I had to rewind to Starr & Bart at 6:35 and listen again. One of the most beautiful expressions of appreciation for the spouse who sets aside professional dreams/aspirations in order to support your family. It brought tears to my eyes.
I love this series. It gives you a good compass of how marriages work.
And when somebody sacrifices their dreams and puts their family first its a complete slap in the face and a stab in the back when you're pro athlete husband decides to have affairs

This shows me how different men process situations, what can truly be traumatic for a woman, and water down mistakes, while the women hold in pain. I respect the transparency and openness but it really shows what women have to sacrifice to stay married or “keep” a relationship together. It doesn’t seem fair. 😔 just my opinion.

It was actually sad to hear Bart wax eloquently about the “sacrifice” that Starr made. Men will acknowledge allll that and still don’t treat you right. Too many women do that, choose a man and family above themselves and their dreams. Then after you’ve done all that, these same men will cheat on you, divorce you, or force your hand to divorce them, and what do you have?? Nothing…but a bunch of children. Who can’t make up for the dreams deferred. (They’re just an ok consolation prize if people would just be honest.) many times it’s not feasible, practical to try and fulfill those deferred dreams in your forties plus when this man is gone.
Crazy isn’t? Women endure way too much for what in return 🤦🏽♀️
Crazy how he can say that out loud. With all the money he makes surely there is a way they could both follow their passions and raise a beautiful family. Sad that she cant see how she put her life on the backburner in order for her partner to thrive completely neglecting herself
