Also remember, Stone Sour came before Slipknot. If memory serves, the guys in Slipknot, specifically, Paul, Joey, and Shawn, went after Corey with the offer after they parted ways with Anders Colsefni on vocals with Slipknot. Stone Sour began in 1995 if I remember right, without looking things up.

Fun fact, Corey has 2 kids, his son Griffin who he has a relationship with and a daughter that he knew about but didn't have a relationship with. Her favorite song was Bother and had no idea that her dad wrote the song until he reached out and made contact with years later

I completely slept on Slipknot for decades and never heard of Stone Sour until 2 years ago. Found them, fell in love and leaned that they stopped making music. Bummer!
Corey's lyrics have meaning, not only as a vibe, but he has got a more poetry/abstract approach.
Through Glass is obviously one of my favorites. Rose Red Violent Blue has a funny video. Made of Scars is another favorite of mine. Gone Souvereign/Absolute Zero is great, too.

Stone Sour didn't stop making music, they are on break while Slipknot releases new album and tours for awhile. Then they should be back after.
@@j_wide But Corey always concentrated on one of the bands on time and he never announced an "indefinite hiatus" because of it. Sounds to me like they probably won't continue Stone Sour, but wanted to leave the option to do music again, if they ever felt like it. I'd be more than happy, if you were right, though!
@@KrisThroughGlass We don't know exactly unless there is an announcement but I do know Corey gets bored and loves music so I don't see him stopping but jumping from Slipknot to Stone Sour to solo until he is no longer with us

@@j_wide stone sour is done, Corey even said himself in a q&a that stone sour is on indefinite hiatus or something like that and I heard that it’s because of drama between band members and that they’ve been done since 2020 but idk if the drama part is true
