Bro, thank you so much for making this video!!! Been bloody searching for the vrr testing for 1440p, but couldn’t find any. Amazing testing video and thanks!!🎉🙌😃
@@DisplayReality it's just grayish. Not pitch black like on the TV counterparts. I'm on 60 and it's still bad. Really weird. Is it because of the matte screen?
@ViktorsReality Late to the party but quick question have you noticed any Motion Blur when using this monitor with either Next Gen Console the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X at 60hz or 120hz?
It doesn't have anything to do directly with the Playstation 5, but a quick question: did you notice flickering on the PC in combination with G-Sync? when i turn it off in the display options (windows options) it's gone. in normal gaming it is hardly noticeable... but in menus or lobbies like in Modern Warfare II.
I dealt with this problem. Didn’t really find a way around it so had to turn it off when I used it for pc gaming but for ps5 etc worked fine then few days later mine stopped working.
Thank you for all the amazing Monitor Videos. You told that no Monitor on the market can beat the picture of LG 27GR95QE. I bought the LG 27GR95QE and thought the same. But now, I got the new ASUS PG27AQDM OLED Monitor. This Monitor is so much brighter than the LG27GR95QE. No Fan noise because great passive cooling. PS5 1440p HDR with VRR up to 120Hz works with HDMI 2.0. The same good news for Xbox sx.
Congrats friend... but update your PG27AQDM asap. Asus has issued a mandatory firmware update. Microcenter has issued a $50 credit or recall on the monitor. The firmware needs to be updated as soon as possible. Its on the Asus website. Im making a video on it. Pls let me know here on any more findings brighter, better etc you have found so I can tell everyone. Thx friend...
But actually you can run this monitor at 4k 120hz also on PS5, because with the HDMI 2.1 is possible to do it. So there is no reason to put the resolution back to 1440p, right? What do you think about it?
Ps5 and Xbox both have built in scalers. So 1440p is great, but setting it at 4k will give you more info and according to digital foundry a better image due to the downsampling.
i've owned this monitor for 2 hours and after SO much playing around.. It's not worth the £850 price tag. It just isn't good enough.. Having the MAX nits at 200 is sub par to say the least. Time to send it back.
hey any chance you could link the cord you're using? im trying to use an elgato so capture my gameplay but the hdmi i have plugged in it says "The connected HDMI device doesn't support 1440p output." I'd appreciate if you knew or could link what cord you use
Just showing somethings here on the GR version. I just think this version cannot get bright enough. Gamer 2 is how I have it. Hdr does get nicer so hdr would be best to get the max out of this
my monitor is same yours, I already configured my ps5 settings the same as yours that you showed in this video, I don't know why my monitor is still at 60hz, how do I put 120HZ?
@@DisplayReality because the screen is still showing 60hz, and I've already double-checked all my ps5 settings, just like you're showing in your video. I don’t know what happened , like why the screen don’t show me 120hz 🥹

Watching this Video on my new LG 27GR95QE .... i love this monitor !
I have the monitor too. Question... How come on end credits the blacks are terrible? Are my settings wrong?
@@alllivesmatter3561what do you see? Like greyish? Check your black stabalizer sett8ngs. 55/60 is still ok. The higher you go you lose contrast

I can’t imagine wanting more than 100-200 nits in SDR. I play in a dark room and would burn my retinas at 400 nits lol.

NO HDMI 2.1 ON THE ASUS MONITOR...YOU ARE STUCK AT 18 GIGS VS A FULL 48 WHICH WILL MAKE THE PICTURE AND COLORS POP A LOT MORE...HARD PASS
I'm pretty sure you need hdmi 2.1 for VRR on PS5, it's not going to work with hdmi 2.0
How's the input delay for FPS games?
Does that mean that games with choppy fps in 4K could run much smoother in 1440p ? Or is it just downsampling?
I’ve wondered this too lol 😆

Hi. Great video, i wanted to ask why HDR is off ?
The VRR test shows both sdr and hdr but I just hade sdr to show the vivid preset. So its easily seen

Now in 2024 I agree its subpar.. so many options now and even more in 2 months...
What are your thoughts on ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM?
Me? Ugh as a ps5 user hdmi2.1 is a must unfortunately its only 2.0 :/
What are your settings for the PS5 version? i feel like my blacks are too dark..
I would be even more happier if LG releases fix for low brightness through firmware. Brightness is too low
Sams Bro
It's a hardware limitation. Even if they could fix it they won't.
if you want brighter, you want the ASUS OLED.
my LG Oled monitor makes a silent Buzzing noise as soon as I turn it on. Does your Monitor do the same? Can you hear a noise?
Why doesn’t the monitor access all options in settings?
Does HDR work in 1440p with VRR on ps5? Or does it have to be virtual 4K like on Xbox for HDR to work?
Thanks just saw it works in video. Unbelievable that HDR isn’t supported on Xbox in 1440p
hey any chance you could link the cord you're using? im trying to use an elgato so capture my gameplay but the hdmi i have plugged in it says "The connected HDMI device doesn't support 1440p output." I'd appreciate if you knew or could link what cord you use
uestion does the lg gn27800-b support vrr and allm too?
My remote isn’t working - can I get a LG compatible remote and use that instead??
How was playing with HDR enabled? I see in the video HDR was turned off.
The test and ghost wire were hdr. Idk.. maybe for that bit of the vid it was off.
Could you the same video but for an Xbox series X
Hello why i cant start 1440p with hdr on ps5 i must change to 2160p ??
When is this monitor going to release in India?
I have been waiting for the Asus version of this monitor. It has only HDMI 2.0. Will the ps5 still do 1440p @ 120 hz with hdmi 2.0?
Yes 1440p120hz. As soon as I get one I'll test for sure.
@@DisplayReality Can that answer also apply to the XBOX series X?
Yo Viktor

no allm on ps5 😢
Does anybody know of 1440p vrr also works with ps5 and the LG 27gp850-B?
yes tf
@@_INVU_ how does it works as PS5 an VRR needs HDMI 2.1. That LG panel has HDMI 2.0b
I don’t think it does cuz I just bought a gp850 and cannot get vrr to work
Can you run 1440p on the c2 oled??

Hi why does my PS5 display resolution say 3840x2160-60 hz
The monitor can read 4k. But in your ps5 change to 1440p if you want that.

My remote died
Vivid mode disables the low latency mode for gaming so not reccomended to use
True.. I like das mode so I usually keep it on gamer presets
This monitor is better than Samsung odyssey Neo g8
Its clearer yes but brightness is important to me and I need that impact. Trade offs for sure..
Can i get a 4k signal on pc?
Yes 👍
yes
I buy this Monitor and the Brightness is very low. After i Give ist Back. Bad Job LG !
ALLM dont work on ps 5
New ps5 updates are being tested always. VRR just started. Im sure new features will be added. The test showed what works so far.
