Has anyone noticed that the Burning Legion is seen or mentioned in every Expansion? They were the main Enemy in Burning Crusade. They attacked Undercity in Wrath Of The Lich King. They were in multiple Dungeons and Raids in Cataclysm. They were Mentioned by Lorewalker Cho in Mists Of Pandaria. They were in the Hellfire Citadel Raid in Warlords Of Draenor. And they are the main enemy again in Legion.
VeylmanTheRock I don't speaking who is powerful but who has the better story and lore, and either way we do not know how powerful the Voidlord are since Chronicle states that the Voidlords envious of the titans' power. But the Voidlord are pointless villains, I mean we already have the Legion as major villains that was build since the early day of Warcraft while the Old Gods and the Voidords are just *Giant Space Flea from Nowhere* that came out of nowhere with no relevance whatsoever to the actual plot. I like the Legion as the true major villains of Warcraft series because they are responsible for many tragic stories on *Azeroth* including the *First, Second*, and *Third War* and our victories against them always come with a terrible cost. As for the *Old Gods*, Blizzard tried very hard to push them to be the "new biggest villains" in Warcraft Trilogy, but they weren't able to present as major threats like the *Legion, Deathwing, Lich King* and *Garrosh*. Since the Old Gods rarely appear and every stories about them come out as "BRAINWASHING" or pure fanatic that was very lame and the Old gods are handle poorly as villains. So if we need to compare between which major villains, I choice Deathwing, Legion, Lich King and Garrosh as better major villains while the Old Gods are decent villains not bad but decent.
linkzellda Deathwing is actually the Old Gods servant. Cataclysm is basically the expansion that they take a more predominant seat in as Deathwing, Twilight Hammer Cult and the Elements are all under their control making them the Greater Scope Villain. The next expansion also deals with servants of them and the manifestations of a dead Old God. The Old Gods are seaking their freedom because they still have a mission to do and they can't while chained up.
Only the demonhunters have an immortal demon soul, (just the players, very few others have it as well). All the other playable races and classes do not it is just a game play mechanic.
gameplay wise everyone is super OP but lorewise only one shaman inherits doomhammer, one paladin for the ashebringer and one for each of the other legendary artifact weapons. so i'd say our characters are as powerful as really powerful lore characters lorewise gameplay wise we'd still need a raid group to kill a raid boss up until the next expansion that is.
It depends on where they are going with Illidan. I pretty much assume either he returns to lead the assault on the Burning Legion in the twisting nether. Or, considering that the future army of the light is still led by Anduin, I think his role is likely more intertwined with the Titan Azeroth. As I see her as the only way to stop Sargeras (or even get him to see sense) and focus on the void lords.
Kil'Jaeden is my favorite character of all time. Doronsmovies' thank you for answering the lore questions that I really wanted answered. Makes warcraft so much better.
The Void Lords are working against Sargeras as well, since his intention is to essentially undo all their work. I think we will see them as allies in this expansion, for the time being anyway.
funny how even though this invasion is supposed to be a big deal, there are few signs of it happening on azeroth aside from a few green patches of dirt around the broken isles
that's really really hard to do especially with a theme park MMO like WoW. i mean can u imagine having new players or new toons having to deal with the legion invasion at lvl 1 with a wooden sword? they wont be able to kill all the highlvl legion invaders
That's what the Legion pre-patch event was all about, running around Azeroth fighting the legion in westfall, the barrens, hillsbrad, et cetera. Also during some of the class hall quests you see invasions elsewhere, for example in the monk class quests you have to fight Legion attacks in pandaria.

I would love to know even more details specifically how powerful they are, i have read on the wiki, but i feel like you always make it more in detail. So how powerful is the dreadlords? (maybe go in detail about Tichondrius, Balnazzar, Mephistroth or other important characters)
The Naaru aren't the good guys, they're void anomalies, basically albino void lords, and void lords are what created the Old Gods. The Naaru want us to collect the Pillars of Creation, to supposedly close the main Legion portal in the Tomb of Sargeras. There are 5 Pillars, and there are also 5 Old Gods, except Y'Shaarj is technically dead but his heart still remains. There is a popular theory, which I agree with, is that the Pillars of Creation will unlock the prison holding the Old Gods.
This certainly accords with what we learned this week from Il'gynoth especially about the pillars of creation unleashing the old gods: "Five keys to open our way. Five torches to light our path.", "The King of Diamonds has been made pawn." Is magni being fooled by an old god? He is the one that sent us to fetch the pillars anyway. "The boy-king serves at the master's table. Three lies he will offer you." obviously referring to Anduin, is he already a servant of the old gods or is he "serving" unknowingly, and what lies? "Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it." This is either Jaina (an actual crater) or Sylvanas (an emotional crater). "The lord of ravens will turn the key." Speculation says this is about Medivh and Karazahn. Anyway, it's almost certain that we will awaken the old gods when we close the portal with the pillars.
Thing is, even if Sargeras and the Burning Legion is defeated then don't the heroes of Azeroth also need to beat the Old Gods and Void Lords afterwards as well? They got this ;)

This begs the question, why Sargeras didn't travel to the twisting nether and battled the demons there. Azeroth only recently discovered that a demon has to be killed in the Twisting Nether, but Sargeras must have known for quite a long time.
A few errors in this video. For example. the demons didn't have access to fel energy till it was granted to them by Sargeras, yes? From what I understand, this is how he is able to obtain control over all of his armies - the temptation of this power. Not just grunts like Gul'dan.
No not at all. Chronicle clearly states that they wielded fel magic before Sargeras even began hunting demons. The reason why he was able to control the armies is because he knew of a true way to destroy them in the Twisting Nether and was so powerful that demons wouldn't even dream of betraying him.
Nope, the Fel was not created by Sargeras he was actually turned into his demonic form by releasing the demons from Mardum. This spat billions upon billions of barrels full of fel on him.
Here's the thing: 1. Demon hunters are partly demon, so just like demons, the don't die. Their souls go to the twisting nether. 2. Adventurers, which is the lore's name for players ALSO can't die. Our souls also go to the twisting nether only to be retrieved later.
From what I've seen only certain demon hunters have their souls in the Twisting Nether, not all of them. Also the player part is just an in-game mechanic, if the game was strictly about the lore many would permanently die.
We are rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things. In lore it's not us who defeat the big baddies it's the hero's. For example, at ICC Tirion defeated the Lich king and we were just along for the ride. Just like Thrall defeated Deathwing.

the old gods were sent into the universe by the void lords to try and find and corrupt a world soul, that could be used to destroy everything as the void beings cannot manifest themselves in the physical realm.

Azeroth is not the last world standing. The amount of worlds is without number but the Legion would eventually destroy them all. Azeroth is that one defiant world that just won't break though.
The Demons are each separate races that have been incorporated into the Legion following the conquering of their worlds. They are not the same race. @1:16
Perhaps you misspoke, but I don't believe Sargeras ever feared the void lords, just what they could do with Azeroth since he could not directly harm them. The void lords were originally jealous of the Titans' power, which is why they made old gods to corrupt new titans...so they could have that power since their own corruption couldn't touch the titans. It stands to reason that Sargeras is the most powerful being ever, given all this (until Azeroth awakens).
Great video Doron, just one knit picky thing. Ado is actually spelled adieu. I saw this on the last video and thought it might've been a typo, but if it isn't I just wanted to point it out. Again it's knit picky but it's there.

For the end scenario I would think when we return home, all the planet is corrupted with N'Zoth and the full glory of void lords maybe? Also I don't think that we will ever face Sargeares in a combat.

My assumption is that Azeroth will awaken as a new titan and shit stomp Sargeras with the help of the world's most powerful heroes, then after Sargeras is destroyed Azeroth will take up his old duty of killing the demons and eventually maybe even the void lords.
@rpground I had assumed that the titan would simply form from the world soul, leaving the actual planet intact. Not sure if I'm correct in thinking this or not.
iAmHypnautical Well...then it would be kinda pointless to destroy the planets in this case if the soul is the only thing that forms the titan. The way they've treated it is that the planet is the titan's body while at the center is the soul. If the soul can just form into a titan, what is the point of the planet?
Well Sargaris is a titan and has had a few physical avatars so a titan soul at the center of a planet could just make an avatar to do shit. But this also would mean to kill Sargaris we would need to find his planet and soul and destroy those. So many in the next xpac wow will transition into a space ship mmo since the Burning Legion already have space ship looking things that teleport (FTL jump) around. But then there might be some legal issues with Warhammer 40k then, lol.
Nope if we look where the wow lore is going with all that shit that demons aren't actualy evil that the void lords and old gods corupted Sargeras that they are the pure evil...etc with the Holy Dreadlord quest and all that shit. I think that Blizzard will make Burning Legion good guys at the end they will throw their fel coruption and take the arcane becoming holy demons/angels like that holy dreadlord in legion and then unite with us heroes of Azeroth in the war against void lords cuz only with all on our side we may stand a chance to defeat invincible(void lords) There is a lot of reasons for that not only wow lore is going that way from the new expansion but wow is becoming boring they need to add new races new world new classes etc.. But since the game will end cuz after fighting the Void lords and defeating evil there would not be much else to do they will make the Legion good guys first then azeroth will split into two factions like horde and aliance cuz one will still hate the burning legion for all they done others will understand that they need em' to win against old gods and we will have few expansions just with those 2 factions trying to unite then the threat of the void lords and old gods will be so huge that they will unite and they will destroy void lords but until then they will have atleast 10 years of wow lore... Also that storyline has so much potential it's won't be excepted from the players for the lore to go that way which will make it fun second u can go so many ways with that storyline u can kill sargeraras but make his demons good u can make a half of burning legion good and other half with sargeras still evil but those good would helps us defeat the bad guys there are countless things u can do with that storyline also that storyline will change gameplay alot add so many things new factions new races new classes new worlds... Also Blizzard makes it's lore that way from the start first more then 20 years ago we had some bad guys and after sometime we would find out they are not acctualy bad and so on to this day. Warcraft 1 orce are the bad guys Warcraft 2 nope they are not, Warcraft 3 the Undead are the bad guys then Legion comes nope they are not and same will be with the Buring Legion...The only reason why we were stuck with Burning Legion as the bad guys to this day is that they needed time to develop the lore of the Void lords and old gods also to make some money of the game by doing so. That's a type of succesfull story like Game of Thrones with that shit the Dragons are coming... They will not be here any time soon... *BUT* they are coming same will be with void lords and until they come in the one of expansions so many things can happen with storyline above.
Hello. What prevents Void Lords from accessing to the Twisting Nether and wiping out the Legion and Sargeras along with it ? Since the Twisting Nether is not exactly the physical dimension, i don't understand why Void Lords don't just get there and end their enemies.. ?
Legion, as I feared, failed to make me feel as though Azeroth is in any real danger of being destroyed. During the pre-event, it actually felt as though we were being overwhelmed. Post launch? Hope you love elves, vrykul and tauren because the Legion feel like a fringe threat/puppeteers hanging in the back, causing so much less damage than they did during the War of the Ancients.
Personally I feel like this expansion is really making me feel like there is a threat. The thing is we are being invaded but this isn't the real invasion. The reason you feel like they are just puppeteers is because at this stage they are. The Legion is trying to set the ground and prepare for the main force to push through and possibly summon Sargeras.
I was under the impression that Demons were different races corrupted by the fel and other Demons? instead of one species with different lesser and greater Demons etc like you suggested
They are many different races. Sargeras (Only member of the Legion who is a Titan) Kil'jaeden and Archimonde (Eredar) Annihilan (Pit-Lords) Nathrezim (Dreadlords) Etc Etc Etc down to Imps and such.
So how do races that originated in the Great Dark Beyond gain the traits of the races born of the Twisting Nether? EG, the Eredar seem to now be able to be reborn within the Nether when killed in the Great Dark Beyond, or at least that is shown in the cases of extremely powerful Eredar such as Archimonde.

I like it. Good stuff. The Burning Legion is immensely powerful. Imagine all the forces of pure Chaos forcibly lorded over by a God. This is the Burning Legion. To end its threat, Sargeras would have to be stopped. Lord Illidan knows the way.
He is helping the death knights quite a lot, what more could he do from up there? he doesn't seem to have as much direct control over the scourge as the last one did (might be from lack of experience?).
Stefan Zaric well, reforging Frostmourne and going into rampage with the full might of the Scourge behind his back to hunt down and imprison dreadlords to torrment.

Huge fan, enjoy all your content. A question hangs in my mind... If someone like Sylvanas were to raise Tirion as undead, could he weild the light? Could Bolvar do it? I know Arthas liked raising paladiins as death knights, but I believe this was simply because they were more fit to counter paladins (i.e. DK quest "Battle for Light's Hope Chapel")... Or would undead simply be incapable of weilding the light in any reasonable , meaningful manner? Thanks.
forsaken priests can wield light but paladins use it more frequently and it damages them so they probaly wouldnt survive long as pala cant remember where i got the information from tho i think it was a forsaken lore vid or priest
What if Bolvar is gonna help? We got Bolvar and Illidan, brain and strike force. Not to mention the alliance and horde leaders.. I think this will be a great expansion... Just my opinion
If demons can be killed inside the twisting nether, why was Sargeras (fighting them in the twisting nether) finding that he was fighting the same demons over and over. Why did he need to create Mardum, if he could simply kill the demons? Am I not getting this, or does this make no sense?

The newly introduced race Aranasi is an example of one of the races twisted after the Legion conquered their world. Keep in mind we haven't seen all the demons out there. Blizzard in the new expansion introduced some and they are bound to add more if the future expansions include the Burning Legion.
Eredar are twisted races aswell though, Kil'jaeden and Archimonde were given powers after they decided to join the Legion... Sooo.... and, Saegeras knew of Azeroth before Slaying the other titans (The Pantheon) As the Pantheon gave a small amount of their powers to the Wardens (Deathwing/Neltharion - Alextraza and so on)
If we can only barely stand a chance to fight the Legion, what chance would we have against void lords? I may be mistaken but when a titan awakens, doesn't the planet break open like a coccoon? If so, then our best chance of fighting the void lords rests in either the legion or the awakening of Azeroth. At this point, the legion may be in the right in this war.
I like how Doron said the legion is having an all out assault. That must be why I am killing so many naga, harpy and satyr. Not like I was expecting to fight a massive army of demons in a demon invasion. Maybe is just me and finding the burning legion to be a joke. As you know I kill more non demons in a demon invasion then I am killing demons.
Yeah, right? They should leave the invasions thing during the expansion... At least then people would still be able to feel the Legion is actually invading. But it's a game, and because of this, it has limitations, so there is no way to put an actual invasion 24/7 going on. It would be neat, though.

So, like I said, this is because of a video game's limitations. You can't just cram a flippin' trilion mobs in one area. Almost no computer nor the servers would be able to handle this amount of data to process. I agree that they should try to give a better impression of an invasion, like what was happening in the pre-legion event or have more areas infested with demons, something like that. But anyway, the Broken Isles aren't a Demon territory, it's just the place where the Pillars of Creation supposedly are. That's why ee are going there, not to kill demons... At least not as the main objective haha. And yes, I do think that there should be more demons there trying to secure those Pillars, since they have the power to stop them but... Maybe they don't know of their existance or their location? I dunno, maybe they do, knowing they are masters in espionage and manipulation...
TheGordonFryman I know that but I am talking about like WoD Where almost everywhere you went in WoD You where dealing with the Iron Horde. In the start of WoD I felt like I was defending the world from the iron horde. The Tomb of Sargeras is the main portal where the legion forces is coming from. Yet you can walk up to the entrance of the Tomb of Sargeras and there like 50 - 100 raid boss level demons on the area. You can right now go and walk to the front door of the final raid and the legion is not a major threat there. Yes their are raid boss level demons there but they are so spread apart you can run past 90% of them. I understand people got burned out on the orc expansion before legion but I am feeling blizzard knee jerked to hard and now there not enough demon in a demon expansion. That all I was trying to say. I feel for an expansion about demons there just to few in the place.

Corrupted eredar were technically turned into demons. Everyone that is turned into a demon is bound to the Twisting Nether. Even some demon hunters who are partly demon have their souls there.
Clearly the Legion isn't much if they can't even take over Azeroth. Titans can cleave a world in two, but Sargeras is taking his sweet time with his bitches.
We aren't fighting the Legions full force. Not even by a longshot. The only thing standing between us and a second burning crusade is the Army of Light, and that's not going to well.

He did not kill the Titants, he made them so weak they retreated into the bodies of the Titant Keepers on Azeroth, and he didn't imprison all demons... but most which is why when he released them he got a face full of fel.
it just dosent makes sense that a orc with a wooden axe could slaughter so many demons he angers sargaras himself and at the very least mounds him when the SAME dumb ass demon god killed the whole pantheon, the whole thing is just frustrating

I like the Legion as the true major villains of Warcraft series because they are responsible for many tragic stories on *Azeroth* including the *First, Second*, and *Third War* and our victories against them always come with a terrible cost. As for the *Old Gods*, Blizzard tried very hard to push them to be the "new biggest villains" in Warcraft Trilogy, but they weren't able to present as major threats like the *Legion, Deathwing, Lich King* and *Garrosh*.
Since the Old Gods rarely appear and every stories about them come out as "BRAINWASHING" or pure fanatic that was very lame and the Old gods are handle poorly as villains. So if we need to compare between which major villains, I choice Deathwing, Legion, Lich King and Garrosh as better major villains while the Old Gods are decent villains not bad but decent.

Deathwing is actually the Old Gods servant. Cataclysm is basically the expansion that they take a more predominant seat in as Deathwing, Twilight Hammer Cult and the Elements are all under their control making them the Greater Scope Villain. The next expansion also deals with servants of them and the manifestations of a dead Old God.
The Old Gods are seaking their freedom because they still have a mission to do and they can't while chained up.

How powerfull are Our characters? since we all have an immortal demon soul and stuff
Only the demonhunters have an immortal demon soul, (just the players, very few others have it as well). All the other playable races and classes do not it is just a game play mechanic.
We are all per say the same character "the champion", and he/she has effective defeated every threat so far, so i would say quite powerful.
lorewise death does not want us just yet.
gameplay wise everyone is super OP but lorewise only one shaman inherits doomhammer, one paladin for the ashebringer and one for each of the other legendary artifact weapons. so i'd say our characters are as powerful as really powerful lore characters lorewise gameplay wise we'd still need a raid group to kill a raid boss up until the next expansion that is.

It depends on where they are going with Illidan. I pretty much assume either he returns to lead the assault on the Burning Legion in the twisting nether. Or, considering that the future army of the light is still led by Anduin, I think his role is likely more intertwined with the Titan Azeroth. As I see her as the only way to stop Sargeras (or even get him to see sense) and focus on the void lords.

The Void Lords are working against Sargeras as well, since his intention is to essentially undo all their work. I think we will see them as allies in this expansion, for the time being anyway.

funny how even though this invasion is supposed to be a big deal, there are few signs of it happening on azeroth aside from a few green patches of dirt around the broken isles
at least cata caused a lasting change in the world, legion isn't going to have any noticeable impact on anything
that's really really hard to do especially with a theme park MMO like WoW. i mean can u imagine having new players or new toons having to deal with the legion invasion at lvl 1 with a wooden sword? they wont be able to kill all the highlvl legion invaders

That's what the Legion pre-patch event was all about, running around Azeroth fighting the legion in westfall, the barrens, hillsbrad, et cetera. Also during some of the class hall quests you see invasions elsewhere, for example in the monk class quests you have to fight Legion attacks in pandaria.

The Naaru aren't the good guys, they're void anomalies, basically albino void lords, and void lords are what created the Old Gods. The Naaru want us to collect the Pillars of Creation, to supposedly close the main Legion portal in the Tomb of Sargeras. There are 5 Pillars, and there are also 5 Old Gods, except Y'Shaarj is technically dead but his heart still remains. There is a popular theory, which I agree with, is that the Pillars of Creation will unlock the prison holding the Old Gods.
Is Xal'atath the 5th Old God? Doesn't she say something about the 5th being eaten by the others at the start of the Black Empire?

This certainly accords with what we learned this week from Il'gynoth especially about the pillars of creation unleashing the old gods: "Five keys to open our way. Five torches to light our path.", "The King of Diamonds has been made pawn." Is magni being fooled by an old god? He is the one that sent us to fetch the pillars anyway. "The boy-king serves at the master's table. Three lies he will offer you." obviously referring to Anduin, is he already a servant of the old gods or is he "serving" unknowingly, and what lies? "Her heart is a crater, and we have filled it." This is either Jaina (an actual crater) or Sylvanas (an emotional crater). "The lord of ravens will turn the key." Speculation says this is about Medivh and Karazahn. Anyway, it's almost certain that we will awaken the old gods when we close the portal with the pillars.

No not at all. Chronicle clearly states that they wielded fel magic before Sargeras even began hunting demons. The reason why he was able to control the armies is because he knew of a true way to destroy them in the Twisting Nether and was so powerful that demons wouldn't even dream of betraying him.
Nope, the Fel was not created by Sargeras he was actually turned into his demonic form by releasing the demons from Mardum. This spat billions upon billions of barrels full of fel on him.
Perhaps the wiki page needs an update.

Here's the thing:
1. Demon hunters are partly demon, so just like demons, the don't die. Their souls go to the twisting nether.
2. Adventurers, which is the lore's name for players ALSO can't die. Our souls also go to the twisting nether only to be retrieved later.
From what I've seen only certain demon hunters have their souls in the Twisting Nether, not all of them. Also the player part is just an in-game mechanic, if the game was strictly about the lore many would permanently die.

We are rather insignificant in the grand scheme of things. In lore it's not us who defeat the big baddies it's the hero's. For example, at ICC Tirion defeated the Lich king and we were just along for the ride. Just like Thrall defeated Deathwing.

Azeroth is not the last world standing. The amount of worlds is without number but the Legion would eventually destroy them all. Azeroth is that one defiant world that just won't break though.

Any race can be turned into a demon. However there are races that were originally demon.

Perhaps you misspoke, but I don't believe Sargeras ever feared the void lords, just what they could do with Azeroth since he could not directly harm them. The void lords were originally jealous of the Titans' power, which is why they made old gods to corrupt new titans...so they could have that power since their own corruption couldn't touch the titans. It stands to reason that Sargeras is the most powerful being ever, given all this (until Azeroth awakens).

My assumption is that Azeroth will awaken as a new titan and shit stomp Sargeras with the help of the world's most powerful heroes, then after Sargeras is destroyed Azeroth will take up his old duty of killing the demons and eventually maybe even the void lords.

@rpground I had assumed that the titan would simply form from the world soul, leaving the actual planet intact. Not sure if I'm correct in thinking this or not.

Well...then it would be kinda pointless to destroy the planets in this case if the soul is the only thing that forms the titan. The way they've treated it is that the planet is the titan's body while at the center is the soul.

Well Sargaris is a titan and has had a few physical avatars so a titan soul at the center of a planet could just make an avatar to do shit. But this also would mean to kill Sargaris we would need to find his planet and soul and destroy those. So many in the next xpac wow will transition into a space ship mmo since the Burning Legion already have space ship looking things that teleport (FTL jump) around. But then there might be some legal issues with Warhammer 40k then, lol.
Nope if we look where the wow lore is going with all that shit that demons aren't actualy evil that the void lords and old gods corupted Sargeras that they are the pure evil...etc with the Holy Dreadlord quest and all that shit. I think that Blizzard will make Burning Legion good guys at the end they will throw their fel coruption and take the arcane becoming holy demons/angels like that holy dreadlord in legion and then unite with us heroes of Azeroth in the war against void lords cuz only with all on our side we may stand a chance to defeat invincible(void lords) There is a lot of reasons for that not only wow lore is going that way from the new expansion but wow is becoming boring they need to add new races new world new classes etc.. But since the game will end cuz after fighting the Void lords and defeating evil there would not be much else to do they will make the Legion good guys first then azeroth will split into two factions like horde and aliance cuz one will still hate the burning legion for all they done others will understand that they need em' to win against old gods and we will have few expansions just with those 2 factions trying to unite then the threat of the void lords and old gods will be so huge that they will unite and they will destroy void lords but until then they will have atleast 10 years of wow lore... Also that storyline has so much potential it's won't be excepted from the players for the lore to go that way which will make it fun second u can go so many ways with that storyline u can kill sargeraras but make his demons good u can make a half of burning legion good and other half with sargeras still evil but those good would helps us defeat the bad guys there are countless things u can do with that storyline also that storyline will change gameplay alot add so many things new factions new races new classes new worlds... Also Blizzard makes it's lore that way from the start first more then 20 years ago we had some bad guys and after sometime we would find out they are not acctualy bad and so on to this day. Warcraft 1 orce are the bad guys Warcraft 2 nope they are not, Warcraft 3 the Undead are the bad guys then Legion comes nope they are not and same will be with the Buring Legion...The only reason why we were stuck with Burning Legion as the bad guys to this day is that they needed time to develop the lore of the Void lords and old gods also to make some money of the game by doing so. That's a type of succesfull story like Game of Thrones with that shit the Dragons are coming... They will not be here any time soon... *BUT* they are coming same will be with void lords and until they come in the one of expansions so many things can happen with storyline above.

What prevents Void Lords from accessing to the Twisting Nether and wiping out the Legion and Sargeras along with it ? Since the Twisting Nether is not exactly the physical dimension, i don't understand why Void Lords don't just get there and end their enemies.. ?

Legion, as I feared, failed to make me feel as though Azeroth is in any real danger of being destroyed. During the pre-event, it actually felt as though we were being overwhelmed.
Post launch? Hope you love elves, vrykul and tauren because the Legion feel like a fringe threat/puppeteers hanging in the back, causing so much less damage than they did during the War of the Ancients.
Personally I feel like this expansion is really making me feel like there is a threat. The thing is we are being invaded but this isn't the real invasion. The reason you feel like they are just puppeteers is because at this stage they are. The Legion is trying to set the ground and prepare for the main force to push through and possibly summon Sargeras.

So how do races that originated in the Great Dark Beyond gain the traits of the races born of the Twisting Nether? EG, the Eredar seem to now be able to be reborn within the Nether when killed in the Great Dark Beyond, or at least that is shown in the cases of extremely powerful Eredar such as Archimonde.
Archie and Kil' are exceptions, being Sargeras' main underlings.

The worgen were cursed by the schyte of elune, it isnt a curse targeted toward them its just that the used power that they cant control.

Even though Sargeras is evil and corrupt he indeed is a powerful titan who can be of a useful service in defeating the Black Empire.
I wouldn't be surprised if the titan inside of Azeroth is our character. it would be pretty cool being thr strongest being in the universe and be the one chance we have of destroying the void lords along with the burning legion

There a bigger story to it. If you want to learn more check out my Chronicle book summary. I tried to keep the backstory part short as I have talked about the same story many times, in order to not repeat myself too much.
I know about the fleshed out story but it still feels like he gives up hope too easily and too soon and goes to extreme measures after seeing just one of his brethren get corrupted by the old gods

Huge fan, enjoy all your content. A question hangs in my mind... If someone like Sylvanas were to raise Tirion as undead, could he weild the light? Could Bolvar do it? I know Arthas liked raising paladiins as death knights, but I believe this was simply because they were more fit to counter paladins (i.e. DK quest "Battle for Light's Hope Chapel")... Or would undead simply be incapable of weilding the light in any reasonable , meaningful manner? Thanks.
forsaken priests can wield light but paladins use it more frequently and it damages them so they probaly wouldnt survive long as pala cant remember where i got the information from tho i think it was a forsaken lore vid or priest

If demons can be killed inside the twisting nether, why was Sargeras (fighting them in the twisting nether) finding that he was fighting the same demons over and over. Why did he need to create Mardum, if he could simply kill the demons?

Not sure what you mean by that. Many other races were added to the Legion in much the same way, defecting to them.
And they just haven't showed up ingame yet? never heard of/seen any.
The newly introduced race Aranasi is an example of one of the races twisted after the Legion conquered their world. Keep in mind we haven't seen all the demons out there. Blizzard in the new expansion introduced some and they are bound to add more if the future expansions include the Burning Legion.

Eredar are twisted races aswell though, Kil'jaeden and Archimonde were given powers after they decided to join the Legion... Sooo.... and, Saegeras knew of Azeroth before Slaying the other titans (The Pantheon) As the Pantheon gave a small amount of their powers to the Wardens (Deathwing/Neltharion - Alextraza and so on)
If we can only barely stand a chance to fight the Legion, what chance would we have against void lords? I may be mistaken but when a titan awakens, doesn't the planet break open like a coccoon? If so, then our best chance of fighting the void lords rests in either the legion or the awakening of Azeroth. At this point, the legion may be in the right in this war.

I like how Doron said the legion is having an all out assault. That must be why I am killing so many naga, harpy and satyr. Not like I was expecting to fight a massive army of demons in a demon invasion. Maybe is just me and finding the burning legion to be a joke. As you know I kill more non demons in a demon invasion then I am killing demons.
Yeah, right? They should leave the invasions thing during the expansion... At least then people would still be able to feel the Legion is actually invading. But it's a game, and because of this, it has limitations, so there is no way to put an actual invasion 24/7 going on. It would be neat, though.
TheGordonFryman I am talking about how an expansion that is all about the burning legion. You know the demon army in the trillions if not more. Yet how many demons are in the broken isle? A few thousand? Does not seem like a full on assault.
So, like I said, this is because of a video game's limitations. You can't just cram a flippin' trilion mobs in one area. Almost no computer nor the servers would be able to handle this amount of data to process. I agree that they should try to give a better impression of an invasion, like what was happening in the pre-legion event or have more areas infested with demons, something like that.
But anyway, the Broken Isles aren't a Demon territory, it's just the place where the Pillars of Creation supposedly are. That's why ee are going there, not to kill demons... At least not as the main objective haha. And yes, I do think that there should be more demons there trying to secure those Pillars, since they have the power to stop them but... Maybe they don't know of their existance or their location? I dunno, maybe they do, knowing they are masters in espionage and manipulation...
TheGordonFryman I know that but I am talking about like WoD Where almost everywhere you went in WoD You where dealing with the Iron Horde.
In the start of WoD I felt like I was defending the world from the iron horde. The Tomb of Sargeras is the main portal where the legion forces is coming from. Yet you can walk up to the entrance of the Tomb of Sargeras and there like 50 - 100 raid boss level demons on the area. You can right now go and walk to the front door of the final raid and the legion is not a major threat there. Yes their are raid boss level demons there but they are so spread apart you can run past 90% of them.
I understand people got burned out on the orc expansion before legion but I am feeling blizzard knee jerked to hard and now there not enough demon in a demon expansion.
That all I was trying to say. I feel for an expansion about demons there just to few in the place.

As far as we know Kil'Jaeden took the lead of the main operations. However Sargeras isn't actually in the tomb, only his avatar was buried there.
Are the corrupted Eredar in the burning legion also immortal as the demons themselves?
Corrupted eredar were technically turned into demons. Everyone that is turned into a demon is bound to the Twisting Nether. Even some demon hunters who are partly demon have their souls there.

Clearly the Legion isn't much if they can't even take over Azeroth. Titans can cleave a world in two, but Sargeras is taking his sweet time with his bitches.

Im pretty sure Sargeras didn't kill the other titans ...Nor did he manage to imprison ALL demons ...
He did not kill the Titants, he made them so weak they retreated into the bodies of the Titant Keepers on Azeroth, and he didn't imprison all demons... but most which is why when he released them he got a face full of fel.

it just dosent makes sense that a orc with a wooden axe could slaughter so many demons he angers sargaras himself and at the very least mounds him when the SAME dumb ass demon god killed the whole pantheon, the whole thing is just frustrating
