I love the Golden Age stuff. As I get older I appreciate the books that are older than me so much more. Especially when they’re in better shape than me. And thank you for mentioning that it’s ok to get a lesser value book because you actually want to READ IT! So many channels seem to talk about the value a book has. I don’t care. I just want to read the story.

The Death of Captain Marvel graphic novel is a personal standout for me. BWS' run in the Weapon X storyline in Marvel Comics Presents is also an exceptional read. Captain Marvel was one of my favourite heroes growing up and his death was a shock to me, as well as how permanent his death was in the Marvel Universe (given how Thanos and Warlock have been revived so many times). Keep up the great work!

Captain Marvel was one of favorite characters growing up. I got away from comics for about 15 yrs and when I came back this was one of the early books I picked up. It broke my heart when I read it, but remains one book that I always want in the collection.
That being said, I recently picked up another copy and this seems like a good day to re-read that story.

Excellent synopsis of the Death Of Captain Marvel Graphic Novel, it really hits you in the guts.
Dave Stevens was a brilliant artist and writer and we lost him far too young. And you're right, The Rocketeer movie is really fun and true to Stevens' character.

The cover for Ironman feels very pre-code horror with Tony's face and in that, it reminds us of the horror that is alcoholism that I had to unfortunately had to deal with having a father who was an alcoholic so that cover always hits home especially hard for me. There is true beauty in Golden Age comics, there use of color was just magnificent,
That Strange Planets book was beautiful, they were true pirates but they had great comics.
And as usual I have learnt a lot from this show.
