Not just that losing Ruyi's heart and faith in him as husband & wife, lovers and Emperor but also many innocent people including his own children were killed because he usurped Ruyi's rightful authority to keep Ling in the harem.
I like how the Empress Dowager addressed Ruyi as Ruyi, her name and not "Empress" That shows how much she respects Ruyi (also because she's the one who gave that name to Ruyi), and she sees her as who she is, not just an Empress. The details in this drama is top notch
In the 84th episode you can also heard Ruyi calling her "Mother" and not "Huang Niang/Royal mother" as she's asking Empress Dowager to protect Yongji. At this point I think both Ruyi and Empress Dowager see each other as family beyond the etiquette. Same thing when Empress Dowager sent Yanwan son's at the Xiefang palace right after she delivered, this proving she's in Ruyi's team.
I watch it all the time too just to see her get what was I think it should have been instant that for her no turning back he let us suffer he. Let her suffer and then give her the antidote and then let us suffer again
She was despicable. Even Jia Fei never begged for her own life, just for her sons. She was selfish. She didn't want to be the best for her kids like others that schemed against Ruyi, but she just wanted the best for herself.
Not just her sons, Jia even threatened to throw herself at a wall just to speak to her servant for the last time. All the other antagonists committed crimes for their loved ones, be it sons, clans, or old love. Only Ling threw away and ruined her loved ones for ambition
That's because she learned all that from the emperor. Being selfish. Always about themselves. Ling is basically emperor's female version. Those 2 are well suited together. Ruyi deserves someone better
Li Chun, the actress playing Wen Yanwan, is really good. She truly developed a character from a lowly servant and an innocent girl to an ultimate villain who at the end thought she had no choice but to become evil in order to survive in the Forbidden City. Masterfully played!
No matter how vile the character of the emperor is here, the acting by Wallace Huo is mag-ni-fi-cent. His stare at 6.49 is so full of pure pain and anger it's so masterfully acted!
He hears about the death of his children and somehow holds his temper. But his anger just boils to the surface when he hears the truth about Ling Yungche.
You should have also went and bowed in front of Ling Yunche's banner, Had that man murdered all because of your insecurities and your trifling a🤬🤬 consort. He was the most loyal guard you had other than Li Yu.
He wasn’t angry that Ling Yungche was held in affection by either women. It was that LingFei was trying to pass off Ling Yungche’s child as his own. All he cared about was himself
@@ajisenramen888 I think it would have hurt him if Ruyi had turned to Ling Yunche in that manner but she didn't. She only seen him as a confident and a person who had saved her life numerous times, so she saw him as a really really good friend nothing more. The emperor was just arrogant and thought that she would never leave him or divorce him.
Title is ‘she defeated her with one ring’. Never underestimated the true power of the One Ring, For One Ring to rule the all! In the end Ling hold it Like My Precious~
Ling before he die told her you don't have love for me returned the ring, but that ring help him to revenge Ruyis and clear her name, shame that at the end of her life she know how is the real love, that help her to see life in the palace ,the king think that people are stupid, when he didn't give the right burial to Ruyis, people was aupset and her people never send another young lady to the palace.
She not only killed innocent people and children For her ambition, she was even willing to harm those who were on her side : her maid Chun Chan who was so loyal to her, her mother, her brother, even Ling Yunche, who was, I think, the only man and person she ever truly loved. And this is precisely why, in the end, none of those people who used to love her at the beginning stood by her in the end
I am more annoyed with her mother haha her mothers case was unplanned though she just has no escape by then and besides her mother didnt care about her at all
Let's not forget that his second wife told him the same thing about himself and she got punished for it let's not forget also that he slapped her hitters three times did she really cut her hair yes she was tired and she said she was tired of being his Empress she was fed up with him there wasn't left nothing left he destroyed everything like he always did but then turn around and hide his hands and say what I didn't know I didn't do this but the whole time he even knew what his Queen did but because of his reputation he was protecting her but he couldn't protect his second wife which was sorry or his own children the very woman he's sleeping with is the one that killed his children slowly but surely and he couldn't even see that because he was too busy trying to believe what that his second wife was cheating on him when he see this woman wasn't even cheating the one was chilling and still doing what she wanted was the one he was sleeping with and made her wife sickening
Then again when u signed up as a concubine this is expected. Honestly China middle era is indeed cruel as they only care for power. Look how many women stoop their pride just to be entitled. So called king
They both lost loved ones through their own actions. Yanwan lost ling yunche and her loyal servants. Qianlong lost shu fei, chunhui huang guifei, ruyi, and everyone else aside from his mother basically. All because they both prefer power/ego
This whole scene was my favorite.. She got exposed and still tried to cry innocent. He should have seen it long time ago. He treated Ruyi and Hailan very poorly. The ones who didn't care for him he treated good
what yanwan says applies from two series. both in yanxi palace and in ruyi loves in the palace : The emperor expects obedience and sincere love from everyone (which is understandable...since since he was born as a prince and since he became emperador he was taught that this was his right by the mere fact of being the dragon) but unfortunately in real life (no matter the time or culture) the human soul is inclined to reciprocity, and the truth is that if you do not give sincere affection, if you do not give affection, it will be difficult for them to give it to you. in both series ulanara ruyi and nara sushen sincerely loved Honli (and this important ,they dont in love the emperor they loved HONGLI ,he liked a man) And although in no case does this oblige hongli to love hers, it should be noted that the emperor paid them in the worst possible way. ironically the worst weakness of a concubine in the forbidden city is to love and care with sincere affection for the emperor since this prevents you from manipulating him... which is sometimes the only way to keep him happy. so consort ling is right, no one has clean hands here, not even the emperor does. The lesson here is simple if you want good, sweet and sincere people to be in your life/harem, you must be one of them. one attracts what is
Ling Yunche may have had feelings for Ruyi but he knew and understood that Ruyi belonged to another man whom he also serves and would never cross that line.
Poor Guard Ling,he is such a tragic character. I think the reason Emperor was so lived & resentful about him is that he knew Ling was there for Ruyi and their son in a way he never was. They had a level of trust, and respect for each other that Ruyi could no longer have with him.
What is silly is... She has gotten away with it for YEARS. Got caught, accused and somehow still managed to make it back into the Emperor's arms because he was stupid.
@@MsAlexM888 Yeah but at what expense? She killed at least 6 of his children And would have killed a 7th if his mother didn't take him into her own palace. He also lost the love of his life, he's lost the respect of his people because he was sleeping with brothel women and and he just looks stupid sitting there realizing that you had been comparing the woman that you claim to love since your youth with a conniving manipulative biatch.
It would have been PRICELESS if Jingsi had found out about this. Cause she backed Yanwan up at key occasions so to learn that she was just a tool to Yanwan's ambitions would be cherry on the top.
@BlackVenus had no powerful people backing her and everything but yet even she had it easier than ruyi when it came to getting away with stuff. Will never understand why he so was so damn harsh on the ones that actually had heart for him but yet let the evil ones get away with stuff and even praise them!
@@feliciamad6284 she somewhat did learn how Wei yanwan is because consort ying made her open her eyes on yanwan’s goal of using her to get the empress’ seat that’s why she had someone watch Wei yanwan when she was with yongyan and how she spoke with him. That’s why she said: ‘they were right all along’ so she realized Ling was never on her side she just was taken advantage of because of her hate for ruyi and those feel were exploited. Ruyi was probably one of the only women if not the only one who truly loved the Emperor, she had no ulterior motive like the others. Yet he was a greedy , awful despicable man who treated her so badly and never truly valued the love she gave him until it was too late. The Empress Dowager knew how loyal She was and how much she genuinely loved him and so did the other women in the harem. He always doubted her and never trusted her and when he knew how very wrong he had been about her he never properly apologised to her so she could never forgive him and her don’t blame her at all. It was heartbreaking to see how he treated her.
don't forget consort shu. she truly loved the emperor but he gave her contraceptives because she worked for the empress dowager, when she actually truly loved him
Yes partly. But it's also a fact that he became lustful as he aged and lost his cleverness. This to the point his first minister Heshen litteraly abused this situation to rule on Qianlong's behalf until Jiaqing emperor ( 15th prince from Qianlong ) took him down. I'll get the sources in case you want know more about it 😉
Al final el emperador no se casó otra vez extraño a ruyi por siempre , pero está escena la lealtad de una amiga hacia la otra y la mejor trama de un imperio me gustó la serie . Consorte Yu se quedó como la emperatriz la más cercana al príncipe
Beautifully acted by each person. You could just see how ill Ruyi was by the blue tone of her lips. Saddest part was seeing all the sutra flags of those Yanwan killed.
Yeah, she was one of the biggest influence and connections to Ling's rise in the harem. She was pretty full of hatred for Ruyi that she didn't even mind ( if she ever knew sooner) how many lives Wei YanWan wasted how evil she is or if she even cared about her siblings that was killed. She's just as horrible as her mother that she decided to help someone vile or let herself be used to the tricks of ling just to appease and 'avenge' her mother as if she was ever good in the first place and as if she valued her the same as a son. I bet she still regretted because she was also the one who took away her sons but hopefully she remains having the biggest guilt and regret because everything is partially her fault lol and she protected Wei so many times, but this scene particularly she should've seen it it would've been gold
Even after seeing the names on all those scripture flags of the people she killed and knowing deep down that she had killed them for power, she could still openly say she was innocent and she didnt do it. It really goes to show how delusional she was and how power can drive 1 person to such a pathetic state. And she could even beg for her life, like did you even give those you kill a chance to beg for their lives and you could even justify kill innocent children to protect yourself ??
I teared up the first time seeing this the music and just counting the fact of all the people consort Ling drove to death. And when ruyi said those lost will never return, she also is referring to in a theorized sense that the happy times will not return either.
This is such a bittersweet moment. It's great to see that this b**** finally gets what she deserves after hurting everybody. But it hurts because the damage to the emperor and Ruyis relationship is already done and not repairable.
The emperor is weak AF! He listen to everyone but Ruyi. He pushed her so far that she lost her love her him and her love for him was the only thing she wanted.
He didn't feel bad after he found out the story about this man in the end he's still accused her of this man when she called him with the prostitutes on the boat he threw that up in her face all the time she was telling him the truth about all he could hear was this man's name and told her and he threw that man's name up in her face and that the best queen that he had was the one that recently passed away but she was evil and he knew what she did but he had to keep his secret because of her his reputation and the family's reputation so he never told her that he found out the truth when he knew all along what would the truth was he just acted like he didn't know what the truth was and try to justify it when he got called on the boat with all the prostitutes this man is heartless and the only woman that care for him from when they were young what's her and somehow he just forgot about it after he started sleeping with all these other women you can't love nobody when you sleeping with other women because when you sleep with other people you become one flesh and even the Bible talks about that you become one flesh you ain't trying to each other you like building to each other this is why some people when they have affairs the other person can't let them go because they have been trying to each other and all the time he was committing adultery every bit of the way of the bit of it he was committing adultery
She swears she didn't murder 5 children. She swears she didn't frame anyone, she's the one being framed. She has had years to master the art of deception using her vast bag of one explanation after another; rapidly firing back with each accusation deflecting and misdirecting the blame of 15 murders. Finally she says she had "... no other way ...". The cruel and heartless Emperor shines, in his ugly way, in his punishment of her. Yes, she is deserving of it, but then he is just as culpable in his despicable nature.
She so many killed children, her own mother, Ruyis mother, A'Rou, and the man who genuinely loved her, just to fail in the end. A swift death would have deffinetly been far too lenient for her.
@@MisaKeiJune Yanwan still worked as a mere palace maid during this time and had better things to worry about. I don't recall how she would set up A'rou, or even work with Jia since Jia tormented and bullied her all the time before she became a concubine

He without sin cast the first stone this is scripture he cast his stones on everybody because he killed for his latest he killed but he's not telling anybody he cost one to not have babies he did a lot of stuff but yet he's putting the finger at her for what she did
I mean the Emperor could've not cared about her in the beginning and avoided all this mess. Can't believe Emperors can take any dirty person into his harem.
Palace maids of that time were considered the Emperor's women until they left the palace, so she actually was already a possibility once she entered the palace as a maid, as seen when Ruyi is promoted to Imperial Noble Consort(Huang Gui Fei) there is a maid gaining a rank
yes, because they both suffered inside the Palace of intrigues and an endless fight, the widow empress is Zhen Huan so they understand each other, because in the end they had to learn to survive and not trust anyone.
Anybody know the name in the flag? Like all of htem? My guess is aside from already mentioned in sub is: - Ling Yunche - Yongjing (Ruyi Last Son, 13th son) - Yongqi (Hailan Son, Fifth Prince) - Jingsi (Ruyi's Daughter, the 5th princess) - Ruyi’s Mother - Madame Wei (Ling’s own mother) - 10th prince (Consort Shu Son) - 6th princess (Concubine Ying Daughter) - Concubine Mei - Consort Shu - Noble Consort Chun - Noble Consort Jia - Yongzhang - Nanny Tian - Physician Qi - Lan Cui
So I guess yanwan got the last laugh because she destroyed Emperor's & Ruyi's dream of wife and husband & will ultimately be alone for the rest of the remaining of her life as well as the emperors.
To be fair, in real life she was buried right next to the emperor with his first empress on his other side. So she probably wasn't this special kind of evil. 😅

That shows how much she respects Ruyi (also because she's the one who gave that name to Ruyi), and she sees her as who she is, not just an Empress.
The details in this drama is top notch
and the fact that she didnt like her at first.
I think its also partly cause she sees Ruyi as her own child at this point, which is quite heartwarming.

@@sen5295 yes ! Do not hesitate to tell me if I'm wrong 😉
I watch this scene over and over and i always tear up when they bring the scripture flags out. So much emotion. Such a well made show.
Tbh the saddest part is that even she knew Ruyi was true to the Emperor and the Emperor after all this time still couldn't see that till this point
I sort of think they will be panicking on how to ignore the dowager in a polite way, since she has gone crazy ...
But it is high drama.
Ikr I cried too
I watch it all the time too just to see her get what was I think it should have been instant that for her no turning back he let us suffer he. Let her suffer and then give her the antidote and then let us suffer again
She was despicable. Even Jia Fei never begged for her own life, just for her sons. She was selfish. She didn't want to be the best for her kids like others that schemed against Ruyi, but she just wanted the best for herself.
Good point..I think it got the point she didn’t know how to solve anything other than with sex or murder
@@Maiko_chan12 nah, she was already like that even before she became a concubine. and i agree, qianlong and ling definitely deserve each other ugh
Li Chun, the actress playing Wen Yanwan, is really good. She truly developed a character from a lowly servant and an innocent girl to an ultimate villain who at the end thought she had no choice but to become evil in order to survive in the Forbidden City. Masterfully played!
Yes!
No matter how vile the character of the emperor is here, the acting by Wallace Huo is mag-ni-fi-cent. His stare at 6.49 is so full of pure pain and anger it's so masterfully acted!
He hears about the death of his children and somehow holds his temper. But his anger just boils to the surface when he hears the truth about Ling Yungche.
yassss
You should have also went and bowed in front of Ling Yunche's banner, Had that man murdered all because of your insecurities and your trifling a🤬🤬 consort. He was the most loyal guard you had other than Li Yu.
@@Phephe00 loveeee dis!!

Best comment ever.
The Precious Ling Yunche 🤣
What Ruyi said is so heartbreaking, justice finally reached Ling but that won't bring all the children and ppl she killed back.
可憐的孩子和人們😢
She not only killed innocent people and children
For her ambition, she was even willing to harm those who were on her side : her maid Chun Chan who was so loyal to her, her mother, her brother, even Ling Yunche, who was, I think, the only man and person she ever truly loved.
And this is precisely why, in the end, none of those people who used to love her at the beginning stood by her in the end
I am more annoyed with her mother haha her mothers case was unplanned though she just has no escape by then and besides her mother didnt care about her at all
And Lanchui, her other maid, she let her died being tortured to keeping her secrets 😏
I LOVE how Yanwan tells him how awful he is right to his face. Perfect✨️
Agree
Yanwan was right in one thing- he wasn't sincere towards anyone in his life therefore he doesn't deserve to be given one
Exactly. Everyone saw how the one truly sincere person in his life and in the entire harem was treated.
Hailan is such a great character and the sister bond she has with ruyi i really would have seen her as the imperial consort
This whole scene was my favorite.. She got exposed and still tried to cry innocent. He should have seen it long time ago. He treated Ruyi and Hailan very poorly. The ones who didn't care for him he treated good
what yanwan says applies from two series. both in yanxi palace and in ruyi loves in the palace :
The emperor expects obedience and sincere love from everyone (which is understandable...since since he was born as a prince and since he became emperador he was taught that this was his right by the mere fact of being the dragon) but unfortunately in real life (no matter the time or culture) the human soul is inclined to reciprocity, and the truth is that if you do not give sincere affection, if you do not give affection, it will be difficult for them to give it to you. in both series ulanara ruyi and nara sushen sincerely loved Honli (and this important ,they dont in love the emperor they loved HONGLI ,he liked a man) And although in no case does this oblige hongli to love hers, it should be noted that the emperor paid them in the worst possible way. ironically the worst weakness of a concubine in the forbidden city is to love and care with sincere affection for the emperor since this prevents you from manipulating him... which is sometimes the only way to keep him happy. so consort ling is right, no one has clean hands here, not even the emperor does.
這段我喜歡令貴妃嗆渣龍的話 旁人都看得出他的自私 就他還對如懿的 心情不以為意
What is silly is... She has gotten away with it for YEARS. Got caught, accused and somehow still managed to make it back into the Emperor's arms because he was stupid.
How? He was poisoning her everyday until he finally killed her.
Like you could see her face when qianlong gave Wei the huan guifei title…she didn’t like that
I have watched this scene probably ten times and I never get tired of it. The evil woman finally gets what she deserves.
I washed a lot time too, only to see the emperador face to find that his beloved is bunch of trash and serial killer like him and his kingdon.
It was heartbreaking to see how he treated her.
don't forget consort shu. she truly loved the emperor but he gave her contraceptives because she worked for the empress dowager, when she actually truly loved him
This scene goes to show how incompetence Qianlong is. The fact that his greediness and lust is all that his reign will known for in reality.
irl his reign is known as the best in qing if I'm not mistaken

One of things I wished happen was the Princess being present and seeing everything unfold.
When I saw all of those flags with the names of everyone she harmed, my heart just broke.

This is one of the most satisfying episode / scene I really like.... Seeing the evil noble consort to be punished
Emperor is responsible for their deaths too he constantly allowed these evil people power gave Jia and Langhua so much power and leeway
Это говорит о том, как не дальновидны мужщины, им нравится когда им льстят. Артисты играют великолепно.
The emperor is weak AF! He listen to everyone but Ruyi. He pushed her so far that she lost her love her him and her love for him was the only thing she wanted.
In the palace, women who want to love all lose to the emperor in the end.
After Ling Yunche story revealed, Qianlong felt he's such a stupid man suspecting Ruyi all this while
Did he? Or did he place all blame on Wei Yanwan and carefully ignore his own culpability?
