The way I imagine she thought she'd one day talk to A'rou towards the end of all things if A'rou hadn't gotten to high and mighty, big for her britches and all that. It was a sweet, tender thing really.
He trusted all the schemers and gave them chance after chance. He betrayed her over and over, but she forgave him until he abandoned her after the still born prince. Then his psychotic suspicion of Ling Yunche, his most loyal guard. He deserves to feel all the guilt he laid on her and then some. In the last scene when he sees her coming to him as he dies, I just hope it's to tell him to go to hell. That she and all those he betrayed: his biological mom, First Prince, etc., are all together and enjoying each other's company.
i hated the emperor character in this drama, how dare he expect after all the things he put her through that she forget all the suffering and move on . In the word full of betrayers and scheming , her husband is the closest person to her after her boy .
