7:14 Jeff 'By the way's' himself onto a tangent, and then 'by the way's' into another tangent during that tangent. Incredible!
Love the dynamic of Susie and Jeff on these podcasts. Jeff is so excited to share details! Truly appreciate both of them doing this podcas!
Jeff: “I interrupt because I’m curious. I don’t interrupt to be cute and clever”. 😂
Where's the next episode? I'm all prepped for it
Came here to ask the same
Yep, I'm also eagerly awaiting the second season of this awesome podcast!
It's out now on podbean.
the “by the way” the second laraine newman came on had me dying
susie should be more famous. needs her own talk show
susie is one of those “celebrities” that you can truly adore
I agree. I have her book and it's just like this - she 'talks' to you in the book. I love her.
Love her.
Its such a delight to see how different they both are from their caracters in the series😀
The inability to listen and not interrupt is a nervous tic. I remember a boss berating me for attempting to finish his sentences 😂😂😂....
Y’all saying Jeff talks too much but tbh, when he gets quiet, there’s an awkward silence.. just picked up on that. So it’s a good thing he keeps talking and with such passion. He and Susie a great pair. Give him a break. ❤
I have completely turned around to how much Jeff Talks I used to think he talked too much but like…,, he’s so clearly excited to talk about his improv partners and how proud of the show he is and Susie doesn’t seem to mind
he was part of the creation, he has more to say, she’s almost the narrator…
@@Kate98755excellent point!
The pauses are mostly due to lag bc they filmed this via Zoom. He interrupts just as much in-person and the pauses don't usually occur.
It's not that he talks too much, it's that he constantly interrupts and cuts her off and talks over her, and then sometimes has the nerve to say "wait, let me finish". Good guy, awareness of a 9 year old.
27:32 "Was it in Japanese?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That timing. I'm dead.
Jeff’s “hold on” count: 20
Jeff’s “by the way” count: 44
some of the by the ways were cracking me up this time. i think he by the wayed his own by the way twice
They def don’t read these comments either
Only 44? I would’ve thought over 100 per podcast LOL
There has to be some betting action on these numbers in LV or online or somewhere.
@@johnbatali hah. They’ve got an over-under on by the ways
3:40 - The sex/boundaries discussion is truly brilliant, and as far as I can remember completely original - never heard this in any other show. So true and so brilliant, and so was the result of it as well. This was one of the best Curb Your Enthusiasms.
Amd Cheryl's acting is so perfect, she is so beaufiful and feminine! Just awesome.
When are the next episodes?? I keep checking the last 2 weeks. Love this show so much. Adore Jeff and Susie and their relationship ❤️❤️
BY THE WAY, .... I heard it is the 23rd how reliable that is I can not tell you but HEY what do I know.
@@_GarethRossUK thank you for the reply! Fingers crossed it comes back then!
@@brookebailey7240 I found it somewhere I can not for the life of me remember where but that source was clearly wrong, we continue to wait.
It's just incredible how much more pleasant Susie is than her character.
right? susie essman is a sweetheart
Great job by Susie. Amazing how she can keep plugging away as Jeff constantly interrupts her.
They've been friends for a long time and she understands he's ADHD and can't help it.
I no longer see it as interrupting - he's adding so much detail to every situation they're talking about...
@@brandonhaygood5286 VERY TRUE
@@brandonhaygood5286 Wait, is he really ADHD? My roommate does that to me all the time and even has the guts to raise a hand and say "Now, now HEEEAR ME OOOUUUT
No theyre both great, this creates dynamics.
Finding humor in the support group is such a delicate thing, like Laraine said, and I think Jeff nailed why her performance is so funny - the content of what she is saying is so horrifying, but the way she is saying it is so mellow that the juxtaposition is hilarious.
I saw a touching interview with Jeff saying he hasn't watched the final two episodes, and has no intention to... I can identify... I'm gutted that the greatest show of the past 30 years is over...
I might just keep the final episode sealed for emergencies xx
Episode 8 was great, episode 9 was pretty bad, and I am truly afraid to watch 10. I like that sealed for emergencies, but in an emergency I'm afraid it might push me over the edge.
But the last season stinks . It was once a fantastic show but it's really bad now
@@exitscreaming4637
I would not say it's bad exactly, it's just uneven, sometimes really forced and not as funny and not so great ideas, and repeat ideas. I have to hope they do not come back with a 13 season. I think they did this one for the money because they probably did not pay the actors that much - except for Larry.
I was watching a video of Jay Leno, and Jay hired a guy who used to work for Howard Stern for $30K annually, and Jay paid him a cool half-million per year. These f-rs will rip off anyone they can.
@@justgivemethetruthI love them ALL You must be watching a different feed.
@@exitscreaming4637It's great and funny. I have a feeling I know what you don't like. Larry doesn't care.
18:11 - Susie gets in a “by the way” 👍🏼
I love this podcast, please keep it going. Best show, new best pod!!
It was a pleasant surprise to realize (upon rewatching the series) that Uncle Nathan was played by the late Allan Arbus (Putney Swope, Greaser’s Palace, Coffy, etc). R.I.P
Crazy he was married to Diane Arbus and that the guest is Hannah Einbinder's mom🤯
Syd Freeman - Hawkeye's psychiatrist on M.A.S.H. That's how I know him.
Okay, where's the next one?
Love the hour long show keep that going !
I adore this podcast! I can't get enough! It is going to get me through the series finale :-(
Total props for the Officer Judy poster
I've been watching since episode one and I am so that RUclips did this.Podcast, yes, it's so cool l.It's just really great thank you
Jeff is a treasure and a sweetheart. I hope all the negativity in the comments are in essence civilians attempting to roast him.
Yeah I got adhd really bad too and I know where he’s coming from. If you don’t get the thought out it disappears forever. I wish people would get over it already. I’m sure he’s working on it.

you are both great to listen to - love how much you love each other... today, I took the time to go back and watch all of your episodes that I hadn't yet seen/listened to... we didn't get Curb here but I have watched many short clips over the past six months ... I've been saying for more than 30 years that life is like a Seinfeld episode - Curb is the more relatable and realistic version of 'sh8t happens' ... you guys are all brilliantly, naturally hilarious
LOVE Susie and BTW Jeff..... and BTW Larry says BTW a lot too! 😉hahaha GREAT PODCAST! 🤣🤣
Love you both!
These podcast eps are so good. Ive looked forward to them more than i did new epiosdes of season 12.
🤡
I just noticed the Officer Judy poster behind Jeff. RIP Bob Einstein. ❤
The Group is one of my all-time favorites, so I really loved this look behind the curtain. It always cracked me up how his uncle calls Lucy, "A real jazzy number..." & I know what Jeff means about the way Laraine's character recounts the incest. Clearly she has all this bottled-up rage over it based on her tirade at the end, but she tells the story with such tenderness; almost like she's wistful, which adds this layer of depth to the role in a way that is both genuine & hysterical-not because she's nuts or anything, but rather because it makes Larry's presence in the group feel even more inappropriate. Plus, it highlights how vague & silly his story is in comparison: "I had sex with my uncle. He's an osteopath. I don't know what they do, something with muscles I think..."
“The tap on the shoulder” comment - so classic!! 😂😂
Love your show

This is maybe my favourite ending to any episode. Definitely top 5, at least.
The Tourette's episode was my favorite where they are all yelling profanity and the whole restaurant erupts in laughter.
That is the best episode of the best season of the show
I loved Laraine’s portrayal of Lawanda Dumore in Problem Child 2. My brother and I watched that movie all the time growing up!
In before Jeff interrupts BY THE WAY
over/under 5 times?
Didn’t he mention he’s aware of it and will work on not doing it? Clearly, not working on it lol
OK. The aggressive curb mob has informed us these were shot a year ago. I didn’t know that.

I couldnt wait for more podcasts….im on season 4 now. I should prob finish before i watch finale anyways.
Its funny that sammi went from boy to girl simply bc of lack of paying attention
I have to agree with the fat man, this episode was the best of the season. A true classic. Great job, Susie and Jeff.
There were a couple of moments in this episode where Jeff not only did not interrupt Susie, but he was actually silent for a couple of moments. I was so startled in these instances I momentarily feared he was having another stroke.
25:38 - Whatever happened in the last seasons with this great music that CYE used to have throughout almost every season until 11 & 12. We are hearing much different music, except for the Frolic theme in the episodes.
And Laraine Newman was absolutely brilliant, perfect in that roll. She was so cute and still is. Laraine Newman was to Saturday Might Live and that episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm what Goldie Hawn was to Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In. She was great and in all the great skits ... the Coneheads, and Weekend Update was it?
Does anyone related the little bump in the opening CYE music to the pratfall music in the opening of the Dick Van Dyke show when he trips over the footrest ... or whatever that is called?
Classic stuff.
jeff says by the way so much hes got sussie saying it now
Is this it? They're only going to do the first season?
I enjoyed it, despite Jeff's unpleasant interrupting.
I was hoping they were going to continue through all the seasons.
Avuncular!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 What an episode !!!
Jeff is watching the first seasons of classic sitcoms!
The other fat line by Larry was: “It’s good to have a fat friend. They don’t even feel it.” I thought this was one of the funniest lines in the episode, but they just confirmed that Larry would edit that out today. Perfect example of what’s happened to the show…
Exactly . They act like that's a good thing . Sad.
@@exitscreaming4637 They mentioned a similar thing in the last episode as well. Is it possible they have no idea how the show has gone downhill??

Yes, and, BTW.

Loving this podcast. I have no issues with Jeff’s “by the way” comments. His zigs and zags bring a lot of interesting information and behind the scenes trivia into each episode. Thanks Susie and Jeff. Can’t wait for the next one!
Laraine looks great!
13:06 - The key-throwing moment is so cringe ... Larry, what a jerk! And then to top it off, turn on the A/C!
The looks that Cheryl emotes are just so perfect - no other actress could ever have been as good.
It was like Larry was degrading Cheryl to show off for Lucy. There is a lot of subtlty in that scene,
it's really clever.
Jeff is right about "cute" killing comedy, but I never thought of "clever" as doing the same. As I listen to the interview after he said that, I've come to believe he's right about that, too. "Clever" isn't great, but not horrible - whereas "Cute" IS awful.
One of the best ever Curbs. So excruciating. It set a high bar. And Jeff, dear, I know you know now but for heaven's sake stop interrupting! It made this podcast a bit exhausting. Susie has the patience of a saint 😂
Where’s the next episode!!! Pls help!!!
It's been several weeks, is the podcast coming back?
Ben Vareen...that's hilarious
@7:18 Jeff says "BAGINA monologues"
No Uber, but you called a cab on your cell phone, and they were there in minutes. Only difference, the cabs were insured, and drivers benefits, workman;s comp, protections, etc.
Especially when you’re wealthy and in Southern California. If you don’t like cabs, there’s been car services forever unless I’m missing something.
Not where I live, big suburb. Tried to find a taxi on a Thursday night at 11pm? Nope
And the cab company PROVIDES the vehicle. Uber is a greedy fuck passing all of THEIR overhead on to the employee while keeping all the PROFIT. It's up there with self checkout. You have to be moron to participate in that bullshit. Pay me I'll check my self out. Give me the vehicle or % of the PROFITS and then see me.

Doesn’t mean he needs to interrupt
So he needs to interrupt her ? Bizarre thought process
@@exitscreaming4637 You are right. He shouldn't interrupt Susie I was just trying to explain perhaps why.
