I have to agree with your ending statement.

I'm glad you never lost your fire and sense of caring. It really is awful to see these trends. Not exactly the same thing, but I'm uber disturbed that people are trying to rewrite Joe McCarthy as a great guy. But this P 2025 bill ... surreal to even look at. I hope we can oppose it.

First of all, I want to apologize for the initial comments I made that you’re responding to in this video. They were far too inflammatory, and I regret not expressing my disagreement in a more constructive way. I do appreciate you taking the time to respond though, and I will try to conduct myself in a more thoughtful way befitting the content of this channel in the future.
Secondly, I’d like to respond to the actual substance of this video. I should start off by saying that there are some things I do find objectionable about Project 2025, namely regarding pornography and abortion. I disagree with the paper’s statement that pornography should be banned, which I find especially hypocritical considering how they claim to want to protect citizen’s First Amendment rights. As for abortion, I believe that the matter should be left to the states like all social issues and oppose it being federally regulated (I know you’re pro-choice and we disagree on this issue).
When it comes to the dismantling of federal agencies, however, I am 100% for that. They are an enemy of the American people and I’m sure that the Founders would’ve found them to be unconstitutional. Really, I think the whole federal leviathan needs to be brought to heel, as it was never meant to grow as unwieldy as it now. That does not, however, mean that I want the president to assume more power than he already has, as I am a libertarian and believe that the office is already more powerful than it was originally intended to be.
I haven’t read the whole paper, and I’m sure there would be other things that I agree or disagree with, but those are the things that stuck out to me the most. I hope that clarifies my position, and once again I apologize for responding the way I initially did.

Why not run for public office?

Recently I saw a political cartoon of a wolf standing in front of a huge crowd of sheep. He said, "If you elect me, I promise to be a vegetarian."

Thanks Jordan for this necessary discussion. I've always felt that the danger of being in office is setting precedents for power grabs that can later be used against one's group. So, for example, if a conservative president has the power to implement everything suggested in Project 2025, they should also fear the possibility that a progressive president after them could easily undo everything or leverage the new powers against conservative interests. To quote Patrick Henry, "Show me that age and country where the rights and liberties of the people were placed on the sole chance of their rulers being good men, without a consequent loss of liberty?" And also JFK, "Those who foolishly sought power by riding the back of the tiger later ended up inside."

For anyone concerned about who runs the country, it ought to be an EMBARRASSMENT having a felon in the White House.

I really like how you stay fairly objective which in this day is rare.
I’m an independent, but agree that people make tons of excuses for Trump.
