Anybody who wants to connect with Liam can do so at instagram.com/lgannon2020/. He didn't have a social media account but I convinced him to start one after we filmed this interview!
She just interprets what and how he says things. ASL has it's own form of inflection so a good translator must communicate that or the translation is not correct
@@nataliehill6406I loved how the sister was open about her struggles with anxiety and ADHD, and her brother was immediately validating of that struggle. And how Mom was so open about her battle and victory over addiction. There’s a special empathy in this family that can be rare to find in people these days. They support and validate each other. He’s a really wonderful person, hey? 🥰
Yes. and at at 8:32 - "And who could blame him for not trusting - it wasn't for him to trust me, it was for me to gain his trust". A lot of respect. I'm glad that they were able to reconnect.
I want to thank you Chris for giving my son this amazing opportunity. This was so incredible for him and us we had an amazing time and we all have still been smiling over this. Spread love and kindness everybody, it heals things.
All the best to you and your family! Your kids are kind-hearted, loving people. It was a pleasure to hear your story. Also, I applaud you for being blunt about your past. All the best and greetings from Poland!
Amy, I admire your strenght. Not easy to recover from an additiction. It is a constant struggle. But you are a great person with two amazing kids. I wish you the best! Thanks for sharing your story with us!
The interpreter they're using is so excellent. The way they pick up on Liam's body language and facial expressions and uses that to give what he's saying inflection and emotion in their voice is really special. I've heard so many interpreters who just give a flat word for word. This person gives liams words so much personality.
I was thinking that!! Like what an incredibly family, and the interpreter relayed Liam’s message with such emotion and expression and used full sentences without sounding choppy. Liam was very articulate and expressive and I appreciated what he had to say, and I very much appreciated how the interpreter voiced it.
Interpreters can actually become the person they're interpreting. Not only can they interpret instantly but talk with 110% emotion that the person is signing in. I've seen this before and it's unbelievable😋
@@amygaouette9667 she‘s so confident, that amazed me. Actually, the whole family did. They all seem so warm-hearted, thoughtful and kind. I loved to see this video and learn about this genetic disorder. I‘m currently learning sign language to be able to communicate with beautiful souls like Liam ♥️ thank you so much for sharing!
These two are intelligent , thoughtful and kind siblings. I’d hire this guy on the spot. He exudes decency, and his determination is obvious. Liam is the strength his family needed. What an amazing individual.
He's a bundle of humour, love, compassion and empathy. What a wonderful young man! His sister is such a sweet young lady. I love the way they support each other. It was such a beauty to watch!
That is a very noble aspiration and I encourage you to start right away. There is no time to lose. What I wouldn't give for one more "I love you" to my brother. Please never leave things for later and don't take your sibling for granted. Lots of love. 💛
I'm speechless. Liam's eyes have so much light and happiness. The way he protects his sister and understands the difficulty of his mum's addiction. I'm so honored to have experienced this insight into their lives and into Liam's prospective. Thank you very much and keep spreading your joy and this strong message of justice and peace! You all will be in my thoughts 💜
This is one of my favorite sbsk episodes. Liam.... You couldn't be more right about ASL, it should 100% be taught in every school in the US. Even just a year or two would give a person a basic starting point for the language, but also a better understanding of the deaf community and their culture. Thank you all for sharing, & thank you Chris for sharing every amazing human you've met with us. 🤟
I agree - every elementary school in the US should teach kids some of the basics of ASL. It can be learned very quickly and it would be so helpful to so many.
One of the things I like about the online school my kids attend is that even in elementary school ASL is offered as an elective. No kid is going to be fluent in it from a semester or two but it's better than nothing. At least learning finger spelling and some basic signs is so useful for bridging the communication gap.
She does a fabulous job of expressing exactly what he wants to say and can read his intent and context flawlessly. They obviously know each other very well.
@@pce9945 I felt like she knew a lot of what he was saying, tho he did mention that he usually talks so maybe his sister is more used to his speaking and needs a little reminder when he’s signing sometimes?? My best guess... 🤷🏻♀️
He is an absolute shining light of a human being. Honest, open, empathetic, and intelligent. I'd live to read the things he's written especially if he ever wrote a book about his life.
For sure it does! But I also like to think of it as the tone of voice, how we all our voices sound different. If you meet enough Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals you will notice variations in how they all sign.
Yes, there are accents and dialects in sign language. Our German one called DGS ( Deutsche Gebärdensprache ) is like proper, clear German. But there are many different dialects in Germany. So are there in German Sign Language. Means it could happen that someone who lives in Munich could have difficulties to understand the sign language of someone who lives in Hamburg. And i´m quite sure its the same story in America.
He would be a wonderful counselor. There’s not enough counselors like him out there and that would make such an impact on society. I’m happy we got to meet him and his family. They’re really unique and beautiful individuals! My sister has twins and I hope they have a profound relationship like they do ❤️
He comes across as a pretty solid guy, he's obviously very smart and capable. I hope he's successful in whatever business he decides to get involved with.

I’m an only child and i’m over here wishing I had a brother like Liam, or a sister like his. They seem so sweet and supportive. Also shout out to Liam’s interpreter who did an amazing job
I think this is my favourite interview of yours, Chris. Liam has so much wisdom and intelligence. Even more than that, I love how compassionate he is. Also, the way he signs makes me think of the way a really confident public speaker would speak. He seems really sure of himself, but I get the feeling that confidence is hard-won. Thanks for reaching out to the channel, Liam. Your insight and compassion is exactly the example the world needs of how to be a decent human. It’s 1am here in Australia as I write this, and I’ve had a difficult day, so I appreciate the food for thought you’ve left me with.
This would be a great interview to share through local events for International Day of Persons with Disabilities. Liam's responses align with the goals set by the United Nations and the whole family has demonstrated that the support of one person has a positive impact. On the next. Kudos to each of you, and, congratulations to the Grandparents and professionals who offer the necessary stability and support to allow it to happen.
Kudos to the interpreter! I loved the expression she puts into what he signed. The family seems great all around, and as someone who works with mothers struggling with substance use disorder, I’m so proud of his mom as well. Overcoming addiction is no joke.
@@calamorta nope, the comments got disabled because RUclips is an awful corporation to begin with. this is a generally a really great community and there arent a lot of negative comments!
Oh man, looking at these comments makes me so proud of this community! Everyone here is so amazing! Liam is also absolutely amazing young man!! Keep being awesome Liam!!!
I actually love the way he signs! As someone part of the HOH community, It’s almost like his signs have their own expressions, don’t know if that makes sense but that’s pretty cool.
Liam, I don't know if you still look at the comments but if you do.... You are so beautiful. I am a psychotherapist and I can read faces and body language. I was literally blown away watching your strength and your character. Your wisdom and your love just shine through you. You have been through so much and to come through the powerful courageous magnificent person you are is amazing. Can you believe you have almost two thousand comments telling you how wonderful you are? Yay, Liam!
I do occasionally come back and read the comments. It has been a few months and I decided to come back today and see if there were any new ones. This one especially caught my eye. I try to express myself in my body movements and facial expressions, as that’s a huge part in Deaf culture and American Sign Language as a whole. To think that this interview came out nearly three years ago… It feels very insane to me. Chris gave me an opportunity that I didn’t even realise would happen. I sent Chris the email, my application, in 2020 - I heard back right after I had my jaw surgery. To see the immense amount of support and love I have gotten from everyone throughout the three years this interview has been out - It has been astonishing. Words cannot begin to describe how grateful I am for everyone’s kinds words. Two thousand comments is nothing to laugh at, and neither is over 375,000 views on this video.
@@liamgannon5774 Dear Liam, you must understand that We are the real patients, the real sufferers. Because We, supposedly "normal" people, need lives like yours to find meaning in ours.😅 Thank you Liam.
That's a very odd statement. It makes very happy to know they are doing well in life regardless of their condition and the world is a better place with them in it, but the world is a beautiful place regardless of the people on it.
This interview was one of the best I’ve seen, and heard! Many dynamics going on within this family; each person has their own struggles, yet all seemed to be combined in its’ own way….. Liam, is a beautiful soul! ASL is a beautiful & creative language. I hope to go back, and continue learning. I truly hope each family member stays strong, and knows there are so many people out here who understand and support you as a whole!
Im from the UK so I learned BSL, but I urge anyone to learn sign language! Its amazing, its super fun too! if you have anxiety or you're a shy person it can really help with being confident socially, as facial expressions are super important in sign language :) do it fir sure!!!!
You don't even have to know much ASL at all to talk to a deaf person. Simply knowing the alphabet is a great start, it may take a while for you to communicate but once you practice a bit you can spell out whatever you're communicating pretty fast.
I love how close Liam and his twin sister are. I’m so glad that she was there for him when he was bullied, nobody deserves to be treated that way. I know the feeling all too well. God bless you Liam. 💙
He seems like such a charismatic, driven, outspoken, big-hearted guy. The openness, love and care within this family is so awesome. Watching this I'm like "this is what life's all about." Thank you for doing this interview!
OMG!!! Liam is the HEART of this family!!! :D He is AMAZING!!!! I actually find him really attractive (but I'm WAY too old for him! haha)... He's got great style, a sense of humor, smarts, he seems like he's really patient, AND he's all about love and kindness! If only EVERY man in the world could possess these qualities! -Then our planet would DEFINITELY be the BEST one in the entire galaxy!!! ;-) lol I thought it was interesting that Liam is so fluent in ASL, but his sister and mom didn't seem to know it very well at all. I wonder if his grandparents can "speak" it? Watching him sign made me wish I could understand and speak it as well! I am legally blind, so I've always figured it would be too challenging to learn... but Liam's positivity about everyone learning it was quite 'intoxicating'! ...Maybe it's time I tried to learn anyway! :D I mean, what's the worst thing that could happen? An aurally-challenged person may tell me to back up a bit, when I'm watching them sign, right 'on top' of them... haha! That certainly wouldn't be the WORST thing I've ever experienced! ;-) Liam- You ROCK!!! I love your positivity and uniqueness! I'm SO GLAD that being bullied didn't crush your spirit... because it's AWESOME, in the truest sense of the word! :-D
It's also great for teaching little ones... many babies can sign long before they can speak. Our littlest doesn't speak much but is great at signing and it's really brought some perspective to me about how expressive sign is, and how much fluency in different ways of communicating can really make a difference.
I was going to take ASL in high school, but since it doesn’t have a written component, it didn’t count for college language requirements. It definitely put a lot of people off from taking the class which is unfortunate.
@@kl6450 maybe it depends on the college but I took it in high school and it definitely counted towards college credit/language . I’ve never heard of that rule , sound pretty silly tbh, especially when asl is also taught in collage as a language.
I think Liam is one of the most inspirational human beings i have ever listened to in my entire life! I cant tell you how moved i was by his story! Wow! Chris you truly are doing a wonderful thing by telling these people's stories! Great job Chris! And Liam you freakin rock!!!!!!!!!! 💙💙
I truly was listening to the story of Liam’s but could not look away from the way he moved his hands. I know that sign language is beautiful by itself but omg. Liam’s hands are the ones of a musician for sure ! I tend to look at arms and palms of people when we first meet! And they usually speak for themselves So just by looking at Liam’s hands I sure can tell you that he is a wonderful human being. Fascinating ✨
Liam, my Mom was a twin, born first. Whenever she would rub it in that she was older my Uncle would say "I was being a gentleman, I let the lady go first" !
Very handy. 😂 That was a good one, Liam! I have ALWAYS wanted to learn ASL. I've picked it up in bits and pieces over the years, but I'm now actively learning online. I completely agree that it should be taught in schools. I would have loved it if ASL had been a language option for me in High School. It sure would have been a lot more useful than French!
Can tell that Liam is not only smart but has a wisdom beyond his years. I imagine he is a wonderful, empathetic friend, I know I’d love to call him a friend of mine. I hope he achieves his goals of working with kids or in a medical setting, I have a feeling he’s made for that! Super cool guy with lovely supportive caring family. I’m happy their family is strong and that their love has helped them all through. 💞💞💞
As a close friend of his, he absolutely is!! He'll send random messages like "HEY HEY YOU!! You're amazing!!" Out of nowhere and it always cheers me up. Hopefully you can be his friend too!!
@@ginger9772 Aw that’s lovely! Great to hear from a “real life” friend that he actually is as nice as he appears in this interview! He seems really level headed and down to earth, as well as kind and thoughtful - i honestly could’ve listened to him for hours as he talks a lot of sense; his open mindedness and compassion are definitely qualities we need more of in the world! You’re lucky to have such a cool friend and you must be pretty cool yourself by the sounds of it! Friendship goals lol. 🙌🏼 Love to you both from the UK 💕
As someone who has been bullied a lot and has been picked on, you have to grow up and mature earlier, you have to grow a thicker skin and that is not easy for kids and the youth. It is hard work and yes, it can cause Depression and Anxiety on the way.
Disability is not in the individual, Disability is caused by a society that cannot provide the conditions every human being needs to become their best self. The love between Liam and his sister is beautiful. They love and support each other and that is the best siblings can do for each other.
I was born with an AVM that caused chronic pain, insomnia, drug issues etc. over the course of my life to this very day. The last few months have been particularly difficult. Without my family and close friends I would have died a thousand times already. Liam and so many others featured on this channel are so important for me (and I'm sure many others) just to be reminded that our struggles may be unique but our capacity for love and self-respect is universal. Thank you Chris, and everyone else in this community.
I had a brain AVM in 1992. During surgery I had a stroke and lost my peripheral vision. I had to relearn how to walk and talk. I get very depressed and have obsessive thoughts and PTSD from it.
@@trash_panda3145 I had a particularly violent seizure during an angiogram once (wide awake) and it made it very difficult for me to allow doctors to work on me since then. I'll spare you the various platitudes that you've probably already heard a million times over but I will say this; You are alive, you have joy to give to others and joy coming to you. The devil has a special hatred for us fighters because we will not give in despite our very real reasons to do just that. This condition is generally invisible and as a result comes with its own set of challenges that very few people are even aware of. Don't shut yourself out from the world, good people will understand.
@@haydeecolon7868 You're not. It may feel like it most of the time but you are not alone. I know this is unsolicited advice to someone I don't know but please try immersing yourself in your hobbies and skills, exercise your body at whatever level of capacity you can, exhaust yourself, stay active. Regimentation has kept me alive and somewhat sane for a long time, give it a try if you haven't already. Peace.
Incredible amounts of respect to the mom for understanding how hard her experiences were on her kids and grasping that she couldn't just walk back into their lives and demand that trust immediately, but rather had to re-earn it. Not only that, but allowing and almost kind of encouraging her kids to speak openly and honestly on the experience here to truly show how hard these situations can be on children despite how difficult it must be on her to hear these things as well. In the brief glimpse into their life we get, I really commend who she seems to be at this stage in her life as it's not an easy journey whatsoever. And obviously tremendous amounts of respect to both kids as well. They seem incredibly mature and strong and genuinely just like great people to be around. Such a motivational family to look up to honestly.
Absolutely. In a sense this video was about three people with different kinds of disabilities. Addiction is an illness, a chronic illness, that is an invisible disability, and ADHD and anxiety are invisible disabilities, and Liam had both visible and invisible disabilities... and in many ways, after I assume a lot of support and proper care, now they seem like they all just have a really grounded perspective and support each other really well.
Hi Liam! I loved learning about your story & your twin sister! I’m a twin, too. I have a twin brother. We are super close and are best friends so I totally understand that twin relationship. It’s so special!

so many things here brough t a tear to my eye, everything from how incredibly smart Liam is to how much he cares for his sister and likewise how much she cares about him, not to mention letting his mother back into his life and she showed that she was going to stay around for the long term. I hope Liam reaches his goal of being able to help other kids, you can just tell that he's such a good soul, as is his sister. Wish more people were like these guys.

I am overwhelmed with your personality and way of thinking, Liam. I wish for you the most incredible life, which I am sure you already have with that amazing sister. Greetings from Spain 💖
Chris, I've been a longtime fan and avid watcher of your videos for a few years now. I really appreciate the transition I've noticed in your videos including more intersectional stories. I am in awe of the strength of this whole family that came back together after the mom became sober.
The story is the person, the family. I would love to hear about the interpreter also. I can’t imagine they don’t grow a connection. She seems like she cares. You hear it in the voice
I find ASL fascinating. It's a language that people don't really think about until their faced with it. My school had ASL classes and I remember they put on this assembly that basically swapped the roles of the deaf and hearing. The deaf kids and kids in the ASL class would act as bankers, food employees, grocery store workers, etc. and the hearing would have to go up and order food or withdrawal money, and it really showed what it's like to live in a world where not many people know your language. I wonder how they do it.
Google Lifeprint. The owner is a CODA (child of deaf adult) & all of my ASL teachers have trusted his website. It's FREE and it's been checked by HS and college teachers. You can watch episodes where he teaches a real person without speaking at all. He also does vocabulary & has free quizzes. Just throwing that out there! I just changed from fast food to retail so I had to learn a couple new words within the past couple weeks. So it's still working for sure
Liam seems like such a funny dude, I would love to be friends with him. I really felt understood when he was talking about bullying because I've been bullied all my life, and it is why I have trauma from my childhood. I wish more people took it seriously and much love and support to Liam! Love from Pakistan 🤍🤍💚💚
It's so incredible to see my friend on your channel!!! He's such a supportive and kind person. He's truly been an awesome person in my life and I'm so happy he's okay with his life and himself now. The comments are also so amazing to read because all the positivity is true and I'm happy this community is so supportive.
So happy the Mom is not ashamed of her addiction. I have been in those shoes myself. And I am so proud to be able to say that I have overcome my addiction. And I have no one to thank for that but my son. He saved me life. Love for your kid(s) is the strongest deterrent from drugs. I wish nothing but the best for this whole beautiful family! ❤❤❤
Liam and twin sister, thank you for sharing. I am an interpreter at a school, I also had a former student with the same disability ( I really thought this video was his.) Again thanks for sharing.
@CodeineCrazy I'm a friend of his. But it's just totally random to suggest that a stranger date another stranger, it would be different if you suggested they be friends
@CodeineCrazy I can understand that you may have meant well:) I think it’s more so that Liam may not want to be tackled by random Internet ladies who only have a parasocial relationship with him and don’t know him for who he is! 😉 he could also be dating someone, or have specific preferences or desires. It’s usually good to try to respect the boundaries of the people we see online 🙃 but nice attempt at wing-manning!
I had a friend who had TCS. He was the kindest sweetheart I have ever met. We met at the hospital. I have NF1 but was hospitalized due to my 18th diagnose (the GBS syndrome) and from the moment we two got connected we were great buddies. But then he went to Heaven in one week and I was all alone again. I was also bullied my whole life, and mobbed at work - the only time I was doing okay was at the University. So I understand how you feel, Liam. You need to be strong for your mom and sister. You have two wonderful ladies in your life and they are happy to have you :) I am so proud of you, Liam. I indeed am :) You are a coll guy and you need to keep it up
I have a 1 year old who is behind in speaking, so he would just scream all the time because he would get frustrated that he couldn't communicate with us. That's how I was introduced to ASL and when we started to see him pick up on it and actually be able to communicate with us I just had such a huge appreciation for the language. It really does need to be taught more. I always feel so cool signing to my son and seeing him sign back 😊 ASL is so wonderful and useful! Everyone should learn at least the basics!
Awww! I really like Liam. He seems so down to Earth and cool. It hurts me that people get bullied just because they are "different.". We need to teach our children to be more accepting and caring. I'm so glad the twins protect each other in this unjust world! ❤️
As a fellow Deaf person in Australia, I definitely agree with everything Liam said here. I would like to thank Liam for sharing his story to the Internet, i love how him and his twin sister has a strong bond and how they stand together against the bullies they faced. That takes a special kind of strength. May God look upon you and your family favourable and Liam will have a bright future ahead of him, I can see that he is smart! Especially with the “handy” part! 😊
I love Liam, and you can tell that he's a smart guy. But not like straight A's smart (although he could be if he wanted to). He's just the kind of smart that's been through a lot and that has had to make it on his own in life. And that's a good kind of knowledge, in my opinion. I also just fell in love with sign language and he might have convinced me to pick it up after years of considering it. Last thing, I promise, but I LOVE the way he looks at his sister and talks about her. He's so thoughtful and caring and it's the sweetest thing ever! Such a genuine guy. We need more people like Liam nowadays.
I cried throughout the whole video. I wish there were more people like Liam and his sister around me. I feel lonely in the world where kindness is 'not in fashion' and is regarded as being weak. Stay strong, beautiful people 😘.
I like ASL a lot. It looks so vivid. And I'd agree that this is besides other languages a very important one. It is great to communicate with an interpreter I suppose but to have an immediate response takes away another barrier. Anyway I believe the audience agree when I say that you seem to have a very kind-hearted spirit and a lot to offer. In this world it is very important to spread love. You do a great job there.
Twins are special, they share the same soul group. The real person is inside the body, it's not the body itself. Thank you Liam for sharing you and your sisters story with the world. I enjoyed meeting you and your family.

That ASL translator just just incredible! So nuanced and expressive, it's amazing. Shout out to her! 💕💕
Yes - I really liked how she put feeling to his words, instead of just repeating what he said in a monotone way. She's a great interpreter.
She does a fabulous job of expressing exactly what he wants to say and can read his intent and context flawlessly. They obviously know each other very well.
But how come his sister doesn't understand ASL? I thought they grew up together.
@@pce9945 I felt like she knew a lot of what he was saying, tho he did mention that he usually talks so maybe his sister is more used to his speaking and needs a little reminder when he’s signing sometimes?? My best guess... 🤷🏻♀️
I thought it was mom and sister taking turns on interpreting what he said?!?!
He is an absolute shining light of a human being. Honest, open, empathetic, and intelligent. I'd live to read the things he's written especially if he ever wrote a book about his life.
Me too. I hope he writes a book also.
And hilarious! What a shining light of humanity ♥️
I don't know if sign language has "accents" but this guy's got a really cool and confident energy about him.
Yes, sign language has accents. 😀
it does :D
For sure it does! But I also like to think of it as the tone of voice, how we all our voices sound different. If you meet enough Deaf or Hard of Hearing individuals you will notice variations in how they all sign.
Yes, there are accents and dialects in sign language. Our German one called DGS ( Deutsche Gebärdensprache ) is like proper, clear German.
But there are many different dialects in Germany. So are there in German Sign Language. Means it could happen that someone who
lives in Munich could have difficulties to understand the sign language of someone who lives in Hamburg.

"Very handy!"
I love it

Best description ever. Liam I’m definitely stealing your joke if I ever get the chance!

@@miilangambino4938 Aw thank you ❤️
I think this is my favourite interview of yours, Chris.
Yes! listening at her made want to take ASL classes. : )
I am a Substance Abuse Counselor and I agree, addiction is a powerful thing to overcome.
The translator really is the best one I've ever heard.
Hi Liam, my 8 yr old son has the same syndrome as you. You guys are amazing!
I am so glad you got the comments turned back on. Now the community can have a much larger voice
I always thought they had been deactivated because of negativity... but I guess youtube thought this was a channel for kids?
Yes, but you will have to be vigilant for the self loathing miscreants who lurk on RUclips comments...

I don't know any sign language but I somehow can tell some of what he's saying before the interpreter verbalizes it.
@@punkivy9776 yes!!! That’s exactly what I mean! It’s amazing!
Yes, it totally makes sense, I feel like I can see his personality in his signs
I'm not part of the Deaf/HoH community but I just commented something similar! It's actually amazing
I suppose it’s the sign language version of having an accent when you speak.
Yay, Liam!
He's damn smart.
It’s a beautiful world because of these people
Couldn’t agree more! ❤️
That's a very odd statement. It makes very happy to know they are doing well in life regardless of their condition and the world is a better place with them in it, but the world is a beautiful place regardless of the people on it.
You are so right!!
Agreed!
Very much so. Liam is such a great guy, and he has a wonderful family. ❤
I truly hope each family member stays strong, and knows there are so many people out here who understand and support you as a whole!
this makes me want to learn ASL, this guy is inspiring.
Im from the UK so I learned BSL, but I urge anyone to learn sign language! Its amazing, its super fun too! if you have anxiety or you're a shy person it can really help with being confident socially, as facial expressions are super important in sign language :) do it fir sure!!!!
I know. I’m gonna try and learn what I can online.
@@georgiad7983 I'm at level 3 BSL! I skso taught myself the ASL alphabet. I would also urge people to learn a level of their native sign language.
I commented elsewhere but Bill Vicar's RUclips channel is a great resource.
This channel is what the world needs. Videos like this break so many barriers. Great work and blessings to the channel.
I totally agree. It has open my eyes in so many ways and have taught me things about other people.
The Mom's ability to face up to herself is incredible. And Liam is so right about kindness and support.
So glad the comments are back so we can share our love and support for everyone
He seems like such a charismatic, driven, outspoken, big-hearted guy. The openness, love and care within this family is so awesome. Watching this I'm like "this is what life's all about." Thank you for doing this interview!
The way he signs, like so bluntly with the little smack at the end, it's almost like I can hear his accent or inflection. It's cute ❤️
Omg I WAS just thinking that exact same thing(but I was having trouble trying to actually put the right words together bc I have hydrocephalus)
I get like a New York or Jersey accent in his sign
-Then our planet would DEFINITELY be the BEST one in the entire galaxy!!! ;-) lol
I thought it was interesting that Liam is so fluent in ASL, but his sister and mom didn't seem to know it very well at all. An aurally-challenged person may tell me to back up a bit, when I'm watching them sign, right 'on top' of them... haha! That certainly wouldn't be the WORST thing I've ever experienced! ;-)
Liam- You ROCK!!! I love your positivity and uniqueness! I'm SO GLAD that being bullied didn't crush your spirit... because it's AWESOME, in the truest sense of the word! :-D
He is so right that sign language needs to be taught in schools. I know several people in my life that use it and wish I knew more. Thank you.
Auslan ( Australian sing language ) is taught in schools here in Australia.

I truly was listening to the story of Liam’s but could not look away from the way he moved his hands. I know that sign language is beautiful by itself but omg. Liam’s hands are the ones of a musician for sure !
I tend to look at arms and palms of people when we first meet! And they usually speak for themselves
So just by looking at Liam’s hands I sure can tell you that he is a wonderful human being. Fascinating ✨

I have ALWAYS wanted to learn ASL. I've picked it up in bits and pieces over the years, but I'm now actively learning online. I completely agree that it should be taught in schools. Best interview, Chris. It tackled so many issues in a beautiful, clear, honest way. Love always, Dan

That was beautifully said. I couldn’t agree more :) 🤘

ASL does need to be taught! I’m learning ASL because inclusivity is important. Even if it’s just the basics so communication can be better
I imagine in the future, it can be implemented as early as kindergarten, along with other languages like Spanish later on

Universal ASL classes would actually be useful, unlike CRT, which is counterproductive IMHO...
Google Lifeprint. The owner is a CODA (child of deaf adult) & all of my ASL teachers have trusted his website. It's FREE and it's been checked by HS and college teachers. @CodeineCrazy why even say that...
@CodeineCrazy "you should try dating him"
@CodeineCrazy I'm a friend of his.
You have two wonderful ladies in your life and they are happy to have you :)
I am so proud of you, Liam. I indeed am :)
You are a coll guy and you need to keep it up
Wonderful relationship those two have.

I think it's street smarts vs book smarts you're on about, but I think he's very coherent considering what is being translated from his signing :)

Excellent that their mom could quit drugs and accept what she did! Excellent that they Liam and his sister have an excellent relationship!! :D
What a loving, intelligent dude! One of my favourite interviews thus far. So insightful and honest!
Twins are special, they share the same soul group. The real person is inside the body, it's not the body itself. Thank you Liam for sharing you and your sisters story with the world. I enjoyed meeting you and your family.
