In this video I review the new Sea-Gull 819.12.6075. This 40mm men's dress watch contains an automatic movement and it's 10mm thick! It's so close to perfect this watch....and it's one of the cheapest automatic dress watches I've owned.

Besides the shortish minute hand as mentioned, the hands and capped center are gorgeous, wonderful font used. Thin case, compact lug to lug, just a classy dial!
Gorgeous dress watch let down by its strap but that's easily rectified. How they've managed to keep it so thin is amazing. Beautifully finished and an absolute steal at that price. Seagull brand is well known so the movement will be good as well. Lack of hacking and no AR is a bit of a let down. Usual excellent review Gary.👍⌚😎

I have a very similar watch that I got around this time last year. Mine has 2, 4, 8, 10 and 12. It's smaller at 38mm and 8mm thick. Manual wind equivalent of this one I'd say. Got it for around 100, great watch.

I got the manual wind one too. Cracking dress watch. Shipped from Europe as well which meant it got to me in a week or so as opposed to the slow boat from china.

Movement is 20 jewels ST1701 (TY2706) and has bi directional winding rotor, decorated.
Great watch with great specs and great price. Minimalistic look, no need to change date if not worn for 2 or more days, a real plus if you rotate watches.

This one would be great at 36mm.
I have the rose gold version with black dial - my particular example has an hour hand misalignment that's noticeable if you look for it. Aside from that, very nicely presented as your macro shots highlight. I've taken to wearing it again, and try not to look too closely at the hour hand - life is short, and it's a relatively cheap watch, so why worry? I suspect that minimalism isn't quite my thing, so this watch was never going to be my absolute favourite - that's not Sea-Gull's fault of course, just me getting to know my own taste in watches.
Great looking time peice but don't forget + 20 Vat. Still decent value.

I have the seagull hand wind - nomos like - where i dislike the fact that the crown is on the smaller size.
The watch is a favorite. It appears the bigger crown on this, but someone thought it was a good idea.

It’s a great looking dress watch. Perfect size for my large wrist. Hard to go wrong with a Sea-Gull at this price point.

Well, I'll give you an update. My watch arrived & you're absolutely right. This watch is a real stunner. Simple & unfussy, I'm really happy with it & would like to thank you for giving me the little persuasion in buying it. 😂 I was looking at some & they're over 3k, so I'm well happy.

It's a nice watch. I'll put it that way. I find the Sea-gulls with the blued hands and the Arabic numerals, the watches homaging a certain brand with N somewhat more exciting. But that's just me.

Does anyone else have this and think the movement sounds loud when on wrist? I have one and it’s very audible when moving the wrist around, wonder if it’s a fault with mine or just the way it is?
Nice watch at a good price, I think I prefer the Merkur 38mm hand winding vintage style watches though.

I remember a few years ago San Martin was around $150.00 and now they have gone up to or almost $400.00 even up to $500.00. I was chasing the White vintage look face gmt when it was around $250 and now it’s almost $400 or more. Unreal!
San Martin is getting too arrogant for their own good. Plus, their logo looks like a 12 year old drew it. I would never pay what they're asking for their watches. I'd take Cronos or Sugess over San Martin all day, every day.
Just goes to show how overpriced San Martins have become. When Seagul, which is a far bigger brand can create a better looking, mechanical watch for cheaper

Hacking isn't so important, is it? I'd just just wait for the seconds hand to reach 12 o'clock to properly align the minutes hand, and set the watch to the previous minute (if it runs fast), or the next minute (if it runs slow). No problem, really.

I have one orient, white dial. Hard to read time, sometimes... Depends on lighting. But i will avoid in future white dial with shiny hands.

It's not an international gesture - some places there's head-bowing, or putting your hand on your heart, or where I'm from there's hitting that like and subscribe button.

Lovely. I wish they made their dress watches with a smaller diameter. That Nomos homage would look great at 35/36, but you can see in the customer pics it's a bit too big on a lot of people.
How in the h*ll are you finding these watches on aliexpress, everytime I do a search I can never find the specific watch or brand I'm looking for. For example, I search San Martin and just get listing for Pagani instead.

It's so funny that someone else is also thinking the same thing about your arm movement in your intros as I am. I hope I don't sound mean saying this but I have to admit that for me it is very annoying to look at and I kind of wish you would stop doing it. It seems like it's something you have started doing fairly recently because I don't recall you doing it in your older videos. I taught an Instructor Training Course years ago and arm and hand gestures were one of the things we tried to address and correct in our students. People have a hard time knowing what to do with them but need to learn how to keep them to a minimum because they can be very distracting to look at.
