If there's anybody who can solve a challenge, it's Paul, master of all tasks. This whole van idea, I agree, is going to be a masive cost saver. I don't know what the van cost, but I have a pretty good idea what short term accomodation can cost. My wife when finishing her studies in Oxford moved out of her accomodation and lived in a store room in the lab to save money, mind you, she was working night and day. After watching Paul tackle a few tasks, I know he does his homework, and always thorough. Mel, it looks like youve taken a page from his book, and also keeping up with the nourishments, what a team. Thanks, and take care you two.
The van IS a great solution. Like so many others, I have a van and a Narrowboat. I started in the “Van World” and bought the boat. I know others who have done the opposite. I think they compliment each other really well. Paul is a real grafter and I am certain he will have the van up and running quite quickly, but I know from experience that a van build is hard work. Anyway, I wish you well with the project. A great move.
Well, well, a van! Like anyone most of us are curious about conversions of vans, renovations of homes, diy etc, and one bloke who has attracted a lot of attention as far as van builds is concerned is Greg Virgoes channel. I wish you all the best with your build, along with many others, I’ll be looking forward to the progress! Mel your hat looks great on you.
Hi Mel Paul,so nice to see you lovely people again,so you are converting a van to a camper van very nice to ,with Paul doing the job I bet it turns out dam good ,what make of van is it please I did not see the make, nice work Mell moving all that lead about make sure you wash your hands after you have finished hope you got the ballast right now,.i guess when it’s finished you can have a camper van holiday around the uk or Europe take you pick think as the Russian war continues think I would stay in the uk ,Scotland is absolutely beautiful I could not believe how the west cost is so beautiful and the isle of sky, your choice uk had so much to offer,I see you are using the best insulation it should be nice and cosy when finished,it will save a fortune in rent for Paul when he is working away ,just love your blogs you explain everything you are doing, till next time take care keep yourself safe,John 🌹👀🙏💕🤓❤️👍😎😎🤓🤓
I promise to watch this vlog later but wanted to say that we were thrilled to pass you on the T&M today! Moored up just before the Shardlow Lock til Monday. I yelled at Paul (I was that idiot) we are having THE BEST TIME on our NB holiday! Well worth the trip over from the States. Cheers! Jayne and Andrew.
Hi Jayne!! Yes Paul told me - I was in the kitchen🙄!! I said to him ah! I know who that is as I remembered you saying you were taking tiller girl out! So glad to hear you are enjoying! 🙌🏻☀️❤️
Hi guys, good vlog, I dont think there is any job you two couldn't tackle. Having trips away in the van sounds great fun! A boat and a van what's not to like... 🙌 👍.
the mans got the patients of a saint to do that sound proofing, then, oh no, the same again with the insulation. The catering look pretty tasty though. :-)
I know you have a plan but I've seen van builds where they don't use as much sound proofing it's quite expensive. Like the sticky insulation. What's the plan for the van layout. Different schedules I like it 👍🤣😂
it's 'calorifier' not 'clarifier' - they are two entirely different things -one heats the water, the other makes it clearer. Take a look at teh 'Vandemonium channel and see how David got on and where he had to make corrections, it might save you some expense and headaches...

Thanks Margaret and absolutely! Exciting times!

We both do what’s needed to get the job done!😂🙌🏻✌🏻
Paul's showing his usual attention to detail in the van. Got me wandering Paul, you any good at cabinetry? Might have a job for you! 😉
😂he’d probably find a way to do that too! At some point he’s got to redo the cabinets in our boat anyways😎🙌🏻

Layout to come - still changing ideas daily😂😅
Welcome back guys, hope you’re both keeping fit & well👌
Thanks Gary!
have you just gone past willington ?
No, still at Sawley! We will be going past Willington on Saturday though!😎
Wait a minute, how can boat life be an uphill battle when water never flows uphill?
;)
🙄😂
I'm amused that the youtube captioner conflates "Mel and Paul" to "Mullenpool" - you are hereby renamed the Mullenpools
😂😂😂
you was handling lead weight ,been used as ballast ,gloves are needed to handle it
