Got mine. Love the clean tones with chorus. The dirty channels are super noisy in my rig. Had to put it in my effects loop. Trying to figure out how to squelch the noise.

Man, the input gain sends the pedal into clipping. The sound just seems off…

Thanks for the demo. Colombo has had Rockman clones available (less than the $600 for original Rockmans on reverb) for some time but there are no demos on YT. I've wondered how they compare.

Have the original. Plus the rack mounted unit. Just got this one. Great pedal but it's for chair pickers or studio mostly as you have to bend over on stage for chorus or a settings change. Needs another foot switch. But I'm old so I like simplicity. After 60 yrs of playing you don't bend over !! But a great sounding pedal. I really like it

I bought two of them and love them. I would suggest buying the MXR Split instead of the JHS Red Remote though. I have both and I was hoping to use the JHS. It does work but you have to click it twice for every mode change instead of just once.

I’ll just reinforce how good this pedal sounds (and as I understand it was meant to be run) directly into your fx pedals and audio interface without an amp - don’t judge it solo, just listen to it in a mix. IMHO the lower gain setting sounds great with or without chorus and the lead channel really kind of needs the chorus. This is all early days, of course - rock on!

I thought it actually sounded pretty good as a boost in front of your 800. Distinct Boston-y tone, but I was a fan of Rockman. Had the rack version back in the 80s..

that moment when you pay $200+ for the pedal, plug it in,.... and then realize your old "cheezy" Boss ME-6 or Digitech RP5 can nail the same exact sound as well. the pedal looks cool though...

Great pedal for those instant 80's Boston/Def Leppard tones. I purchased a while back a rival to the original Rockman X100, the Nobels Sound Studio 1; an all metal enclosure version of the Rockman, but sadly had to return it as with some old Rockmans it had become too noisy and unusable over the years as it needed re-capping and components replacing on the internal electronics. When I saw the launch videos for the MXR Rockman X100 videos I was interested again in the sound, but rather than purchase another pedal I had a go at reproducing the sound of the Rockman in my multi effects pedal and within 15 minutes I had re-created all the sounds that the MXR pedal does. And the bonus is you have a delay and or reverb in the signal chain; and also full control of each parameter, chorus, drive ect: in the signal chain. Saved me some money on this one.

I had a stilleto deuce for a month and stupidly traded it for a jcm 2000 (absolute idiot, so embarrassed to admit) back in 2008. Hated the JCM and immediately bought an orange rocker 30 (back when they were quite rare)....anyways stilleto is awesome

Just my 2 cents, I think the Stiletto sounds more like a JCM 800 when it's set to Tight gain.

Then its not a 150 dollar bass

MESA NOMAD is also Hated. I always get the 100 with the 5 band EQ. Those amps are very interactive, and with just slight attenuation of any knob changes the tone structure alot. Lots of Mark tones can be had as well as cleaner Black face tones. Tweaking the controls is very rewarding, and experimenting is never ending LOL. I find that my Nomad sounds better through the Mesa 4 x 12 Recto trad cabinet. A Lot of Hate for the Mesa Nomads, but as you said. Use your ears instead of looking where the pots are set at. The Nomads have 3 independent channels with noticeable different modes to switch on each channel like Raw, and Modern, or Vintage. You can a good one with the much needed foot switch for under a $Grand today. Years ago they were selling in the $600.00 to $700.00 range. I love my Mesa Nomad 100 . Thanks for the great Vid

Man, that thing chirps with the volume and tone pushed! I agree, it’s cool on the Marshall for a little push but got weird on the higher gain stuff.

did you use the stock strings or change them to something else? cause the stock strings are better for playing in C-B standard or Drop A#-A. Using those stock strings to go down to Drop G is like using 9s on a 25.5" scale guitar to reach Drop C. you can do it, but the low string is going to be very tubby. also locking tuners would've been a better call. it's just one of those minor gripes that's no more than a $100 fix
