂😉
What a great job filming all the work done on the boat. As an old US tv show use to say "love it when a plan comes together".
Absolutely 🙌🏻 thank you
Great to see it all come together for you at the end. Nothing stopping you now full steam ahead⛴😊
🙌🏻👍🏻 thanks so much!
Beautiful video and beautiful music. The boat looks great👍

Now you know why in the haulage industry, DHL is known as ‘ Day and Half Late’ 😁 they always live up to their name 😂
Or Drop it, hide it, lose it.
Paul’s a grafter. For sure.
You folks sure have done alot since purchasing Annabelle.
Thanks so much Sharon, yes, slowly she’s coming together! ☺️🙏🏻

Great vlog! In my opinion, the background music detracts from your presentation. Overkill.
