Question of the Day: What else would you like to know about the Orange Crush 20 amp? Watch this for a review of both the clean and dirty channels of the Crush 20: ruclips.net/video/0sijCWWEFdQ/видео.html
I recently purchased one of these amps after using Marshalls. What I hear on mine is the same as what I hear during your demo and that is the bit of fuzz bleeding through. I am going to try an OD pedal to see if it cleans up any. Most of the demos of this amp here on RUclips the up-loader has the amp miked...does that make any difference? Thanks
Absolutely not lmao. This may sound ok at low volumes but, for cranking keep everything closer to the middle. I do Bass 6, mids 4.5, treble 6, gain 6 and throw a boost pedal in front. Makes a huge difference and doesn't sound like a fizzy chainsaw
Finally, after several minutes searching, finally I found what I'm looking for. Thank you so much man, I can buy this amp now with total confidence. You have a new subscriber.
I've been using the 20rt with a zoom gu1.2 or something like that, mostly pushing with the processor. Amp for mild gain and mostly volume. Sounds great!
Looking for a quality amp for thrash/old school metal for my grandsons first rig. He's getting good really quick, and he loves slipknot,Pantera,Metallica, Megadeth, and motley Crue. So getting somewhere in the middle of all that is what I'm looking for on a not so big budget. This amp is a very real possibility, sounds great for it's size. Wondering how a good distortion pedal would sound through the clean channel? Thanks for the review.
Possible dumb question here, but is this the Crush 20 or the Crush 20RT? I ask because I'm in the market for an amp, and I was looking at the Crush 20 on my local guitar shop's website, and they list the Crush 20 as well as the Crush 20RT. Their website also lists the only difference as the fact that the Crush 20 has a single channel and the Crush 20RT has 2 channels. In this video, you say you are using just a Crush 20 and that it has 2 channels, a clean and a dirty. Am I missing something here?
@@amcore3629 I have the RT and not much difference between the 2. RT has Reverb and a built in tuner...thats it. Pretty sure the 20 model has 2 channels like the RT.
Yes they do sound different and the reason the humbuckers sound more metal is due to how ubiquitous they are in the genre. You can get fantastic high gain sound with single coils too it's just something were less used to
Did you notice that when you ditch that "low mid" crap that the sound is louder? Check out CS Guitars for his videos on how to "not" get a metal sound.
,I begin..I have a boss metal zone pedal and a DS-1... Can you tell me if I should buy this orange 20 to configure my pedals with it? I have a Schecter PT Diamond guiter...I want a rich sound a low volume I am in appartment... Thanks
It's a basic, bare bones solid state amp. Clean volume, Distortion volume, gain, and a shared EQ between the channels. Best way to clean up some of the sludge is to slap a Tube Screamer type OD in front of it. MXR's 10 band EQ may work too.
It’s the orange sound combined with a 8 inch speaker. It’s not doing modern djent metal it’s more a hard rock or punk rock tone.. actually gets a great punk tone .. it can chug with a pedal bit.. however the 8 inch speaker is the limitation
The combo amp is limited..i am running orange 8inch cab through a katana boss head ..helps with the clarity and reduces muddy sounds ..though agree ..8 inch has less range than bigger speakers but again a good head certainly helps..sometimes a few decibels louder isnt everything
@@_yungfrankz Yes sir thats exactly what it is. I just bought one and noticed that immediately. I am going to drop an OD in front to see if I can clean it up.
U make it sound like ass it sounds like a tiny battery marshall check ola's video and see how it suppose to sound if I go by your video sound I a not buy it and what was metal about that

I was considering Fender champion but I absolutely fell in love with the sound of this amp !

Ordered mine yesterday. Can't wait to play it
What are your other settings set to? I’m a beginner electric guitarist with the same amp!
I picked one up a couple of weeks ago. Great dirty sound. Thanks for the info
Put the mic closer to the edge of the speaker you'll get a more natural sound out of it. I used to mic these orange practice amps for mixes lol
thanks for the demo, now i'm pretty sure i will buy this amp. it's sounds amazing
It is a fantastic little amp! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Great video. Any way you could post what all your settings are set to? Thanks in advance!

This is not the RT. He mentions the RT in the features part of the video at 1:00

Awesome dude!
Thanks bro!
Dumb question but do different guitars affect the sound? If it’s more “metal” sounding with two humbuckers than with just a single coil

Can you make a comparison video between Orange Crush 20 and Joyo DC 30 or thoughts this two Amp.

That’s sounds was awesome!! I’m looking for that sounds
Very cool! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Which Orange amps allow plugging headphones?
What are the best settings on this Amp for a Ramones type sound?

Will it Sabbath?
Fantastic question! I need to check that out! Thank you for watching and commenting!
Sounds kinda muddy.. is this just the 'orange sound' or can you add more clarity, presence, treble etc

Hey would you mind doing a 80s hair metal tone on the fender champion 20
This might be close to what you want: ruclips.net/video/Y8mJ5VsJRN4/видео.html

I have a Champ 20. And I pretty much only play 80's hair metal, what else is worth playing. It does it well. And I dont like Fender's ( usually)

Can you please explain how to get an alt/rock/indie rock tone(The Strokes/Arctic Monkeys)?
trial and error
You look like (Pierre Bouvier) vocalist of Simple Plan
They sound better in person

Trying to get a Nickelback tone, would this work?
Yes! It sounds like shit, just like Nickelback!(:
Its better for hard rock, heavy metal, thrash metal, and both death metal genres (melodic and Normal)
Oh no..not nickleback
Never Mids
Yo nice ibanez
Same as mine lol (colours and everything)
