    I really appreciate the vids. I have a 2013 F-150 4X4 Crew cab with 55,500 miles, so I am doing some routine maintenance recently myself. Your videos have been great. Also, I live in Monroe, LA and you don't sound like a native South LA coona** to me! Where do you live?

    I would just like to verbalize to always loosen the fill plug first. Make sure you can remove it BEFORE draining the case.

    • @MyTorino

    • @evanlarsen224
      @evanlarsen224 3 года назад

      It depends on what transfer case you have. The Ford F-150 manual list 2 different ones; the ESOF transfer case takes the XL-12 fluid, and the "torque on demand" transfer case takes Mercon LV fluid. He's exactly right at 8:03.

  • @hunteramy9892

    I have a 2010 f150 FX4, and is leaking oil between the transmission and transfer case,it’s leaking where the bolts are, the bolts that are holding together the transmission and transfer case.any suggestion? There is a seal between transmission and transfer case?

    • @MyTorino
      @MyTorino  5 лет назад

      Probably the gasket.

    • @stevealbarran
      @stevealbarran 5 лет назад

      The gasket from rear transmission, Or the gasket between transfer case and transmission?

    • @CarlosRodriguez-hb3vq
      @CarlosRodriguez-hb3vq 3 года назад

      The rear transmission seal or the front transfer case seal. Those are the donut shaped seals that go around the output and input shafts. You’d have to separate the transfer case from the transmission to get to them. I don’t think there’s a gasket between the transmission and transfer case. It would serve no purpose because there is an air space between the two.

    Like these videos. Ford is trying to make it harder for DIY mechanics to work on their vehicles. So they're building fuel filters inside the damn gas tank and other crap. Ford better smarten up. People are already pissed that they donate so much money to Democrats. They keep this up, people will begin buying Dodges or something else.

    • @MyTorino
