In this video I cover the Black Empire as explained in World of Warcraft: Chronicle Volume 1. Going through the arrival of the Old Gods from the void lords and their battle with the native elementals. After that I cover the discovery of Azeroth by the titans and their crusade against the Black Empire. Lastly I cover the fall of the black empire, the imprisonment of the old gods, elemental lords and their servants.

Old gods, black empire and the void lords are my favourite things about WoW... hope expansion after Legion will be more of that.

Dimitris Tzennetoglou Well, more like to destroy all worlds entirely, undoing existence with the hope to take down any and all uncorrupted titan world souls as well. It appears Sargeras desires a reset of the world/universe, hoping that the next one might be free of corruption entirely.

Dimitris Tzennetoglou Thanks. Still I think Sargeras plan is flawed, though. If he believes creation can happen again, then I can't see why he wouldn't let the void lords win and simply wait for the next universe to protect. Instead he wants to destroy it first, so they can't have it, which might motivate the void lords even more to get their hands on the next one as well. In any way, as mere mortals our heroes can't let either side win. I'm curious where this is going, a bit of cosmic horror won't hurt... :D

+gavin higgins Because it was lost on the Legion's homeworld, He jumped through the portal, it closed behind him. It's millions of trillions of lightyears away, the portal only being made possible by the WELL OF ETERNITY, so unless you've got a spare on ain't going to happen! Just my two cents on Blizz's reasoning. Maybe it'll give you some insight.
Brad Maxwell well on the unfair part, lore wise its kinda balanced since warriors in the rp aren't really anything special, like warlocks in combat would destroy them. But yeah I suppose its a little to great of a weapon.
Actually the axe was found and given to Thrall who later gave it to Broxigars niece Thura. Check source wow.gamepedia.com/Axe_of_Cenarius

As clearly stated in this video, Aman'thul only had to reach into Azeroth and simply pull him out to kill Y'Shaarj, the strongest of the Old Gods ( again, stated in this video) so doesn't this mean Sargeras, who is confirmed to be the most powerful of all titans ( being able to single handedly kill the entire pantheon), would be able to easily fight the Old Gods ? Doesn't this mean that The Legion would easily be able to wipe out Azeroth's Old God infestation ?
aamir8719 he did not fear the old gods . according to the wow chronicles which i read at my house . he feared the plans of the Void Lord to Corrupt a Titan World Soul .
Perhaps he has gotten out of shape with time. But in any case he should be much more powerful than the Old Gods.
so now we know: The titans are stronger then The old gods.

There's just this legendary war. Y'Shaarj is like pfft you can't win then a titan just comes down form the heavens and rips him out of the earth like it's nothing.
I'd love to know about the timeline of the upcoming warcraft movie. No spoilers (or maybe at least a warning), but more what has led up to the story of the movie.... if that makes any sense?
+TheCommentAcc It's the beginning of the first orc invasion of Azeroth. However the universe is an alternate one, but not in the sense of Warlords of Draenor but more of them taking that part of the story and doing whatever they want with it. There will be a prequel book that's going to be released before the movie .

+DCrofter I don't believe we know what is going on right now. But as we learned from the book he was imprisoned somewhere between Uldaman and the Well of Eternity. I also believe that his prison was damaged with the Sundering which might mean that he is free or still in the process of freeing himself.

So, what about the guys in Uldum - Rajh, Isiset, etc.? Are those guys not actually proper Titan keepers, or were they just not doing much at the time?
+Enthused Norseman A lot of the titan creations were created by the Keepers to help them, although some are the first generation of titan-forged. However the Keepers as few as they are, are unique and are the leaders in the absence of the Pantheon.

What's the point of imprisoning the Old Gods underground when underground is where they need to be to corrupt Azeroth? Shouldn't they rather try to force them above ground?

Hello, i have a serious question about the lore that i have never found an answer to it, and i think you're the right person to ask. Who am i in the lore ? i mean, the guy who saved the world so many times, aquiered a whole set of legendary weapons, defeated legendary foes.. the ultimate weapon of Wrynn/Vol'jin and named general of his armies .. I ve just never met anything like the 'mysterious hero saviour of the world' anywhere in the lore of WoW.. who is the character we play that the world is centered on, yet never mentioned anywhere ?

+Cristian Cure Vale of Eternal Blossoms is where the Keeper Freya created one of the enclaves of nature. From it some of the Wild Gods emerged. It is also a place where the power of the Well of Eternity coalesced which is why it was so potent. I explained a part of it in the first part of the summary of Chronicle.
Doron, who do you think is the most evil being currently in the game that can be killed? Ignore the difficulty because of the expansions and go purely off of lore. I will find said being and slay them for Azeroth lol.

funny i still find mistakes in your videos. The Aesir and vanir are the titans not the titan forged. Aesir consist of a platinm like metal while vanir are bronze. The titanforged are made of iron or stone.
Do you think that we defeat Sargeras by Azeroth's world soul awakening and killing Sargeras with us?

the void lords see the greatest threat. the old gods are minor threats
+ghost59able Also many worlds are infested by them. The stakes got way higher. Sargeras wants to smash anything, since a universe without life is better than a universe controlled by the Void Lords from his perspective. Life might begin anew. The Void Lords want to controll everything and consume the physical world. And yet, there our heroes are, puny mortals who want to break out of this circle of destruction. Sounds like we have still so very much to do.
Streifi but old gods can be destroyed so easily by a Titan. They don't stand a chance against the titans
ghost59able The thing is, there aren't many left. The Pantheon is gone. There is Sargeras and also Azeroth plus who knows how many world souls are left. Also, if the Pantheon was still there they wouldn't want to crush the old gods like they did with Y'Shaarj. Y'Shaarj teached them a lesson how not to vanquish old gods, since they can cause massive damage to the world and the titans didn't want to damage the worlds they were trying to protect.

ghost59able The titans had lots and lots of failsafe systems, yes, constellar like Algalon in Ulduar for example, but they were not perfect. In the end many things went not as planned, just look at Sargeras backstory. Sargeras and the old gods are mortal enemies and our heroes are trapped in between. And even if the legion and the old gods in Azeroth can be beaten, there are so many more and then there are their masters, the void lords. I'm not sure if they even can be beaten now.

So according to the Lore my under level 20 Warlock controls a Voidlord whom is an entity more powerful then the Old Gods. Thats it nerf warlocks nerf them to the ground in fact nerf them below ground like negative numbers im done im jumping and you cant stop me

I thought the Old gods and the Void Lords were unconnected? Is it now saying that the Old gods the DEFACTO most powerful things on Azeroth are just children compared to the Void Lords who we have killed several without much challenge?
+max grenier Yes pretty much. Old Gods are just tools of the Void Lords in order to corrupt nascent world souls and turn them into weapons of their own. Plus much like the titan-forged are the hands of the Pantheon the Old Gods are the hands of the Void Lords as it is really hard for them to manifest in the material plane.

+max grenier We haven't met any true void lords in game yet, just lesser void creatures incorrectly referred to as "void lords". Within the lore itself, almost nobody knows that proper void lords exist.
Still. Old Versions of the Gods were much better.

I was fine that *Sargeras* fell into despair due to the demonic *Eredar* and *Nathrezim*, and that he abandoned the *Pantheon* due to coming to believe that the titan's vision of an ordered universe was pointless that chaos and depravity were the only absolutes but nope *Blizzard* decide to screw it and make that Sargeras fell into despair because the *Void Lords* and the risk of the *Old Gods* infecting a nascent *world-soul*. They just ruin for me because, Sargeras original backstory was more sympathy and more tragic and that make him a more interesting character.
But Blizzard and their fanatic for *Lovecraft* blind them and now we have Void Lord that are pointless villains like the Old Gods. Why Blizzard need the Void Lord? To explain the origin of the Old Gods? Well it would be more better that the Old Gods are a combination of all the evil and chaos that was created during the *Elemental Lords War* and after the *Titan Keepers* banished the Elemental Lords to a planar prison of their own, now known as the *Elemental Plane*, the keepers build templets to contain all the evils but they fail and all the evils accumulation in one place give birth tot he Old Gods. But Blazzard decide that the Od Gods are a creation from another eldritch abomination.

I don't think the lore is optimal as it is, but this new motivation for Sargeras makes much more sense than the old one. The old motivation just sounds like a tired cliche. It doesn't explain his motivation at all beyond shrugging ones shoulders and assuming he went mad somehow. As for the Old Gods, I think it would be ok if they were just native animals. In any case, them being weapons of the Void Lords is a hundred times better than them being "a combination of all the evil and chaos that was created during the Elemental Lords War" which again makes absolutely no sense; just handwaving the origin in the most insulting way.
