Liqui moly !
What is the site you use to get specs on your car such as torque specs for bolts etc?
Can't help myself I always change oil at operating temp. Amsoil and purolator for my Ford. Amsoil and mercedes oem for my w205.
Sweet Jesus.
Scotty another tip you failed to mention is to prefill your oil filter with oil I always do that so you don’t start the vehicle dry
Me: Yea I change my own oil for years
Scotty: Hey! Your changing your oil wrong!
Me: I better watch this video just in case I'm wrong
LMFAOO oh wow he got me
Second time. I change oil once a year in my car.
Yep! He got me too just that way!🤣🤣🤣The good news is I was doing it right all along👍
Yeah, I missed the part where I'm doing it wrong. Thought he was going to come up with some mind-blowing revelation
😂😂😂😂😂😂 same!!!!!
I worked at a Mobil gas station and repair shop for thirty years and understand everything you say and agree on everything I've watched so far!
To bad people are too busy to maintain their vehicle and wait until it's on its last leg, I had customers that would tell me to do whatever I think it needs, and they had a very long lasting vehicle, but I was honest and they trusted me, it's almost impossible to find a good reliable mechanic, keep up the great videos!
It took my wife YEARS to understand preventative maintenance! Her attitude was “why fix it if it’s not broken? Just wait for it to break”. For years I tried to explain it’s around $25 for me to change the oil. It’s around $7000 for a new engine. Battery was another issue. You should change it around 5 years. I kept telling her it’s going to crap out on you when you’re 1000 miles from home 😂. Sure enough. Now she supports me with maintenance. In her defense, she did get 10 years out of that battery!
You should clean that funnel before using it. No use putting dirt back into the engine.
Which funnel
@@mimiarumugam2011 the one he used
I noticed the grime on it. NOT on my oil change watch..
seems like the oil didn't touch it
Don't use a funnel. Buy the oil by the quart. No spillage like with the 5 quart jug.
Without his hands waiving I wouldn’t understand a word he was saying. Thanks Scotty!

What, no impact gun on an oil plug? 🤯 Cross-threading creates a better seal, at least that's what Walmart said after they did it.
This is what happened to my audi s4 took it to the dealer for a $3200 repair. Nice 50 dallar job went to a 3 grand.
Moua Xiong tf you doing on this channel if you take your car to get it’s oil changed? It’s the easiest DIY you can do for your car and if it’s the only thing you ever do to maintain it, it’s plenty to keep it going

Yep, you only do the double gasket thing.....once, cause it's a helluva mess to clean up. lol
@@ZombiesIII yup, starts gushing out.
I could see possibly issues with some ppl useing a 24in breaker bar to tighten the oil drain plug...
But he didnt use it to tighten the new filter, he only used it to loosen the old one. He only hand-tightened the new one.
@@unclebrucelive the oil plug, not the filter.
I always change my oil hot.because I agree about the sediments being suspended...also tighten the oil filter hand tight then I snug up on it about a 1/4 to 1/2 turn with a 3/8 drive ratchet useing one of those cup style oil filter wrenches...I don't trust hand tight but never over tight.
I do it but only because it's always in a bad spot. I have never over done it. But you need to use common sense.
@@snouter wrong! warm, not hot
Oh man, I learned a lot. I learned that I am changing my oil perfectly, the right way.
A lot of of newer cars use a crush washer on the oil drain plug, it prevents leaks when it's crushed and it also helps prevent the stripping of the oil pan threads. Use one.
I've been changing my own oil for 40 years. I've never replaced a single drain plug gasket. Not defending my behavior, just stating fact. There have never been any consequences.
Me too😬
Never on mine, but on many customers vehicles.
Yep! Same here!
Never needed a 1-1/2ft breaker bar either.
Some gaskets need to be replaced every time, the crushable ones, others do not, like the one on my Mitsubishi Triton.....

I've been changing my own oil for the last 18 years and I've never changed the drain plug gasket. I don't even care to check if it had one or not and I've never had problems with leaks. Leave it to Scotty to make me worried about my oil changes from now on...... Because of course I'm doing it wrong.
I have been changing mine since I was a teen I am now in my 50's and mine never had one either it looks to be built in solid no other pieces.
I know..me too. Now I gotta ck. And get a new one lol.
Ive never even seen one. The plug i have just seals up aginst the machined surface. No all the plugs ive seen do this thats like 10 cars.
There was one car that has a copper washer. The thing was like $3 a pop. That's as much as a cheap Fram filter! It was soft enough to deform when the plug was properly torqued. I learned to file it flat again very carefully and polish with a diamond stone, and I got up to more than a dozen changes on the same washer before going to a quick stop, where they just threw on a steel washer, and I was like -- WTF, why was the mfg use the copper one in the first place?!

I guess I'm guilty. I never change the drain plug gasket. :-(
Me too. I never even thought about it.
It's a crush gasket, so every time it's used it forms a fresh seal. If you don't change it you risk some leakage. But if you aren't leaking anything, then you're probably fine. But I'm sure you know this.
@@AndyRock1 Yup, never had a leak....YET!
Same here & I've never had any issues
May the crush washer God's be with you.
I always fill my filter full of oil before install. GM 6.0 in my caddie. No jack needed to get under it either. Super easy oil change
zero need to fill the filer. zero. Car starts on previous cylinder wall oil and oil from pan not filter. Zero effect
10K change intervals will wreak havoc on your motor! All the ports in the motor need to be clean in order to work as intended.
Gasket!? I didn't even know that you had to put a new one!
Thanks Scotty!
theyre good to have if you're doing a lot, on some cars you dont have to, some cars you do
Some oil change places do that part of the service like Quikfit in the UK
Stupidly
Nothing scarier than watching someone use a breaker bar to torque on an oil pan bolt.
At least he wasn't using a 3/4" drive...
So count the turns. Once hand tight only turn a little more. It doesn't take a lot of force. You just have to use a little sense. Or you can choke up on the bar.
@@johnchestnut5340 I'd highly recommend leaving the breaker bar in the toolbox.
@@murph1414 I've worked with guys who didn't know the difference between pounds, ounces and Newtons. If I have to use a breaker bar to loosen it, then why clutter my work area with another tool to tighten it just because someone else doesn't know how torque works or how to count turns? I get your meaning, but I'm also not acting as though I don't know how to turn a bolt just because someone else doesn't.
James Murphy no point me buying a torque wrench when a ring spanner or socket with breaker bar or ratchet can do the same job. Nipping bolts/nuts with any of the said tools is not hard, you’d be pretty pedantic not to use them. Scotty clearly wasn’t being He-Man when tightening. Its like telling people to wear gloves to change the oil....meh if it ain’t hot I don’t even bother.
This is video reminds me of my auto shop class from high school 18 years ago
The first and last time I had my oil changed at Walmart, they used a torque gun to tighten the pan bolt. At first they claimed it wasn't their fault because I, of course, wasn't in their system (keep your receipts). Long story short, they replaced my pan and gave me 4 free changes, which I threw away in front of them.
Wow, just goes to show how some people dont give a crap about other peoples vehicles
Walmart. This story is true. Hard to believe yes.
We bought four BF Goodrich All Terrain TA tires and had them shipped to walmart. They very carefully looked over my truck before accepting the job. They were concerned that I was trying to get them to put oversize tires on. The TAs are BIG.
Same exact size so they say ok.
First thing they did was break my key. The circuit board fell out in my truck under the seat. They handed me the pieces. Ok...I've got a spare key. Here.
Then they say they can't do the work. Lugnut recall and they've only got 4 in stock. ?
I uhhhh...
Then they lost my keys. That's TWO SETS NOW.
The bottom line is those tires peperwork got lost in the shuffle. We never got charged. Two sets of free keys too. I don't see how they stay in business. The tires were close to $1400.
I've always filled the new filter with fresh oil before installing - I never liked the idea of the filter having to be filled while the engine was running. Not sure if this helps the engine get lubricated on startup or not, but I did put 6ooK miles on an 88 Golf, which was still running perfectly when it got stuck in 3rd gear and I took it to the junkyard.
Not an option for some cars with filters on the side or on top.
The engine has a small amount of oil on all surfaces so running it for 2 seconds before the filter fills up probably won’t Damage it
I manually fill my filter
Not only do I fill mine at least halfway to prevent dry starts ( the condition where surprisingly most engine wear actually occurs), but I was taught to remove the filter seal completely and lube both sides of it
There is ABSOLUTELY NO reason for a drain plug to be installed so tight that you need a breaker bar to loosen it !!!!!!!!!!!!
I was wondering if going put pipe on end that breaker bar to lol...
no joke! had me wondering too.
I was using a water pipe tube to extend the leverage of my socket.
Also, I used pedestrian curb in less frequented area as jack to raise my car on one side, then crawl under to remove the bolt.
Good idea on using the curb. Especially beneficial for those of us with gravel driveways, so we have to use the street or sidewalk for a solid place to put our Jack/jackstands
We were taught to pre oil the paper element in the oil filter so it wasn't dry when the oil first hits it.
5:30 that funnel looks contaminated af. Youre changing oil the wrong way Scotty.
I was thinking the same thing lol
Hahaha
Contaminated, maybe. But grimy, for sure.
I totalyy agree. Adding dirt/grime to new oil is asking for trouble!
It wasnt his car so it doesnt matter!
I screamed NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ! When I saw Scotty use that filthy funnel !
only a few black fingerprints calm down lol
Hardly dirty 🙄.
I've watched my dad sink saw dust and spider webs with oil.
As long as the particles arent too big, the oil filter will handle it.
@@candlestyx8517 There is no such thing as "Too clean", when working on engines ! Take the extra 10 seconds , and do the job right !
The number one mistake that I made when I first changed oil was not knowing how much I should put new oil in the engine. Ended up having to drain the excess oil out to have the right amout in.😂 There is no max line like there is in brake fluid tank or coolant tank for example.
Always clean your funnel first!
I use 2 funnels. One for new oil only and the other for emptying the drain pan into the empty oil container for recycling.
I once knew a mechanic who had a 44 gallon drum with a tap about 1/3 of the way from the bottom. He filled the drum with used engine oil and let it sit for a few weeks. He would then drain the top 2/3 into another container and then use the oil in his oil heater at home. He would then fill the 44 gallon drum again, leaving the old 1/3 in the drum and do the same thing again. When the bottom 1/3 was just sludge, he would empty it into recycling containers to be recycled. Mind you, it took several years for the bottom 1/3 to be sludge.
If the filter hangs vertically, I pre-fill it, particularly on the 2001 Passat 1.8T, where I use a Purolator L40316, which takes a full quart.
So you bypass filtering fresh oil while the filter is primarily for filtering the fresh oil because that is when it is the dirtiest.
@@lorihinton1920 ?????
I pre-fill the filter with fresh oil instead of installing it empty, so I get full oil pressure without having to pump a quart first.
nope. engine starts off preexisting oil from cylinder walls thats why you use good oil. car does not start off filter. oil is in the pan for pickup not filter. None are used for startup
I fill my car with Gatorade. It has electrolytes
I always check the dipstick after an oil fill.
That's funny I just changed my oil on my 1967 Pontiac Firebird I usually get Castrol 20/50 but STP was on sale. 70's oil
I've been changing my own oil on all my vehicles since 1975 my high school vehicle back then was a 1966 Chevy Impala SS 327 V8...
Once the engine gets a lot of miles it may start to use a little oil due to the tolerances not being as tight anymore. That is when you change for instance from 5W30 to 10W30. At least my dad's done that in several cars he's fixed over the years that were using oil and they never used another drop.
just use high mileage synthetic. no difference in 5-30 and 10-30 except when its cold.
I always take a rag/paper towel so I can wipe things down when changing the oil
Been doing all my own services for over 20year's never replaced a oil sump washer, never had a leak, go figure. I let a cold engine run for a minute or 2 only, i find the oil flows out better when it's a bit warm. That way exhaust is not to hot. Was always taught to release the oil cap a bit first but i find the trick is leave it on untill you have the oil drain bolt out, then undo the oil cap. This way it doesn't flow to fast and end up down your hand n arm
I ran a diesel Skoda Octavia for 340,000+ miles, oil changed every 10,000 miles (manufacturers recommended interval) and I never once removed the drain plug. I use a vacuum pump to extract the old oil.
Thanks: I didn't know they took filters at auto zone.
Not all do. Check with the store first. The AutoZone I work at "takes" them but get tossed into the trash.
as far as recycling the oil and filters... go to your local oil change shops n ask em if they mind taking em. we have large trash cans we fill up with filters and when full we have companies that come get them and our used oil. we never get close to filling our oil tanks nor does all of our trash cans usually get full with filters before being picked up.
I bought my brother in laws 1996 Dodge truck which he used Mobile one after the third oil change. When I got it from him it had 361,000 miles on the orig.motor.the transmission and rearend had been rebuilt but the motor still ran great. I'm sold on Mobile one.
3:08 Using the old filter to lubricate the new filters' gasket puts checking the old gasket came off with its' filter into the ritual.
What happened to the oil in the filter he took off.......??maybe all that hot air blew it away
* Does something wrong *
Scotty: that's not how you do wrong
put alittle oil in filter if it goes on upend.
In the hotter western states you can use 10w-30 until it gets in the low 40s. Cold 5w is thicker than warm 30w.
30w works between 46 degrees to 104.
You should of added some oil to the new filter before installing......all us gear heads know why we do this,,,,,,just do it...
It's on the side of the engine so he can't, if it's on the bottom then do it
I know this and I’m just starting out haha poor guy.
On my mom 2008 Honda Accord it was burning oil at 140k miles changed to a 5w30 full syn high mileage from a 5w20 and now it has 380k miles still running hella strong! No longer burns oil. 4500k miles I change her oil. great car! But this was the only car I have changed the oil type.
i have 1994 f150 with 4.9 engine i have 375,000,000 miles it still runs like new and has had nothing but super tech 10w30 from wal mart her whole life i changed the valve cover gasket and lifters were clean as can be
First time I've seen a gasket on the oil plug... Oops
Same here!🤣
All Honda’s do.
@@illalwaystaketheb-side4336 No they don’t. They have crush washers, just like this car, and they’re supposed to be replaced every time.
The "W" in 5W30 and the rest of em
stands for "winter" meaning it's a
30 viscosity oil that has the flow
properties of a 5 viscosity oil under
winter driving conditions .it doesn't stand for "weight " . I'm sure Mr. Kilmer knew that, and was just checking to see who all knew.
JMHO- I always use the engine oil that the factory recommends since they spend millions on R&D every year so as to get it right. That, and
with the internal gadgetry such as
cam phasers that are designed to
function properly with a specific
oil, I would have worries about
longevity of internal engine parts.
Drive the car and then check for a leak after it warms up. That’s why I don’t trust anybody to change my oil and I always do it myself. He did so many things I don’t agree with. A friend of mine took his Harley Davidson to the dealer to get all of the oil changed before leaving on a trip. The dealership neglected to put any oil in the primary after they drained it. Good thing it was still under warranty.
The W means winter not weight. I always fill my filter before o put it on. That easy because it goes on vertically. I also drain the old oil out of the filter by puncturing it twice. First on the bottom and again on the side as high as I can manage. Very little oil runs down the side that way.
The gloves are crucial.
Also the angle it’s gonna come out.
Underestimate how far it’s gonna shoot out at an angle, you have a nice hot pile of dirty oil on your driveway.
And I’d say ramps and chocks instead of a jack.
But you sir, are a legend, so I will never question your opinion.
My vehicle the manual says 5w30 but if it is over a certain temp outside can use 10w30. I live where we usually get cold Winters and the manual says to use 0w30 which is synthetic or a full synthetic 5w30. So I just use a full synthetic 5w30 whatever is cheapest and change the oil and filter about every 5000 miles. Previous vehicles I changed about every 5000 with regular oil and never had a problem due to oil. The rest of the vehicle always had issues.
I've been changing my own oil for years because I don't trust those fresh out of high school kids that work at those oil lube places. With that said, I forgot to check once if the old gasket came off the oil filter when I took it off, and it didn't, so I put the new oil filter on and ran the car and it leaked oil but I noticed quick enough (even though about half the oil had already leaked) and turned off my car quickly and had some spill kit handy and threw it on there.. still have a bit of a stain in the driveway even though I used a few different chemicals to clean it but at least I caught it in time and didn't blow my engine!
POINT OF MY STORY: make sure you always check that you took off the gasket from your old oil filter when you remove it before putting on a new oil filter, same goes for the drain plug, make sure you remove the old gasket off the plug before putting a new one on!!!
What if the recommended oil is for temperatures between 10C* to 42C* but I live in an area where the temperature is between 40* to 50*C in summer
Your owners manual will specify what to use in those situations
Brandon Rose Unfortunately they didn’t expect this situation, so they didn’t recommend anything and even the new model (2019) doesn’t recommend anything that is reliable over 42C*. At this point we got used to it we know what works beat from experience mostly Castrol Magnetic 10w-40 if you’re curious.
Wouldn't even worry about it. Engine temp gets way hotter than that and a few more degrees C at ambient isn't going to make much difference.
Right Scotty you need to check on the net how much oil you should put in, but the dip stick is right there for that very purpose...and didn't even start engine for final level !! Good on you Scotty !!!🤔😇

Scotty: Watching my videos
Youre doing it wrong
One important fact. If you can, change your own oil! You have no idea what oil is really being put into your engine with these lube shops. They don't tighten your plug or filter many times and don't fill your engine to correct capacity. I also fill my new filter with oil before installing it. It's the "little" things that these quick lube shops won't do.
One Time I used a oil funnel that was too small, and the way the 2019 F150 is designed is, is that the alternator is right below it. I came inches from spilling a whole bunch of oil on the exposed coils.
Missed step ? You should take the oil fill cap off engine to allow some airflow so the oil will drain quicker & fully. Oil cap should be first item off last item on.
?????? Most engines have breathers right?
4:30 I use synthetic oil but I buy them on sale like on father's day etc so it costs almost the same as regular oil, and I do the job myself.
Don't forget to check the oil filter n make sure it's warm.Check the dip stick to to make sure it's at level but make sure you wipe it off be you stick it in to check ✌️
One thing you can do wrong is to use that stupid STP filter! My son damaged an engine with one of those. I got under the car and took a picture of the oil coming out of a crack in the side of the filter while the engine was running. There were no signs of damage during installation -- no dents, gouges, displaced metal, or missing paint. It was just a crack in the metal that was painted over. Obviously, STP does not perform any type of pressure test on their filters before shipping them in order to verify that they don't leak!
Hahaha I use that new 0w20 Pennzoil Natural Gas oil in my dodge 4.7 that calls for 5w20. I get MUCH smoother cold starts and way better gas mileage. It promises to provide the same protection in engines that call for 5w20. I highly recommend it.
This is why I do it myself. Shops usually just throw 10-40 at everything. You mention 3000 and 5000 mile intervals and synthetic, I go 5000 for 2000 Corolla with mixed blend Castrol. I also see some people filling the filter prior to installing (I guess for startup)?
10-40 way to0 heavy. Synthetic doesn't need to be heavy its better. Engine starts on cylinder oil film layer not filter. pump is in pan not filter. Just let it sit for a while and drain into filter
2:36 oil filter had a date of 8/16. has it been 3 years since it was changed?
Maybe it was the 16th of August 2017... you know these Americans and their backwards dates. Hahaha
@@2010ngojo Or August 16th.
@@erickarellano1029
Like I'm gonna specifically mark down the day of when the filter is installed.
@@2010ngojo come on... It's Scotty, he probably wrote the time on there too!!!
I only write the month/day and mileage I change the filter, but maybe 8/16 (August 16th) is when the oil/filter would be due for replacement if it didn't reach the mileage interval first?
Costco has full synthetic in a variety of weights at a cost of approximately 10 qts for under $30.
Bought some crush washers. Hopefully the gear oil takes the same one on my 09 versa
The catch about having a mechanic change your oil is that you can never know if he did a bad job or not. However if you do it yourself, then you will know.
I pull the gasket out of the oil filter and lube both sides
Scotty, any thoughts on doing videos on older car maintenance? Like you, I'm too cheap to buy a new car.
Oil will drain better hot tho🤔
Scotty you the man common sense
For you kids, you can use a regular ratchet and find a piece of pipe a couple feet long that will fit your ratchet.
It’s called a Cheater Bar & 1 Day you WILL need this.
1) Using a 1/2” breaker bar to tighten to drain plug?!? No, no, no, a thousand times no.
2) Dirty funnel ... resting square on the valve train.
3) Lubed the gasket, but otherwise installed a dry filter. No bueno. At least fill it up once, pour it back out if you can’t install it without it spilling it everywhere, and then install it.
Modern engines do not just have 1 oil type, regardless of what he says. I promise if you open your manual, there will be multiple oils listed based on temperature range you are operating the vehicle in.
Says he changes his oil every year. Oil filter says 8/16......Science!
salty probably a customers car
Probably his wifes lexus
Scotty knows. I kick it up a notch by using an actual torque wrench to tighten my drain plug.
I only use castrol or mobil1 or valvoline when budget
Why did I watch this when I know how to change my oil🤔😑

Yeah I've been useing 10w40 in a car that uses 5w30 (03 Camry vvti) I use it because it just seems to run better ie it burns less
You're a nut man I've changed oil about a hundred and fifty times but I still watched your video because you're so entertaining
I love how this man waves his hands all over the place when he talks
Me too.... about forty some years,,,,,
And soooo loud
@@PeterSmith-ls7ut lol yeah does that guy know hes talking that loud?
Same here, plus, I wanted to make sure I was doing it right all these years, lol.

Proceeds to pour oil into a dirty funnel.
Exactly ! I noticed that filthy funnel too.
Ya but makes sure to change the plug gasket 🤣🤣

uses a huge breaker bar for that little bolt too sure he knows left from right but what if someone else isn't paying attention lol
I work at Valvoline, I do this 60 times a day. WHY DID I watch this 😂😂
Because YOu dOInG iT WRonG
For the entertainment!!! 😆
60x/day?
wow.
@@shaark92 not surprising at Valvoline
@@austinsharrett9073 I don't doubt one of these service centers with 1/2 dozen/more bays can do 60 oil changes/day ... but I understood the commenter to mean he personally has done 60 in a day. That's a really really long day.
Me: Clicks on video
Scotty: “You’re doing it wrong”
Scotty ... Stay tuned next week when I report on why .. Toilet paper companies are a rip off..
Me.....cant wait
Looks like I was changing my oil right this whole time
Ya so was I

It’s the heat in Houston.
That's the brand name of the fan
That's a big a$$ f***ing fan!!
Sorry, I agree with this entire video except for using a 2 foot long breaker bar to tighten a oil drain plug. That's how you end up having to replace the oil pan after 50k miles because the threads are stripped.
I'm surprised he didn't get a torque wrench out for that as well.
Well obviously you don't put full force on it, but if you hold back and can tell roughly how much torque you are applying (as I'm sure a 50+ year mechanic would)... there's nothing wrong with that
Yeah Scotty is mostly full of shyt at this point. Who uses a breaker bar on an oil drain bolt? No amount of being careful with a massive breaker bar is gonna stop you from overtightening that bolt and destroying it. Just use a normal sized ratchet lmaoooo. RIP everyone who follows this advice.
TRUTH!
Interesting
Breathing air? You're doing it wrong!
Rev up your lungs!!
Most people do breath wrong, im not joking
@@FrostedZaibatsu wow
You guys are hilarious!
0:53 Freakin Jiffy Lube places. Shouldn't have to use a Breaker Bar on the Oil Drain Bolt 😡
Jiffy lube doesnt use breaker bars on the drain plug I was there yesterday 😂
when you take it to a shop, everything is either way too tight or not tight enough.
Aint that the truth. I swear they freaking tighten those bolts to 50 ft lbs because theyre too cheap to put a new gasket on it
Scotty’s next video:
Own a car?
You’re doing it wrong
Scotty: You are owning it wrong!
if not Honda or Toyota, that would be correct.Judging by ur thumbnail, you appear to be not wrong.(nice car)
So I was doing it right the whole time !
"He who's name is gold, IS, gold." Pancho Villa back in the day.
You use a breaker bar to break loose and tighten your oil drain bolt? Yeah you've been doing it wrong
@@vviiper maybe if you have a super tight bolt a breaker bar is fine..but i agree use a normal wrench to tighten...
Oil filter removal tip
Make a tin foil funnel to keep the engine clean. Some designs drip oil everywhere after the filter is removed.
Newspapers or tarps help if you miss the oil pan.
Your right doing is still wrong...
Watching RUclips videos? You're doing it WRONG
Thanks Matthew I went ahead and put a pan under my monitor
Help please
Nah I am doing it right, I am watching Scotty kilmer instead of Logan Paul.
Scotty Kilmer owns the company that makes oil plug gaskets.
I'm glad someone in the comments is like minded, 😂 in pushing half a mile miles between my two cars, both have factory gaskets

dorman or genuine toyota?
Scotty you rascal. Making money coming and going.
Gaskets are cheap, your motor is not!
For the love of God, please show people how to pour oil from a container sideways so it won't glug. Do a 60 minute video about it.
Thank god someone called that out. Drives me insane that people don't know how to pour oil out of a gallon jug. Same thing with lacquer thinner. You pour with the opening at the high point, not the low. Gotta let a void develop for air to pads to avoid the glug glugs.
@@mattodonnell9182 Some folks just love a good glug glug glug glug glug and fun to watch the oil splatter. Even better if you get some in your eyes. Scotty uses his sunglasses for eye protection.
Shop towels?
OR from the pour spout up top, high point. Our funnel is 5"×9" on top, catches any overspill
@@gerald7044 Na, just brain surgery and oil pouring. Nuttin else is important.
