That bit in the joe Rogan video where Johnny Harris almost falls for Alex Jones is so cringe. Maybe I’m just brain broken and always online but the Alex Jones defamation trial was national news as it was happening, there’s no way Johnny Harris hadn’t heard of it. So either that bit was completely fake that he did for the “storyline” of the video or Johnny Harris is just that much of a terrible journalist
Appeals to authority seem to work on Johnny Harris. So it's not hard to believe he would fall for Alex Jones' crap. Considering how long he was a devout Mormon, like to a weird degree.
to be fair, I don’t think Harris was trying to act like he discovered the defamation suit in the course of research. I think the Alex Jones appearance on JRE made him wonder if maybe there was more to the story… but then thankfully he used his journalism skills to deduce “nope nevermind, Jones IS indeed a liar, I was right the first time.”
It’s still a dimwitted and gormless take to be sure, just maybe a shade or two less egregious.

The Johnny Harris video about Rogan is akin to doing a video about Nixon and completely glossing over Watergate entirely, as if that wasn't a majorly defining moment in that man's corrupt life.

59:43 I unironically got both of my parents, as well as a bunch of my hick-ass farmer conservative lib friends on my three-pitch softball team to start agreeing with socialist principles over the last 3 years. My peers went from "all unions bad" to unironically *telling me* I should try to unionize my 4-member family business (hey, at least they're trying).
A highschool friend that I and another long-time friend had to *beg* to join a great union job, continuously telling him of all the benefits he would have over his (then) current job that threatened to do several illegal things if they even mentioned unionisation on-site, like folding the company lol, was trying to tell me about the benefits of unions two weeks ago, hyping up his legally required paternal-leave. I smile every time, because it's great.
People in the millennial and gen z age brackets are actually primed right now to stand by workers and push for better wages and rights. Even the ones I know that all were championing unions that *are life-time* Canadian Conservative Party voters lmao.
If our centre-left party wasn't so fucking useless, and Canadians didn't have so much internalized racism, I would try to push them towards the NDP at least.

the fact he played into being a FED makes you realize hes not a FED at all hes just a Fanboy FED that is willing to lick the boots of anyone who are willing to listen. when someone turns fed they dont vocalize it they dont want you to know they are fed and cuz the feds mostly make deals with criminals and the feds let them keep doing what they are doing but they have to give them info in return. (its why you see cases of people getting caught with like for instance a oz of blow which will easily get you a 3-5 year sentence minimum then the case is dropped same day)

I was under the assumption everyone admired Johnny Harris for developing a more effective way of cutting propaganda, maybe its just me. I think it would be cool for leftists to try to rip his style for our own agitprop

It's also a good reminder that propaganda isn't necesarily bad. Hasan has admitted many times that what he himself does is propaganda. I think to most people that word is synonymous with misinformation, as if propaganda is inherently deceitful, dishonest, and untrue.

after watching the Act Man video, I'm happy that Hasan is reacting responsibly now, i.e not leaving the video running while he goes to take a pee break or whatever, also, hearing that he had a discussion with the content creator before reacting and setting those boundaries is great too, XQC take notes pls
From what I know, he almost always reaches out ahead of time, if it's something he planned on watching and also sets up the react with an intro like this. Also notice you will find almost 0 "react" videos on Hasan's main RUclips channel. Because he doesn't upload them to RUclips, his actual channel is mostly like news coverage. It's almost only the clips industrial complex (fan channels of which Hasan Reacts is obviously my favorite) that will upload a react video. And the fan channels that are doing it right will also still link the original video, because hassy asks nicely to do so.

He did all that before the latest reactgate. He leaves the video running to go pee or deal with his dog etc if it's a news segment or a friend he knows doesn't mind. He obviously isn’t going to ask everyone he watches for permission - imagine asking Ben Shapiro if it's ok to watch his shit, both sides of the political commentary community have an unspoken agreement that reacting to one another is the game. The only thing he wasn’t doing before that he's started doing is letting the ad on the video he's watching run instead of skipping it.
Johnny Harris’ Borders series was so good with Vox. Such a shame to see him doing stuff like this
