I know this video is well over a year old - but just ran across it. I used to love going into Glasgow when i was staioned in Holy Loch with the US Navy. I had a flat in Dunoon. I must go bak one day. Love your channel.
Same thing happened to me when I was in Glasgow. Hydro was all lit up but the Armadillo was not. I talked to a cab driver out front of the Hydro and asked if the lights would come on at some point but he said lights are turned on only for events. One suggestion.... not that you need it.... but I got some cool shots of the Hydro reflected in puddles in the parking lot right outside the hydro.
Thanks Craig. Glad the foot is better and wishing you a speedy recovery. Love the images and waterfront there. I'm wondering with the long exposures to smooth the water, how you manage not to blow out the building lights? Thank you again!
Cracking video as ever Craig. Absolutely loved the abstract tree reflection of the Armadillo. Shame it wasn't available to you on this visit. Hope you foot improves soon.
Craig this video inspired me to get into Glasgow and give it a go.I watched the video a couple of times to get the idea of what to look for and off I went. Not all my images were perfect as night photography is new to me and had to play with settings etc. However after learning from this video I came home with a few nice shots!
Hello Craig, your vlogs are always brilliant; funny and informative and you made me wish I was there. Finally, your images Edinburgh and Glasgow were absolutely stunning, what a great photographer you are. Thank you very much for sharing your talent ...
Hi Craig - what a great location ! Very inspiring, thank you. As for the foot: sorry to hear you are still suffering - if it is anything like peronial tendonitis, which I suffered with last year, it could take several months to heal, although l hope things improve much sooner.
Nice one Craig , your vlog inspired me to visit the area as i only live 15mins away. I've been down a couple a couple times now with camera and got some nice results ..Enjoying your vlogs and picking some tips cheers
Magic shots, Craig. Shame about the lights. Was it during the week or the weekend you were there ? You would think it would be all lit up on the weekend for tourists and the locals. Not many people walking around while you were there. Are there many restaurants, cafes and bars there ? It looks an ideal place for it.
Great video as always but shame it didn't work as planned as you mentioned. Wonder if perhaps you could make a video on the creating process that goes into making your videos. That would be fun to watch and would also highlight the tremendous work that goes into making content for your channel. Kudos and get well soon mate.
There’s something about Glasgow, maybe it’s because it’s a city full of surprises, but it’s definitely one of my favourite cities. As always a brilliant video with awesome shots (albeit they were from last year). Sorry to hear your foots still playing up.
Really liked the video and you still got some cracking shots despite the lighting problems. I also like the way you inter cut with timelapse sections, do you use a second camera for timelapses? Maybe a vlog on capturing timelapse would be interesting to watch?
Nice video, Craig, pity about the Armadillo, that's quite unusual it was not lit up. Pacific quay is one of my favourite places to shoot as I used to work up there, so i have shot that area to death myself lol. However I always enjoy going back to it and tend to lose all sense of time shooting there! Did you get any shots around the science centre and IMAX? I found they provide some great compositions and the IMAX has its own mini pool around the side, which was is good for long exposure and light refelctions but last time I was there they had drained the water! Anyway great to see you put up a video of my home city and look to forward to your next one. :)
It must be the days you are going perhaps no events are on, actually even the Hydro one night I was up wasn't even lit, which nine times out of ten it always is! They must having been saving their electric bill. ;-)
Actually I had read just there was a fire at the Armadillo back in May, so they probably now switch off the lights as a safety measure. So I guess you would need to check the whats on guide for the venue to see when the lights will be switched on in future.
Hi Craig, didnt know how to get in contact so i figured i should just talk to you here. I have been questioning myself regarding monitor size and brightness for photo editing. 1. How big should a monitor be for photo editing for a magazine or ipad? If the monitor is too big (~27"), the photo would be larger and render a different point of view. But too small, sharpness and focus might not be visble unless zoomed in. 2. How bright should a monitor be? Too bright, a photo might look "overexposed" while too dark might cause "underexpose" editing. Then theres the problem of different people viewing at different brightness. So im just confused right now.

Your composition skills are phenomenal. Thanks again for sharing!
Excellent video and shots. Really loved your night shots and compositions in particular. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Craig, I always enjoy the urban compositions of your images, you have a very good eye for it. Cheers.
Fantastic riverside photos
Amazing night shots. One of my favorites is the close up of the Armadillo with the reflection making a graphic/abstract composition.

Another excellent video, keep them coming please.
Lovely Craig. I live not far from Glasgow and just you can't see much of anything due to the bloody continual rain!! Great shots and video :-)
Jim
Very nice, thanks for including shot settings on some of your shots. You always give me new inspiration for shooting different scenes, Cheers.
Great shots!

I didn't understand a word you said! But i presume it's a compliment? ;-)

Very nice video and beautiful shots. What's the name of the track in the end of the video?
Many cracking shots in there Craig. The old and the new. I love your videos and your relaxed delivery style. Thanks for all the great content. Cheers.
Ollie Broadie a ton of cracking shots .... the shots were just cracking .... i cant believe the amount of crack in those shots....
Really liked the video and you still got some cracking shots despite the lighting problems. I also like the way you inter cut with timelapse sections, do you use a second camera for timelapses? Maybe a vlog on capturing timelapse would be interesting to watch?
Very simple really Chris. I just capture video for 10mins and speed up in the edit.

I got a couple of pics of Science Centre last time. It's actually the third time the Armadillo hasn't been lit up for me!

Hope your foot get better. Beautiful images. Question: How large do you print your micro 4/3rd images?
As large as needs be. A3 or even 20x30 no problems
Do you worry about getting robbed?
I worry more about getting hit by a bus!
