    Let's put it this way, you just don't like WOLED displays with a matte coating and that is totally personal preference you know why? Because Matte coating helps me play on this display during the afternoons in my room with sunlight filtering in through curtains. These matte coatings are super resistant to micro scratching which is super useful especially when you have little kittens at home that like to attack their own reflection on the screen and leave paw marks that are super easily visible on QD OLEDs and I had to exchange them for a WOLED. The coating absolutelty doesn't take away from the beauty of this monitor as from a playing distance the monitor looks remarkably the same to the MSI QD OLED that I exchanged out and even better during day time because blacks are not magenta. Stop WOLED shaming

I’d like to know the optimal resolution, PS5 settings, and monitor configurations to achieve the best performance, including higher frame rates, the best picture quality, and proper VRR (Variable Refresh Rate) functionality.
    Since the monitor supports HDMI 2.1 and can receive a 4K signal before downscaling it to fit its native resolution, what settings should I apply on both the PS5 and the monitor to maximize performance and visuals? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

    DO NOT listen to this guy! He probably made a secret pact with samsung and got 1.99 dollars in return. I got this monitor for 630 EUR and I'm really happy with it. I guess the biggest downside would be a slightly dirty looking screen on very bright colors like white. And yes reading text is not crystal clear but at least there is no fringing or you could enable cleartype and get clearer text with fringing (there is a choice). HDR looks beautiful on this monitor although could be a touch brighter ( just don't forget to enable it in game as well as on windows).The included remote is very very handy for adjusting something very quickly. The monitor does image cleaning in standby (takes only a few minutes ) and wakes up from sleep with no problems.

      @@TypeCTechReviews I HAVE this model, and I totally disagree with you on practically every point. From the text (you have to be practically 3-4 inches from the screen to notice that), to the matte coating (great for gaming in a well-lit room or space (unlike glossy OLEDs). For the price, I think this is a GREAT value for anyone. You obviously are infatuated with glossy OLEDs/QLED (which is fine), but you don't have to s...t all over other OLEDs which are better than your picks (in many respects).

    Wdh is wrong with this guy. So much negativity. Why complain about ur monitor wobbling when ur shaking it? Unless you have a pretty shaky table, you’re not gonna notice it. Letter fuzziness? Wdh. Get yourself some glasses man.

    rtings seem to love matte finishes. I wonder sometimes if that pushes companies to use matte. The GP950's semi-gloss is great and my C1's glossy screen is beautiful. LG's gaming monitors have become kinda bad (I have the 27gr95um mini-led and it's "gamer profiles" dim bad in HDR depending on the scene).

    • @TypeCTechReviews
      @TypeCTechReviews  4 месяца назад +1

      Yea rtings are great at testing, but bad at objectively looking at products and formulating opinions especially based on value. This is extremely apparent with their keyboard reviews, no hate all love, but we all have our place in the tech reviewing space.

    I bought this monitor and returned it after 2 days… it has a really bad vignetting, edges of the screen are much dimmer than the middle its really annoying and of course you cant turn it off… switched to asus same problem but there is an option in settings to turn it off so the Asus is much better for me and its much brighter than the LG
    I played with LG on 100 Brightness with Peak Brightness on High and it still wasnt bright enough for me it would get really bright but then it would dimm after few minutes
    And on Asus im playing on 60 brightness and if i go above it really hurts my eyes it is really bright
    But one thing that i really liked on LG monitor was the remote

      @@jessieball6195 Yeah you cant turn off vignetting.. middle of the screen is much brighter then on the edges. When i played cs or valorant my mini map and HP were too dark and in the middle of the screen everything was too bright especially if u go to place where is a lot of white color then it gets so bright that it hurts my eyes. But the edges of the screen dont change they stay dark. On desktop sometimes would edges get brighter and then after few minutes you can see it how it gets more and more dim. It was really bad for me. So im really happy with Asus monitor and im still using it :)
