Chris has been my close friend since like 6th grade for me. He's an incredible person. He finds joy and love in all the little things and celebrates everyone for who they are. He is without judgment, always has a good laugh ready, and when you need it, the best hugs ever. He is 1 of a kind and the very best dad ever.
That's the best type of person to be. I admire people like this. There's so much bad stuff in the world. We need a million more people just like him and his girls. He is filled with love and passion I can see it pouring through him. This video brought a smile to my face and tears at the same time. You're lucky to have each other.
He definitely comes across as so sweet, soft spoken and well thought out. I live in England otherwise I would have come to visit you guys! Chris, you're so strong, and i know that's mostly cos you had no other choice... But you're definitely someone to look up to. Being a girl dad I can imagine is rough at times man haha, just from the experience of being a girl! But they both are a credit to you, very sweet girls. Anyway, just had to say something! Sending love and good vibes! 💕
I don't think this dad gives himself enough credit. The fact that he forced himself to get over his insecurities as well as continue to move forward after his wife had left is something many people would have not been able to handle as well as he did. He's still my dad and I love him, but we don't get on, and i don't agree with the way we were brought up either, I was "smacked" as a child but, a lot of that was them taking their anger out on us, instead of it being something we learned from. @@falconheavyraptor Often times when we say "I don't know", it's used more as an expression of our frustration at a situation than actually meaning "I don't know."
You're a man Chris, and your condition is probably the last thing that can take that away from you. Your girls are proof of your strength, courage and honor. You have my respect and admiration. Man to man.
Shame on the mother not pulling together. This man is in fact the better parent. He is what a great father is. He is the peak example. No matter how hard his life is personally he dug deep inside and pulled out the strength to be a Father. God bless him, God bless is soul, God Bless his children. They kids know what love is and see past the small things in their father. They know who he is and that is all that matters. Honor this man, for he is what a man truly is.
"all they have is dad." WHAT a dad they have. I promise you sir, your girls are going to look back on their childhoods and be so damn grateful for such a thoroughly kind, intelligent, supportive human being as their guardian angel. I grew up with one parent, and I wouldn't trade in all the financial struggles and uncertainties in the world for a two parent household with a different family. My mum is my hero and I bet your girls would say the same. As much as your girls may miss her, I think they'll look back on this time and be grateful for your love and the stability you've provided them.
All they have is a dad is no small feat. My father walked out on us. What you’re giving to your girls- the love, dedication, devotion, the sticking around is HUGE
My dad was very verbally abusive and mean. After my mom died he even started laughing at me right in my face. He kicked me out out when I got sick in the middle of winter and I no place to go. I could barely walk and being homeless on the streets in the cold was so dangerous. My mom was a complete angel and loved me so so much. She never yelled at me and always spoiled me. She will always way more than make up for my dad. I've had childhood friends leave me and laugh at me during my most difficult times too. If anyone walks out on you just forget about them the next day. Don't dwell on them-its a waste of time. You'll always have people who will stick by your side for the good times and bad💙💙💙😋
Friends, tell me...does this man not have a wonderfully soothing voice? Imagine an ASMR channel that uses audio of his voice reading you bedtime stories. Wouldn't that be great??
Hey that's a job he could do where no one would stop him because of his hands or how he walks lol. Hes got a strength in the most important part of that.
This Dad's smile is beautiful and his eyes and voice are so kind.... There are plenty of good women who would find those features very appealing and I am praying he meets the right one!
@ Daniel Hemandez.......your comment is the BEST & most TRUE of any statement that I’ve EVER read on RUclips!!!!!! How could you not just immediately fall in love with everything about this sweet & amazing man💜💜💜
My husband of 22 yrs.. together for 26... also cheated and left with his woman because I became chronically ill. He left his 2 beautiful children also. I have struggled also a lot financially and emotionally. Chris, you and I have some things in common! I am donating and pray you are hired and able to prove your talents. Right? That’s what I was thinking. Her loss but how heartbreaking for him and his girls. I hope someone as beautiful inside as they are comes into their lives.
The world would be a better place if more dads were like this guy. His daughters are going to better competitors in society with all the love and adversity they’ve grown up with.
Can't some tech company give this man a chance to prove himself? He says he is very good with computers, and I believe him. Someone please just give him a chance!
Wow! No way! I immediately clicked over when I saw this guy. I went to church with him as a kid, he knew me, my mom and we remember his gorgeous daughters haha. It's SO cool to see him on here, spreading awareness. He's always had such a kind spirit 😊💙
After 2 minutes of watch him and hearing him talk..."for me"..the scars dissapeared..and all I see is a soft spoken..humble man..with the most brilliant smile I have ever seen...When he smiles..it made me smile..every time!!
This is why representation is SO important. The fact that those with differences have to deal with this is angering. Sending this family so much love. You are NOT alone. I know it doesn’t always feel like that.
I could care less about the burns or scarring.. this man is a beautiful person inside and out. I pray for and envision him finding his perfect match and that he’s loved and supported the way he should be. He’s an incredible and inspiring soul in all the ways. I would love to find a guy like him. His seems like a great dad and a beautiful person. A face is just a face everybody has them and they're all different.
@@joeygreathouse3029 is there something wrong with that? I've never used social media to find a date before and I have never found any trouble finding a date. I just haven't met the right person. I used to have Facebook for many years but I'm just over it.
What he said about this social almost expectation that a disabled person will rise like a phoenix and how he felt like he hadn’t done that- first of all like he says the father he is is an absolute triumph- but it’s a toxic expectation. Disabled people are just people. I don’t believe we have to ‘triumph’ or be ‘inspirational’ anymore than someone without a disability. But nonetheless he is an amazing man. He should be so proud of the father he is, the human he is. Everything he has overcome adds to that. You’re amazing Chris ❤️
Exactly. It's a form of toxic positivity, best explained in the book "Bright-sided" by Barbara Ehrenreich. After she was diagnosed with breast cancer she experienced all this pressure to "be positive," see the silver lining, use it as an opportunity to become a better person. It's a really good book. Not every autistic person has to be brilliant, not even depressed person has to be a creative genius, and not every disabled person has to be a super cheerful example of striving in the face of adversity! It's "inspiration p*rn" at its most toxic.
Wow, I can really relate to parts of Chris' story! Due to PTSD and Crohn's disease I went from working as an Advanced Care Paramedic to being on disability, and then some time after that my wife of 15 years left me, leaving me with 50% custody of our 2 boys and nothing but a disability income. That was more than 2 years ago, but the pain of rejection that Chris was describing feels as fresh as if it was yesterday. We're now 11 months into the legal separation/divorce process and I've been fighting to not lose my house, which is taking a huge toll on the mental health. Thanks to all 4 of you for sharing this story, and my best wishes are with Chris, Nevaeh, and Trinity!
Hang in there my friend, & keep fighting for your boys & yourself. I've been there so I understand what you're going through. Try to enlist any type of help whatsoever that you possibly can - legal or otherwise. Sending so much love, hugs & prayers your way. You will prevail! 💜🫂🙏
I'm so sorry you're experiencing this in your life. I do not wish this pain upon anyone at all. Don't give up though, keep fighting! In the end it'll be so worth it and you'll come out stronger than you ever thought possible. I'm here to talk to if you ever need to vent, because I know sometimes you just need to let things out.
Feel the pain. Feel the pain, recognize it, acknowledge it, and then move through it. That's when you'll find the love again. Your love is YOURS! You can give it out, but nobody can take it from you. The love you felt for your partner was real, it was yours, and you can feel it and spread it again. That pain might always be a part of you, but it won't define you. You can define yourself. Focus on your boys, your life, and all that WILL come to pass. Envision it. You're starting another chapter brother! Turn the page!
It must feel so good to get everything off your chest and just talk. He is so well spoken and such a wonderful person. The true definition of a man and a father
@@ChrisTomlinsonlive And you have every reason to be glad! Congrats on your new home and your obvious success so far in raising your daughters. You have a wonderful family! Remember the love that you're capable of. The love you've felt and shared was real, and it's YOURS! You're clearly capable of spreading it. I hope you find someone new worthy of receiving it. You deserve it, whether you choose to pursue it or not. Much love to you and your family.
What a beautiful man. It hurts to feel how lonely he is. I pray that they feel happy and complete and that someday a mama bear comes along to love him and his beautiful babies.
The first thing that caught my attention is his smile 😁, Then as I continued to watch, his daughters had the same smiles. So infectious! He is such a great dad, his daughters so mature. The love they all have for each other, and the joy they spread. What a lovely story, a gem in times like these. Thank you for sharing this, it placed a smile on my face and Joy in my heart! ❤😁

I have to say this was my favorite interview next to beautiful Ruby. His daughters love him so much. And he can’t lose with them. Kids love you unconditionally
I was raised by a single dad too, my mom passed away 15 years ago and my dad never remarried. I can’t imagine how tough it must be to raise children alone, but you seem like you’re doing an amazing job! Your girls obviously love you a lot. I remember my dad struggled with mental health and self image as well for many years. I think he was always so worried my brother and I were missing out on something he couldn’t provide, but we never viewed the situation like that. On days my dad was unmotivated and depressed, we didn’t even notice, we were just thrilled we could sit on the couch and watch movie all day while eating ramen noodles. Your worst days will sometimes be the days your kids remember most fondly. Don’t beat yourself up too hard. You’ll judge yourself harsher than your kids ever will.
This made me so emotional, it’s hard enough for a single dad bringing up daughters but he and they have gone through so much. How could their mother walk out on her kids. I wish him and his daughters all the very best and hope life brings them some good luck and I hope that he finds love again.
The way his face lights up when he talks about the love he feels for his girls is beautiful! They are a beautiful, very beautiful family ….. I strongly believe that he will be blessed with everything he wants . You are doing a amazing job!!! You have a beautiful family .

I could listen to him for HOURS. What an intelligent, well spoken dude.
Idk. I can see past the burns. His fucking smile, man. You can tell he's a sweet human. The way his daughters talk about him, i can tell he's a great guy. I dont know, just really really impressed with him.
Why do you keep saying you don't know then

Hey will you read my description?
@@stephenjones6354 really dude? You’re gonna troll this channel for money? Not cool.
You're a man Chris, and your condition is probably the last thing that can take that away from you. Your girls are proof of your strength, courage and honor. You have my respect and admiration. Man to man.
Aww jeez, what a lovely comment! ♥️
Right on bro 👍
not just a man, THE man!
I couldn't put it better myself.

Even with the scars he's a very handsome man. It's admirable he's raising his daughters. 💖
Well put!

Yes for sure he can do videoes and read story's. Great soothing voice.
Everyone is saying the same thing about his soothing voice. He really should do voice work.

I can't get past the mother walking out on them all. What a super guy, super father. He's doing everything right.
Right? That’s what I was thinking. Her loss but how heartbreaking for him and his girls. I hope someone as beautiful inside as they are comes into their lives.
The world would be a better place if more dads were like this guy. His daughters are going to better competitors in society with all the love and adversity they’ve grown up with.

This is why representation is SO important. The fact that those with differences have to deal with this is angering.

@@WeeHgt I don't have any type of social media but I would love to tell him what I see when I watched the video
@@joeygreathouse3029 is there something wrong with that? I've never used social media to find a date before and I have never found any trouble finding a date. I just haven't met the right person. I used to have Facebook for many years but I'm just over it.
@Lunatic1982 “I want a guy like you…. Just not you.” Lmfaooooooooo
I love his smile...and then his mom was asked, "What do you like most about your son?" She said, "His smile" ❤
What a soothing voice and beautiful smile. You are such a blessing and should be so proud of yourself. There are few men who raise their children
Hang in there Josh. My thoughts are with you.
