As always, time well spent with Craig's video.. Informative and fun, well edited, real joy to watch. True master of photography and really underated RUclipsr!
Just discovered your channel a couple days ago and I’m completely addicted! I really like how you edit your videos, your honesty and they way you approach photography. The long exposures that you took on this vídeos are gorgeous!
I really enjoy all of your videos but the work you do in the cities is especially enjoyable. It is not only inspirational and educational for me but also fun to see how much these cities have changed since I last saw them 15-20 years ago.
Always has been my 'go to photographer' for inspiration using good old down to earth creative imagination. A 'happy Craig' makes for a happy Michael : p
Thanks Craig for the recent vlogs from London Edinburgh and Glasgow. I enjoyed some architectural phototgraphy amongst the landscape photography for a change. I thought the black and white shots brought out the moods of the buildings well.
Just come across your videos Craig. Very impressed. Bit naughty though standing right in front of a Keep Fire Exit Clear sign while, eh, blocking the Fire Exit with your tripod. (LOL)
nice video, have to say the 'tripod police' are the biggest pain around London's sights and had numerous arguments with them - sometimes including doing so whilst pressing the remote shutter to capture the shots I wanted whilst they are distracted, (a quiet shutter mode helps too). Good compromise is a monopod with 'feet' (if conditions allow).
Inspiring stuff! Just bought myself a ND-filter set because of your video's! Can't wait to try it out. I'm currently doing street photography, but what interests me in these (NOT) fine art long exposures, is the time you take to determine composition, shutter speed, etc. What are the ideal (weather) circumstances that you're looking for when you want to make photo's like this?
Many thanks for yet another enjoyable video Craig. Something I always look forward to. Your "no-frills-tell-it-like-it-is" presentation is what I really enjoy. A query though about the camera used as it doesn't appear in your list of gear? Bob
Hi Craig. Really like your style! I'd love to know how you process your images, any chance of a video covering that. I'd be especially interested in your long exposure B&W processing. Many thanks.
Great video again, Craig, and some really fantastic shots. Hope it hasn't been too exhausting to move those buildings around ;). Best wishes from Switzerland ... waiting for the next VLog ...
I've only just seen the video and really like it. Your photos in London are first class. For me you are a great master of long exposures in photography. The use of strong ND filters and the combination of gradient filters is very inspiring. In the next weeks I will also buy a filter set 100 and use it for my photography. Please continue. Many greetings from Germany.
Craig, I really enjoyed this vlog. All of the images are so strong and instantly recognizable despite their abstract nature. Not fine art? Perhaps, but they certainly would not be out of place in a posh, west end gallery.
I really like to follow you on your photo sessions! And thank you for this fantastic view on London architecture. I love the town as much as you do and definitely found some inspiration in your video for my next trip. :-)
Craig - Great & interesting video. Really good to see spme different parts of London, off the “usual” places. Also I would be interested to know if the City of London images (Lloyds, Mobile Phone Building, Gerkin) were taken on a weekday or weekend? Also would be interested to know if you got lots of comments about using a tripod in these areas. Security always seems to be attracted to them. Keep up the inspiring videos. Cheers, Richard.
First of all, I'm not sure what shape your phone is, but its the 'walkie talkie' building! ;-). This was filmed at the weekend, but i have done tripod shots on weekdays too. The security in the Square Mile seem be well informed and know the law, so I don't get stopped. Other places you do get jobsworth security and i must admit, i do enjoy a good argument when i know i'm shooting from a public place!
Cheers Craig. How could I have got the name of the “Walkie Talkie” wrong” After all I must have walked past it a thousand times. Even been up to the top level (well worth a visit - skygarden.london/ if you get the chance). I will grasp the nettle, and go and try some long exposure tripod shots in London very soon. Thanks for your reply. It really is appreciated. _ Richard.
Well I called it the SkyGarden in the vlog, but that's not really the building name, so I'm as bad! Yes, I have been up to the top level (I did a vlog of this and three other London views for my website e6subscription). Really impressed with the view. Yes, go shoot some LE and if security bother you, tell 'em I said its ok!
Brilliant. Thought the City skyline was great. I noticed a vignette around some of your building shots. Was that from the grad filter? Also can you recommed a good budget filter brand. Lee are a bit expensive. Cheers
What are the basics of shooting long exposure shots at daytime and in really high light conditions? I set mine to 30 seconds and point it at anything in the day and I get a white photograph!
As usual, captivating music, comments & photographs. There is a kind of addiction following your videos :) My wife is constantly saying we should register for a walk ... Admirators from Brussels
I've just spent most of this evening watching your video's! I've learned some stuff. I've had a lot of new artistic ideas watching your video's BUT most of all... I've enjoyed watching your video's!! Thank you Craig :-)
Can't wait to go back to London. I went a few years back and after taking my camera out of my bag in Trafalgar Square I managed one shot before the bloody camera broke
Pedantic maybe but - Bermondsey, where you had the view of Tower Bridge, Shard, Gherkin and others - it's DOWN river. The closer you are to the sea, the further DOWN you are. By the way - the Sky Garden - it's a great place to visit - free entry but you have to book a time on their website (to avoid overcrowding).
Great video. I'll be visiting London (from Australia) next year and would like to visit many of the locations in your video. Can I expect to be hassled by security?
Hi Craig, enjoying your inspiring vlogs, as usual, an e6 sub is on the cards soon. ( but also need little/big stoppers... LOL!) Going back a bit, I don't know if I've missed it but I haven't seen the vlog using the Zero Image 2000 "at the coast". Is this one reserved for your subscribers? Cheers.
Hi Philip. Well, an e6 subscription is probably the best thing you can spend your money on and Big Stoppers are over-rated anyway! ;-). Yes, there has been a delay on the pinhole camera shoot/video. Not done it yet, but it will come and it will be a RUclips video.
Another fine vlog ( if not fine art ). I think you possibly missed a trick at 5.50 - the reflection of the church and sky behind you could have made a good composition? Look forward to your next video.
Thank you for your amazing vlogs, after seeing your videos I have decided to buy Lee filters. I have Lumix G80 system with two lenses with 62 and 72 mm filter thread (12-60 f2.8-4 and PL-Leica 100-400 f4-5.6). I wanted your opinion on whether to get Lee Filters Deluxe Kit 100mm or the compact LEE Filters Seven5 System Deluxe Kit.
Wonderful results and fun tour. I'm looking forward to exploring your other vids. What microphone do you use? It is visibly windy but your audio is remarkably clear.
I enjoy the dialog even more Craig it is entertaining. By the way London seems to be quite busy constructing upward, is there still land left for an outward expansion? Cheers.
Well done Craig, excellent images which you are the master. More images like these and you could compile a book of London. I do have question for you: With so different aperture settings and big stopper and little stopper. How do YOU arrive at the correct exposure ???
That 'develop' mode on the OMD is pretty amazing. Wish my G85 had it! ... Been watching your videos. Already 3 videos in and I've learned a ton. Subscribed! Keep up the great work!
im sorry , I don't know your name, lets say e6 Vlogs, I wonder if i need to discuss your techniques used in those beautiful shots, its well done said the angles and levels were used, but how to know more ? and more about your used gear (filters). ?
I've a big question, how do you deal with security guards ? I'm french and i've planned to visit london early july, but I've seen some videos on youtube, which show that the security guards are quite aggressive with photographers, maybe even more now with what's happened recently... Thanks for your reply ps: your channel is awesome ;)
gregory buchs Know your rights, be firm but polite. If you are on private ground, then they can stop you taking pictures, but if you are on public pavement, they can't.
Ok i'll do that :) thanks again for the advice All i want, is just not to lose too much time with them or even the policeman's (if they call them...?). if i go to London it's to enjoy, after all
Don't worry about the police, they won't be bothered. They don't even come out if your house has been broken into and the thief took a dump on your living room floor as a parting shot!
Keep 'em coming, really enjoying the Vlogs. I think these could easily be defined as fine art as they're appreciated for their aesthetic as opposed to applied art which must serve a purpose. Fine art in this sense comes from the French "fin" - i.e. art as an end in itself. This is often mistaken for the usual English sense of the word fine, meaning of a very high quality. I think these could be classed as "fine" from any perspective though :D
Thank you for your videos, lots of content...images, information, life, and always humble!
I really enjoy all of your videos but the work you do in the cities is especially enjoyable. It is not only inspirational and educational for me but also fun to see how much these cities have changed since I last saw them 15-20 years ago.
Thankyou James
Totally agree with you about the fine art tag. Another great vlog and look forward to the next one.
Excellent images Craig. Thank you for sharing.
Super B&W images which have given me another thing to try out the next time I'm in London.
Lovely video! I used to go to college at the Elephant and Castle. So much has changed since I left in 98. Subscribed!
Another great video and images Craig. Thanks again.
Lol that door. Just lovely
Great Fotos, great, nice and calm video. Thank you, it is an inspiration.

Great photography! Im often found shooting architecture in my home town of London and thought I'd been everywhere, apparently not!
J'adore, merci du partage.
Excellent. A reminder to always look up (and behind)! Subscribed.
Craig, not only did I enjoy your "still" photos but your video portion is excellent!
I enjoy all your work and videos, architecture is also one of my liking in photography, Thanks.
Always has been my 'go to photographer' for inspiration using good old down to earth creative imagination. A 'happy Craig' makes for a happy Michael : p
Thanks Craig. I really enjoyed that vlog. Lovely images and given me some food for thought on my next London visit.
Another great blog/video inspirational as usual I'm going to use this video to shoot my city Truro
Love the video with some very nice shots. Thanks for posting
Thanks Craig for the recent vlogs from London Edinburgh and Glasgow. I enjoyed some architectural phototgraphy amongst the landscape photography for a change. I thought the black and white shots brought out the moods of the buildings well.

These b&w images are simply amazing.

Great vlog, fantastic pictures
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you.
Many thanks for yet another enjoyable video Craig. Something I always look forward to. Your "no-frills-tell-it-like-it-is" presentation is what I really enjoy. A query though about the camera used as it doesn't appear in your list of gear?
Bob
Bob Clothier thanks Bob. Its the second camera in the list.
OK. Thanks, Craig. Not familiar with that nice Oly gear-I'm with Fuji!.
love this Channel, thank you for share your work.
Love your work, love your videos.
Thanks Craig enjoyed that as ever.
Very enjoyable! One of your best!
Another good vlog - have to agree with you about 'fine art'.
Hi Craig. Really like your style! I'd love to know how you process your images, any chance of a video covering that. I'd be especially interested in your long exposure B&W processing. Many thanks.
Have only discovered your vlogs today and promptly taken out an E6 subscription. Great work and I have a lot of catching up to do.
Cheers Austin. Hope you enjoy your subscription
Really liking the images Craig, great compositions, good to see a bit of home! Thank you.
Great film and really enjoyed it. Maybe try some architecture shots in Edinburgh instead of my usual landscapes. Atb
Great video again, Craig, and some really fantastic shots. Hope it hasn't been too exhausting to move those buildings around ;). Best wishes from Switzerland ... waiting for the next VLog ...

Great vlog, and lovely normal fine art photos ;)
As always very enjoyable video I would like to know a bit about the editing of your images
Thank you
Well done Craig! Regards, Frank.
Incredible work!!!
Excellent! I'd love to shoot London properly!
I'm struck by the beautiful shades light to dark in your images. Well done, sir.
Very inspiring vdo! Now I want to go try shooting Bangkok’s buildings too.
Great shots...
Craig, I really enjoyed this vlog. All of the images are so strong and instantly recognizable despite their abstract nature. Not fine art? Perhaps, but they certainly would not be out of place in a posh, west end gallery.
Loving the look of those black and whites. That's what I'd like to be able to do.
You're master class. Thank you!
I really like to follow you on your photo sessions! And thank you for this fantastic view on London architecture. I love the town as much as you do and definitely found some inspiration in your video for my next trip. :-)

Not sure how I missed your channel. Nicely done Craig. Curious which software you're using in post; if you wouldn't mind sharing..
What are the basics of shooting long exposure shots at daytime and in really high light conditions? I set mine to 30 seconds and point it at anything in the day and I get a white photograph!
You're obviously exposing for too long. Check out some of my other long exposure videos for tips on calculating exposure times.
As usual, captivating music, comments & photographs.
There is a kind of addiction following your videos :)
My wife is constantly saying we should register for a walk ...
Admirators from Brussels
Cheers Jeremie. Yes, you really should get over here for a London walk!
...wonderful work, Craig. I am inspired by your work with the micro four thirds format. I really must try harder with my OMD EM 1 mk2!
Thanks Craig.
I've just spent most of this evening watching your video's! I've learned some stuff. I've had a lot of new artistic ideas watching your video's BUT most of all... I've enjoyed watching your video's!! Thank you Craig :-)
Great demonstration again. Thank you for this. Do you do some afterwork with tons of layers in Photoshop or Lightroom? Kind regards Marcel

You can easily go off a person you know! Second point- been there, done it, shot a video (available via e6 Subscription however)
Oh great - I hadn't seen a video by you from there - is it in with all your other RUclips videos?
Great video. I'll be visiting London (from Australia) next year and would like to visit many of the locations in your video. Can I expect to be hassled by security?

The Seven5 system does have adapter rings up to 72mm, so the system should be ideal for your kit
Wonderful results and fun tour. I'm looking forward to exploring your other vids. What microphone do you use? It is visibly windy but your audio is remarkably clear.
Thanks Rick. It's a Rode Smartlav+ Lav Mic.
Great images Craig! did you go the lengths and use selections/masks for processing?
I enjoy the dialog even more Craig it is entertaining. By the way London seems to be quite busy constructing upward, is there still land left for an outward expansion?
Cheers.
No, the only way is up!
Great, as ever.
Love your work, as a wedding tog you have really got me interested in having a go at landscape. What bag are you using in this vlog?
Thanks Peter. Lowepro Messenger. A fantastic cheap bag.
I'm surprised your channel isn't more well known. Amazing content!
Thank you Orange. I quite agree, let's start a petition, we need to spread the word!
Can i ask you how comfortable you are blowing the images up from these MFT cameras? What is the largest wall print you have done?
Very comfortable. Enlarges to 30x20 no problem.
Hi, you picture are amazing. I have 1Mk2, how do you deal with all the noise coming in on long exposure ?
Great use of ND filters+ high quality of composition 👍🏾
Looks like the cranes are for the Thames Tideway Tunnel
Beautiful images, Craig! I'm wondering, with this kind of shots, do you expose for the sky or the building? Thanks in advance!
Expose for the building, grad for the sky
What makes something fine art?
Thank you - Great!
Hi, what time of the day were you shooting? There doesn't seem to be too many people about considering its London.
I had the streets specially cleared for me Paul. Perks of being a RUclipsr!!
Superb
Fantastic!!!
Well done Craig, excellent images which you are the master. More images like these and you could compile a book of London. I do have question for you: With so different aperture settings and big stopper and little stopper. How do YOU arrive at the correct exposure ???
I either use an app to calculate the time or use the Live Bulb feature on the OMD to watch the exposure 'develop' on-screen.
That 'develop' mode on the OMD is pretty amazing. Wish my G85 had it! ... Been watching your videos. Already 3 videos in and I've learned a ton. Subscribed! Keep up the great work!
Awesome images . Thumbs up and subscribed .
Good man!
Magnificent!!!

That's where my e6 Subscription comes in. Loads of articles on all aspects of landscape photography technique. Oh and Craig by the way!
Nice to meet you over here Craig, Subscribed already, and i'm watching your great work. thanks.
I've a big question, how do you deal with security guards ?
