Hey thank you for this review. i just bought a used one from Guitar Center. i am getting it on Monday. I also have a Gibson SG '61 Re-issue. I just too the '61 Re-Issue to a tech for a setup. I will let you know my review about the SG Faded. It was made in 2006. Thank you for posting this honest review.
Man, I just tried this one in a local shop. I really liked the neck profile, resonance of the deck and ergonomics, but you’re completely right about setup quality. I felt like I took in my hands a very cheap guitar. Stings are enormously high, scale isn’t correctly tuned, frets are cutting my hand, so yeah not bad guitar but it needs some movements for comfortable playing.
I like the cap and the chain. The thing you played, perhaps it's the guitar, but IT had the aetheric flow - not only I resonated with IT, at least at the begining, but also felt the connection. It's easy usually to cause something like that in an objective manner, but the true art is to resonate with someone's subjective impressions. And that was that.
I really like this guitar!
Sounds raw with power

It’s cheaper cause they put less time in the setup and finnish, but your saving money doing it yourself. I really like the faded Finnish
if you played that on a standard it would sound the same
