I watched your video 3 times, why? Because I wanted to know why people had disliked it, I get this a lot on my own videos too. I have to say Craig I have no idea why anyone would dislike this video, you're clear with your narration, your photos are great, you explain your shots well and the editing & production is really professional. I know I shouldn't care, but I would love to know who the people are, and why, who hit that thumbs down. Keep up the great work.
Everyone's entitled to their own opinion John, and it's part and parcel of RUclips. I'm not bothered by the thumbs down and you shouldn't be either. If people don't like what you do, they seem to want to tell you too!
9. Your photos are beautiful. 10. You make lemonade out of lemons on days when I would just stay inside with a book. 11. It bears repeating: your videos are informative and educating with a jolly good sense of humor.
Nice photography! As it happens I'm on my first trip to Edinburgh at the moment and plan on going out tonight to shoot some street stuff, thanks for the tips!
Hello Craig, apologies for the weather. Edinburgh is my City but have been living in Northern Ireland these past 45 years. Loved your images with the large exposures and the ISO of 800. Fabulous images brought back many happy memories. Now look forward to viewing your Glasgow Vlog. Best regards, Allan Davies.
Thank you Craig. Great to see you back. I love the surreal and moody images you captured. As you said, you just never know with weather. Classic alley shots. Thanks for your work. See you in Glasgow.
Shame about the weather but you got some real nice shots of the closes. Maybe on your next visit you can get the vennel leading down to the Grassmarket from Heriot Place with great views of the castle.
I stumbled across your channel by accident and am so pleased that I did. I love your style, humour and choice of music and your photographs are truly amazing. Thank you for sharing. I have subscribed.
Great video. I was in Edinburgh a few weeks ago, with similar light issues (i.e. rain). I managed to take some atmospheric pics tho, including alleyways etc. I actually got up at 6am to avoid the crowds.
Always look forward to your videos, Craig. You have such a brilliant eye for composition. I'm inspired to get out and see what Bournemouth delivers at night
I've watched this video several times now and always enjoy it. Is your original edinburgh vlog still available? I'm sure I've seen you doing a vlog around the circuses and crescent of the New Town area. It was that one that inspired me to find those places when I visited recently.
As always, amazing shots! But what really did it for me was the music this time. It blended perfectly with the evening and wasn't intrusive at all, could really feel the whole atmosphere. Great editing. Thanks Craig.
Hi Craig watched this when you first published it, thought i`d left a thumbs up but no, so just making up now, really enjoyed it ,went out and did some likewise shots didn`t come out to bad a little more practice needed
Great video, Craig, great to see another on here, Edinburgh is always one of the most photogenic cities, night or day. Will you be putting your Glasgow video up on RUclips or will it be an e6 subscription one?
As always, an inspiring video, thank you Craig. A question: You appear to travel alone - do you ever have any safety incidents? Back alleys at night aren't necessarily the safest environments {:-)
I'd never tip a busker who was playing the bagpipes. Not unless it was understood that I was paying them to STFU for a few minutes. The sound reminds me of "the most annoying sound in the world" from Dumb and Dumber, but without the humour. ruclips.net/video/0cVlTeIATBs/видео.html
No technical photography jargon, straight and easy to understand , Enjoy watching your videos
Reasons why I enjoy your videos:
1) You are a grown up
2) You don’t pretend to have ADHD
3) You know how to make videography with music
4) you don't start with "Hey guys, wassup?" Or wear a hat backwards.
5) a nice sense of humor
I have a feeling those guys actually do have ADHD - not that there's anything wrong with that.......
Thanks. You have all given me an idea for my next video though! ;-)
6. Your videos are informative, not about advertising the latest gear
7. They are all about the experience of 'going out on a shoot'

Good stuff and nice to see you visit my backyard. Haven't actually done much photography in Edinburgh but might do a visit or two over Christmas. Atb
Brilliant shots. I was there 2 years ago on a holiday from Australia and did a series of photos in the ally's, very atmospheric.

Great video Craig, who needs a sunset when youve got super atmospheric alleyways like that to shoot.
Great mood images. ❤️

Brilliant as usual good shots no faff you’ve planted ideas in my head as I always ignore my home city
Thanks for sharing, great atmosphere, looking forward to your Glasgow shoot.
Cheers...Peter.
Excellent as always
Always look forward to your videos, Craig. You have such a brilliant eye for composition. I'm inspired to get out and see what Bournemouth delivers at night
Some great photos there Craig. I suspect the Olympus image stabilisation is pretty useful in those circumstances.
Very useful Nick!
A beauty atmospheric video with some awesome shots. It’s been a while since your last video, I hope you’re keeping ok and your foot is better.
Really nice images and Im due to travel there in 2 weeks so you've provided some great inspiration to get out and about the city
That was really enjoyable. I'm a mediocre picture-taker, but you make me want to take a walk with my camera and see what images I can find.
I've watched this video several times now and always enjoy it. Is your original edinburgh vlog still available? I'm sure I've seen you doing a vlog around the circuses and crescent of the New Town area. It was that one that inspired me to find those places when I visited recently.
Well done, as usual.
Great video. Looking forward to your next video. Keep them coming.
Nice video, I would love to travel to Glasgow and Edinburgh some day.
As always, amazing shots! But what really did it for me was the music this time. It blended perfectly with the evening and wasn't intrusive at all, could really feel the whole atmosphere. Great editing. Thanks Craig.
It's taken 50-odd videos, but I seem to have got the music right for everyone this time! You might not want to watch the next one however...!
Great pics and a good video
Hi Craig watched this when you first published it, thought i`d left a thumbs up but no, so just making up now, really enjoyed it ,went out and did some likewise shots didn`t come out to bad a little more practice needed
I love seeing how you frame your photos and the cut from video to the actual frame. I learned, construction cranes = bad for landscape.
I don't usually like your urban videos but I love this because its night I suppose:) Fantastic images of the alleys!
Great work!
Very nice job and very enjoyable. 👌
Love the pictures from the ally ways
Fantastic advice and great photos. Subscribed! :D
Nice images craig👌
Great video, Craig, great to see another on here, Edinburgh is always one of the most photogenic cities, night or day. Will you be putting your Glasgow video up on RUclips or will it be an e6 subscription one?
Thanks Kenny. The next Glasgow one will be on RUclips, but if you're interested, there's three additional ones of Glasgow coming for e6 Subscribers.
An interesting video on photographing Edinburgh.
Good, clear commentary for grown ups no teenage slang was used in this video ! Lol
It was banging wasn't it?!
Awesome content!
great video and some nice stills too. how to you keep steady handheld with those sloooow shutter speeds ?
My part time job as a Steet-Statue really pays off!
Oh, the car park bridge is demolished? lol, wtf. I walk over that when I park in Edi! Oh well, cross the busy road at the pelican now I guess.
That graffiti idiot gets everywhere!
Lovely compositions, Craig.
As always, an inspiring video, thank you Craig.
A question: You appear to travel alone - do you ever have any safety incidents? Back alleys at night aren't necessarily the safest environments {:-)
Edinburgh felt very safe Rob, even in those dark alleyways. Always watch my back though, just in case.
Great video as always... @buford.t.shutter
