In my book e6 Vlogs are the most interesting of all the UK you tube photography vloggers. There's an absence of the "intrepid long suffering for my art pioneer" attitude that characterises some of the more narcissistic vloggers, the subjects are nearly always interesting, and they are always inspirational. And I'm not related to the vlogger.
I totally agree wth Tony Green, Craig seems to have a way that's easy to connect with which shows in the vlogs, keep up the great work, really liked the Cambridge vlog,
sean freeman I agree also, one of the best things about Craig's vlogs are he takes a good number of images, unlike some RUclips photographers, who agonize over perfection and take maybe only two or three shots on a whole shoot! Here you get a good selection rather than some vlogger saying "this isn't working for me today" and get one shot over two days.
I'm always amazed at the wonderful compositions your photographer's eye finds in the most mundane locations. It makes me wonder how many good photos I've passed running after that one great photo. Keep up the good work.
Cambridge is one of my favourite places to walk around with my camera, and I never fail to come away without any keepers. I lived and worked there for a few years, and always look forward to visiting the place, and I always try to find some new angle or detail to shoot. Great video as always.
Thank you so much for the channel. All the videos are very inspiring both from artistic and technical point of view. Really enjoy learning by watching your channel! :-)
Simply superb Craig, it's great to see you continue to get lovely images when many of us would have retired to the coffee shop. You make it seem so simple!
Great idea. I’m planning a day with same primes and my EM-10 my ii. I don’t have a beautiful city nearby (central Ontario, Canada in winter) but I’m going to see what I come up with. Thanks.
Your video inspired me to go to Edinburgh today and shoot wide open, it was quite refreshing to just have to aperture at its widest and work with that.
And another great video of Yours. Love Your compositions , everything's there, leading lines, negative space, rule of thirds... very impressive. Natural born photographer ! Some of the " rainy " shots reminded my strongly of pictures of Saul Leiter and Fred Herzog. Simply Wow ! Glad I found Your channel !
Only just found this one, Craig. Truly inspirational. Unfortunately I don't have an f1.8 lens but I'll certainly be trying to emulate your shots with what I have.
Really enjoy your laid back way of presentation. You seem like you are having fun with your photography. I have enjoyed them so much that I picked up a used EM - Mark l to try to inspire me to have fun again
Another great video - appreciate the time and effort you put it creating these, as well as the insights you provide while making them - all of these videos have helped make me a better photographer!
Man, I love this tutorial. I too enjoy shooting wide open, after all, what good is an f1.4,1.8, or f2.8 lens if you can't enjoy it at its best. This video contains so many wonderful ideas for practically any city at F....wide open. Thank you!
Great pictures. I start to shoot on M4/3 for about 3 days and i searching some lenses for my new body ( Olympus M10 II). For start i look at 17mm and 45mm olympus. I think this are very great lenses.
I do a lot of portraits wide open mainly with a 50mm but sometimes I really love how my 300mm blows out and compresses the background for portraits In woodland when shot wide open might be f5.6 but at 300mm the dof is so small
It should be mentioned that f1.8 for micro 4/3 is equivalent to f3.6 in depth of field for 35mm lenses. Nice video. I enjoy great fast lenses for my Olympus too.
Just found you, great stuff. I was born in Reading UK, if you ever get there would be great, I'm in the U.S. now 7 years, will welcome you if you'd like to visit. free stay for you sir! i'm not far from Bushkill Falls in PA
Interesting to see you shooting handheld, I'm more used to see you use the tripod. It seems you are using the back screen far more often as the viewfinder!
Craig, I love your stills and videos! Very inspiring for a photographer about to venture into Landscape. Question where do you get your music from or do you ask the owner for permission? Looking to join one of your courses very soon... Thank you again for all your effort in delivery such great tutorials.
Bummer. Don't get me wrong-it's great~! (But I was hoping to be able to evaluate the 17 against the 25 against the 45 ... but no labels, hence no comparison.) Love it anyway~!

Love your videos and your images. Very inspiring work. Thank you for sharing.
I really like your style - so calm and patient. And the photos are great as well.
Another great video. Cambridge looks quite charming, I will check it out on my next visit to London.
As usual you highlight what you can do in any place any town and makes the subjects really interesting :)
Love it and picture style, beautiful colour. 👌👍Thank! Craig.

I have recently started following you on RUclips. I thought this video was excellent. Thanks for making and sharing you work.
Always in Cambridge as near to where I live BUT never looked at the smaller detail like this, may have to give it a go too
i love it craig. great shoots and you personality is great. like when you talk about photography
Great video. I live on the outskirts of Cambridge so I`m going to try your ideas over the coming weeks.

Excellent, challenging, thought provoking with some really simple but appealing images. Made even better with bit of Erykah.Badu. Thanks.

SUPERB.
Ta, DAVE
Fantastic video. You are definitely one of the best vloggers on photography. I discovered you just in time!
Don't know how I missed this one? I thought that I'd seen all of them but didn't disappoint 👌
Thank goodness for that!

Thank you Martin, glad you like them and have found them so useful
So much talent. I really struggle with the small detail shots.
Some great ideas....nice one!
Great video and photos.
Recently subscribed and inspired. Was almost getting stuck in an F9 rut!

Happy I found your channel. Really inspiring :) Looking forward to more vids. Subscribed! Thank you.
Stimulating, interesting and enjoyable jaunt around Cambridge...
Great idea and a lot of really nice pics... Cheers from Berlin
Great. I know that place well - you got some good shots.
A lot of great shots there, Craig. The lights at night would be nice for those bokeh balls too.
I've a quite similar idea to go with my new 16 mm 1.4 from Sigma through Cologne and of course also often with maximum aperture.
Great pictures. I start to shoot on M4/3 for about 3 days and i searching some lenses for my new body ( Olympus M10 II). For start i look at 17mm and 45mm olympus. I think this are very great lenses.
excellent vid, i prefer your street to landscape work. Your relaxed style makes me want go and shoot street.
The best thing I have done this year is get a subscription for myself and my friend ;) We both love your videos Craig. All the best.
Cheers
Jim
Thank you Jim
Nice video and some great shots... I don't shoot wide often enough.
I do a lot of portraits wide open mainly with a 50mm but sometimes I really love how my 300mm blows out and compresses the background for portraits In woodland when shot wide open might be f5.6 but at 300mm the dof is so small
Thanks Craig love your videos. Keep 'em coming! Any of your travels to Ireland or other travel spots?
It should be mentioned that f1.8 for micro 4/3 is equivalent to f3.6 in depth of field for 35mm lenses. Nice video. I enjoy great fast lenses for my Olympus too.
Really like to watch your video...
Good stuff. I don't think i've seen a shot of yours that I didn't like & you talk differently than other photography channels.
You have an impressive eye for colors and shapes. Was this all one day? So many keepers.
Well, half a day really!
Congratulation for your video, very nice!!!
Just found you, great stuff. I was born in Reading UK, if you ever get there would be great, I'm in the U.S. now 7 years, will welcome you if you'd like to visit. free stay for you sir! i'm not far from Bushkill Falls in PA
Great pics. . And you wasnt using a £2k nikon body. .
Olympus pen looks perfect for daytripping
Interesting to see you shooting handheld, I'm more used to see you use the tripod. It seems you are using the back screen far more often as the viewfinder!
Clicks [LIKE], runs out of house with camera. Thanks!
Craig, I love your stills and videos! Very inspiring for a photographer about to venture into Landscape. Question where do you get your music from or do you ask the owner for permission? Looking to join one of your courses very soon... Thank you again for all your effort in delivery such great tutorials.
Nigel Skates Music is either from free RUclips Audio website or from Soundcloud. Yes, i usually drop an email to get permission first.
Nice Vlog. What it the music and song?
It depends. Some lenses can be a bit too soft wide open.
Vintage manual lenses can have some very creative out focus backgrounds .
That rain and umbrella factor....reminds of olympus om1d waterproof....puts canon, nikon to shame,,,oh even pentax does that..
I generally use f1.8 - 5.6 for street photography
Question: what umbrella do you rely on during your photography sessions? :)
A working one!
Bummer. Don't get me wrong-it's great~! (But I was hoping to be able to evaluate the 17 against the 25 against the 45 ... but no labels, hence no comparison.) Love it anyway~!
And I've gone for the 25mm (right or wrong ...)
02:13 circle, triangle, square
Aww.. I wish you'd let the audio play out at the end.
very interesting pictures.....the music is quite annoying
For out of focus backgrounds (bokeh) this seems not to be the right format IMHO :)
Agreed, but with good technique, choice of lens etc, it doesn't do too bad I think.
This "bokeh" trend needs to die. It's a cheap, superficial novelty.
Almost every shot here would have looked better at F5.6
