I love my Les Paul Special for its particular tone. I use it quite a bit for melody tracks when recording. I just prefer the humbucker sound for my main rhythm tones, though.
Well, tone is subjective and I like how they sound for what they are. I have enough guitars at this point that I let each guitar have it's own character and sound and just grab a different guitar if I'm looking for something specific for a particular song. 😁
Nicely done. Solid, practical comparison.
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
I used to be a humbucker purist until I got a Firefly with P90’s. I will always have P90’s in my collection for life.

The classic wins. But the faded is a workhorse.
There are definitely things that I prefer about both guitars.
Nice demo. Both sounded good (not great). I’d change out the cap in the Classic and the bridge pickup in the Faded 😃

Gotta say I like the sound of tone breakup and grit of the 2004 better than the 2008, especially in the quieter parts of the progression.
I think they both sound great, but yeah... I prefer the humbucker sound of the 2004 as well. 😁
fuk the asthetics, the faded slayed
Yeah, I love the Faded guitars. No sticky finishes. Just rock and roll machines.
What is that song you're playing? Very cool.
It's a part of a song I wrote a few years ago. All the demo tracks in my videos are pieces that I've written over the years.
@@mikelovesguitars402It's a great jam! Came here to check out the Classic but ended up digging the tune. Great tone too.
@@MHCretin much appreciated!
