@GuitaristNextDoor Love your videos man! Great stuff.
I picked up a JS22 (w/ stock pickups) and an Orange 20RT for $290 on Reverb. I'm thinking of getting a Boss Katana Mini to throw in my backpack when I go over friend's houses and have the Orange for at home.
Would you say this is a solid start for a beginner that wants to play older heavy metal and some hard rock? I heard that when I get better in 6 months to a year I could add a tube screamer to the Orange amp to make even better for metal.

Thank you! Sorry that it took couple days to answer.
I personally like all this gear you mentioned and think that's suitable for metal and work great for a beginner. I have a video where I play Jackson JS22 Dinky through Boss Katana Mini and it's a great pair in my opinion👌
And for sure, play with this gear for 6-18months to get a hang of it and then buy some extra gear if you want👌😎
Thanks for commenting and ask away if you have more questions☺️👍

@@guitaristnextdoor8430 I already saw it! Haha great content. I don't want to get to crazy with gear but I feel like what I ordered will give me plenty of room to figure out what I "need" in the future as I improve.
Keep the videos going, your English is quite good and you have a great way of explaining/showing things for beginners like me. Take care and be well

@Cataclysmic Crypto thank you, I really appreciate you watching my videos and giving nice feedback. I'll try to improve my English every day by watching some speeches and then repeating the sentences.
I think that you are on the right track with the gear, no need to spend a ton, you have a great rig together already👌
      Thank you and be well😊👍

I'm literally about to get both of the same items.
Do you get a good distorted "metal" sound out of the combo?
Or would I wanna get like a Metal zone/metal core boss pedal to go with it?
