Susie is a saint. Drinking game for every time Jeff interupts or stops her mid thought with "By the way" Love him but he interrupts her too much......thought this might slow down after the first season......Car Salesman, one of my favorite episodes....

Agree. George is my favourite character by a mile, AND in a sea of great characters.
Uh somewhere I read he was considered the best character in TV history.
And Michael Richards and David Hyde Pierce won all the best supporting actor Emmys.

@@David99356 I am losing my mind with Jeff and his interruptions and "by the ways"..one of those producers need to pull him aside and get him some media training. It is not fair to Susie, he interrupts her constantly. Something is wrong with that guy. 40 years in showbiz he should know how to behave......it really is distracting....Susie is a saint....

I have a memory of watching this on Tuesday night Sept 11 2001 and then an episode of Band of Brothers. But everything says it premiered on Sunday Sept 23rd
i saw the final episode of curb your enthusiasm i loved it i'll miss it i'll see the reruns on hbomax known as max since i have it love the series one of my favorites love the cast seen it many times love larry david thanks larry and the cast for 20+ years of laughs end of a era

Jeff, they had to use green screen because Cheryl has to stand in front of the TV because Larry gestures to her to get out of the way because she’s blocking Maury. If she wasn’t in front of the TV you’d lose that comedic element.
Why does that require green screen? Can't she just stand in front of a real TV playing Maury?

Early seasons: hand-held, still mock documentary style, stories still based on real-life/plausible events.
Historical arc of Curb similiar to that of Seinfled - where later seasons are somewhat absurdist, with convoluted storylines, more and more outlandish/impossible action, etc. (Garland is correct to prefer early Curb).
Agree one thousand percent. Hate the past few seasons. Just god awful slapstick comedy with no subtlety or endearing qualities whatsoever. Thank god it's over.
It's surprising they haven't acknowledged Richard's death...unless these were recorded months ago..?

I am curious how other people are consuming the podcast? Personally I re-watch the episode and then immediately watch the podcast about it. The only problem is that the majority of the podcast is just them retelling everything you already saw on the show. Should I stop re-watching the episode before seeing the podcast?
