I would assume normally bowing is meant to show respect, but being forced to bow, to me, would 1. Demonstrate she is so disrespectful that she needs to be forced to bow (I liken it to a child being forced to apologize) 2. By being forced to bow it shows she isn’t deserving of her rank and everything that comes with it 3.
