Oh my god! That's one of the most incredible particle systems I've ever seen! WOW! I've no words to discribe how amazed I'm. Congratulations. It's fantastic. Thank you for posting.
They all look nice, and are possibly the best simulations I've ever seen on RUclips, you could help us out with a basic tutorial that can get us started on making fascinating stuffs like this and also a tutorial on effect 2 will be fine 😊
GTX 650 lol, I'm sitting at 1050 and complaining that everything takes forever and need RTX to start working.. your video gave me the push to put more effort with current config haha
Art isnt just on a canvas, maybe it lives within an application on your computer, maybe its something you scrapped two months ago. Maybe, just maybe, its in all of us.
I think I've asked this before, but I forgot the response - how would you recreate the simulation at 0:32? Being a much more experienced Blender user, as well as remembering some of the response, I think particle instancing would be involved. I'm more interested in recreating the lightning itself and its repeated bolts around the sphere. Fantastic video as always, and I cant wait to see what you make in the future!
Thank you! You're completely correct. From what I remember, I only made one single lightning bolt and used a Particle Instance modifier on it. To make the lightning bolts appear different, I added some random size and slightly randomized rotation and phase in the particle settings of the large sphere emitting these bolts. The reason why I used a Particle Instance modifier on the lightning bolts, was so that it would be possible for the individual bolts to also emit some particles (the slowly fading orange objects, which I obtained by fracturing a sphere). I hope that was helpful. I apologize for the late response.
These are incredible. When I have been trying similar simulations, blender exports them with full clarity but Premiere ends up making them slightly blurry. I have tried a variety of Premiere export settings with no success. Any suggestions on what export setting you used in Premiere/after effects?
Thank you! I usually use the QuickTime format in AE, with a photo JPG or PNG codec. The files that it exports are pretty big, so I always compress the footage with HandBrake, which is a free application. In HandBrake, I used to use the H.264 codec, but it seems like the H.265 codec is better for RUclips. Also, rendering these in 4K helps too.
@@IagoMotaVFX The H.265 codec is better for everything, not only for RUclips. It offers up to 50% better image quality at the same bandwith. Unless you really need to play these files on an underpowered machine (H.264 is faster to decode but even mobile processors can decode H.265 with no problem whatsoever) there's no reason to ever use H.265.
Hi Iago :) I was wondering what codec and exact video-parameters you used for the final upload to RUclips since the banding and compression look perfect. It would help some people enormously I think. Thanks! ;)
Hello! I usually export the rendered animations as either PNG or EXR sequences. After having them imported either into AE or Blender's video editor, I can export them as MP4 or something along those lines, as long as it doesn't compress the video by much (so that it will maintain a good quality). Now, because of the lack of compression, the video can get super heavy so I use a free application called HandBrake to compress the videos. Since I'll be uploading the video on RUclips, I tend to follow these guidlines for what settings I should use: support.google.com/youtube/answer/1722171?hl=en
I'm from Brazil. I know 3d Max and I want to migrate to the blender because it seems that the functionality and access features of the interface are close to the most used software.
Well, it's not any official song, since I created it solely for the purpose of this video. I haven't published it anywhere else, so sorry about that. I might try to improve it a bit and later publish it somewhere, but I'll need some time.

This is ridiculously good, a brief break down video on the making of this would be great
Thank you! I'll definitely see if I can make a break down video. I might also make some tutorials on particle simulations.
