When Emily says “I love you” at the end, she always says it in a very specific tone, it’s the same way I say it to my toddlers, so I know she means it.
Both my girls wanted to wear makeup to school, and I also felt bad about saying No, but I took them to Walmart and we found clear mascara and a super light pink eyeshadow , lip gloss. I allowed them to wear it the next day at school. It wasn’t hardly noticeable but they were so excited. I continued to buy barely there items for them to wear and it settled the wearing makeup deal. I don’t how you feel about it but maybe worth a try. Good luck
Aw, mom moment felt! I had the same discussion with my daughter as well. My youngest is really getting into makeup and doesn’t understand my “rules” when it comes to makeup. She can play with it anyway she wants at home, but when we got out, I’ll allow lipgloss (clear or sheer). She doesn’t understand that red is a “grown up” color at all! 💄
Absolutely loved your family voice over video! It was so heartwarming ❤❤❤. Found it very relaxing and just enjoyed a different way to watch you do makeup!
I really missed you not showing how you apply eyeshadow that you used. I learn a great deal from you when you show what and how you’re doing! Looking forward to the Natasha Denona video. Thank you for all of your informative and creative videos!!❤❤❤
Ok I totally get it now about the need to set. I’ve always loved your videos but living in London I have never set my makeup as I like a fresh, dewy look. We have been in Florida for our summer holidays with extreme heat and now I cannot go without setting my face! I don’t wear foundation with this heat but even with just my cream blusher and highlighter I need to very lightly set!
Em, this video was great! New makeup way of thinking! The voiceover on your last video was precious! I enjoyed it so much. Your family is so precious! 💜💜💜👄💋
Yay! I’ve been waiting for the new video to drop, I’ve been binge watching old videos so I clicked on this super fast! Love this video idea. Also I would love to see a full face of flower beauty, I’m super interested in the brand.
Hi Emily! We are usually the same shade and I use shade bisque in the merit stick. I found that this shade worked much better for me for longer wear. Love watching your videos!
Hi Emily, I loved the famly voiceover video. I also love this very helpful and wonderful video. I did not know much about Merit products but you created a great look with them and the other products used. I like the blush too. Be well and take care and we love you too Emily.❤❤❤🌹🌹💐💐
Yes Merrit is a “go to” for Minimalist. Almost any minimalist GRWM video will be done with only Meritt makeup. I am somewhat of a minimalist myself, just not when it comes to cosmetics. 😆 Edit to add: Minimalism is about keeping things around that bring you joy. Makeup and skincare bring me joy. 😊❤
I'm having the same situation with my daughter she's 7 and loves watching me put on makeup. Its so hard to make her understand that for now she has to play with it at home only.
I really love Merit products and use them to achieve the "under painting" look. Alana Davison has a video showing her way of doing it. For me it's such a great and quick way of getting a natural look without using a bunch of products. I really didn't think I was going to like the technique but I love it, who knew?! Then there are days when I want full glam, a gal needs options right? 😅😅. Thank you Emily!
Very pretty look! 😍 Merit is not available in Sephora Sweden yet, but crossing my fingers it’ll get there soon! 🤞I love minimalist makeup ❤️ Thanks for sharing! 💕
That L’Oréal infallible powder foundation really locks it in. I find myself using it a lot over lighter coverage to really make my makeup stay. It’s very humid where I live.
Hello Emily 😊😊😊OMG a new video. Was hoping for iy😅😅I'm in the middle of coaches conferences and podcasts for week 0 on the daily 😅don't even know where to jump first!? A big pretty please 😅😅Patrick Ta has a new matte only palette coming out. It looks great. I wonder if you maybe could review it? It looks great, like it has an actual gradient from really light, light, medium to really dark in actual matching undertones in neutral and warm tones. I've been looking for years for a palette like this.
My daughter didn’t wear make up really out in public or to school until the middle of seventh grade. She also does competitive cheer so anytime there is a competition She was in huge amounts of make up so she got to wear some, sometimes, & we always let her know that that was enough & that she’s absolutely gorgeous without it. Lots of schools actually have rules about no makeup
The merit blush are my absolute favorite. I have the shade raspberry beret and I think you would love it. It’s my favorite formula. I have the highlight too and it’s pretty but I don’t think it’s anything special, I wish it was the same texture as the blush!
I am not ready for moody fall vibes yet. All it does is trick my mind into thinking it's fall, then I walk out into triple digit heat plus humidity and curse the world. 😅
Aww poor #EmilyNoel as soon as school starts she gets it every year. This is a beautiful lady❤❤❤❤❤❤it's really sad because she sees mommy doing it and loves it. She also sees all of us who are crazy over it but doesn't realize she's so young school and church 😢😢😢I just feel so sad for her because she's not asking alot but makeup at her she even though she's allowed to wear it to cheer she's probably confused about why not. Truly sad she's a doll and Emily I know how you feel. My girls I allowed them to play with it at home and if we want really going anywhere but truly to make them understand church and school isn't the place. Idk is kinda of tricky she wants to look and be like mommy. That's going to be hard. God luck with it all. Much love to you all❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Have you ever used the M.Asam Magic Finish? It can be compared to a skin tint but it has the most beautiful finish of any of my makeup products. I can’t remember how I was introduced to it but I bought it on HSN and always bought it there. I found it on Amazon recently and have bought it there twice. It is a little too light to actually be a foundation boy oh my goodness it’s gorgeous. Anyway, I have the Merit stick and I am going to pull it out and see how the combination work.
@@emilynoel83 I don’t like to spend too much money on makeup because I don’t wear it everyday. But I will pay more for foundation and certain other things like lippies. I will definitely check this brand out though, I do like stick foundations and I love the Tower 28 skin tint! I’ve been using it for a few months now and I love how it makes my skin glow but I don’t usually set it with powder, but I’ll try that. Do you know of any dupes for the Merit brand?
Just saw 2 loreal ads during law and order speaking to diversity and inclusion by adding six pigments and new colors to their True Match line with an African American model leading the way. Your bold red lip from MAC cosmetic in your last video is a great choice for Latina women with a red lip being a very deep, one and done, polished look steeped deep in the history of their culture. Happy Tuesday!🎉🎉🎉🎉Brooklyn 12:23
I compare Merit with Glossier. Both brands are for people with perfect skin because I find there is no pigment in their products, not to mention that neither are long lasting on the face. This is just my opinion after watching a lot of reviews of products from both brands.
Almost anyone that wears makeup in the country will have to set it with a decent piwder with the crazy heat and humidity mist of us are getting right now. Im in the South and its pretty unbearable right now.
I was pretty sure those Merit sticks wouldn't work on my mature, yet still a bit oily, skin; thank you for showing me why. I wear very little makeup now; a multi-layer complexion step just isn't going to happen.
Emily, you are so sweet but never cry because you stop your choldren from doing things are are wrong. I'm old school that way just say NO with determination and no explanation. Then in a quieter moment you can give her your reason. They are young , start setting precedences otherwise when they become teenagers your voice will have no relevence. So as we in Italy say: better they cry now than you.later😊
I BELIEVE this is crap! Overpriced sticky and I have dry as a bone skin. 2 products I bought 1 is there blush. Still won't set down without setting spray or light powder. 1 product very over priced is their lip oil or lip gloss whatever they call it. Very nice, wear time short, cost per once! ALot!! So, as you can tell sticky, messy over priced. Not a fab at all for their prices!!😮 The truth will set you free..
That is a classy minimalist makeup??? 🫢 And why have we to use a Merit stick absolutely? Learn from the bests: Lisa Eldridge, Nikki Larose, even Julia Adams for the youngest generation, they are all makeup artists and they know how to do classy minimalist when it is necessary. One thing is sure: I’m in L.A., we have very high temperatures here and I wouldn’t put so much on my face for an every day look. I am older than you, so I probably have much more to hide, but still I absolutely never make my makeup cakey or thick like that on my face. The skin needs to breathe. The maximum coverage has been over since awhile now.
When Emily says “I love you” at the end, she always says it in a very specific tone, it’s the same way I say it to my toddlers, so I know she means it.
AW! Yes I do mean it :D
I noticed her tone when saying it too and she definitely sounds so sincere. It always warms my heart.
It means so much each time. ❤
Yesssss, touches my heart!
The family voice over was so cute! Not only the things they chose to say, but THE WAY they said them! Adorable! They’re watching you, momma!
Thanks!!
I can tell the kids are back to school. We all catch that cold within the first couple weeks😂 Feel better Emily❤
Both my girls wanted to wear makeup to school, and I also felt bad about saying No, but I took them to Walmart and we found clear mascara and a super light pink eyeshadow , lip gloss. I loved Belles eyeshadow story Sat and now we know the behind the scenes. Thank you for sharing that
Your content is so refreshing, always incredibly high quality. Been watching since I was in middle school, I’m 23 now!

ohh yep. It's hard to negotiate with them!!
Am i the only one that saves up the week of Emily videos to watch all at once? It's my Saturday morning treat to myself 😊
Love you Em!
Absolutely loved your family voice over video! It was so heartwarming ❤❤❤. Found it very relaxing and just enjoyed a different way to watch you do makeup!

That blush is awesome.
I loved the family voice over. Belle warmed my heart.
LOVE the new garland and the pumpkins! So cute and pretty!
Whole video on tinted moisturizer please!
I love your practical approach to makeup!
Thank you so much!

Thank you! I need to look into that line more. Sometimes I forget about it since it's no longer in the stores where I live
Great idea! I’ve never used any of the Flower makeup. I’d also like to see a full face of Honest Beauty and a review by Emily.
Love the eye look! Looking forward to your palette review
Thank you!! It'll be my next video :)

Love your concept on how to make Merit work for you! I can’t WAIT to hear your thoughts on the new ND I Need a Nude palette! ❤

Great video! I would love to see you do a review of your top or best skin tints/ tinted moisturizers!
I appreciate the comment about crying. Mine are 15 and 12 and we still have those days. That’s real life ❤
Love you Em!❤
I’m intrigued by the Merit blush balms! Will be checking those out especially if they have another holiday bundle!
I'm having the same situation with my daughter she's 7 and loves watching me put on makeup. Its so hard to make her understand that for now she has to play with it at home only.
Exactly! Hard for them to accept it!
I like this soft look on you. The tinted moisturizer is a good color match for you. It's not as yellow based as so many of your foundations.
Your channel is awesome and so are you 😊
Love the girls popping in

thank you!

Emily have you thought of maybe changing your makeup room a bit? Like rearranging furniture and moving things around?
Can you do a minimalist travel make-up bag.
Could you try the new Merit matte creme shadows? They look amazing for a one shadow look!
yes! I just realized they had those - they look fun!
I tried the tower 28. Lightweight, easy to blend. ❤
I love you, Em!
Pretty look 🌸🌻
I am not ready for moody fall vibes yet. All it does is trick my mind into thinking it's fall, then I walk out into triple digit heat plus humidity and curse the world. 😅
I’m using Colorscience with It cosmetics celebration illumination powder foundation, tarte blush/bronzer & brow powder.
that's a nice powder foundation!

Great video. Love all your videos and your advice. 👍💯❤️❗
I would really love if you could review Gen See makeup. It looks perfect for a minimalist routine but I hardly see any reviews 😊
Could you do a review about the new face palette of danessa merrics, please?
I just finished watching Lisa J (BK Beauty founder) use all the merit products. They look like great products, I need to see if I can get in Australia
Have you seen the Bobbi Brown Vitamin enriched skin tint? I’m curious your opinion.
You look so fresh and pretty

Hi! I need help! My favorite lipstick is the bite beauty soft matte in the shade praline...could you recommend something along that same lines?
Emily, you look so beautiful even without makeup. Me however, I need my full face to look presentable to the world. 😂❤
same here 😆 I've tried the minimalist approach and I always end up with a full face of makeup, and the worst part is there's not much improvement 😁🤪
@@neneg.4264 😆
Good for you, Mom, for sticking to your guns on the makeup issue. ❤
Hello beautiful! Your last video was so inspiring and cute to watch and listen to. 😘 Love kazzaroo (UK).
thank you so much!
I was a Pi Phi too! (… an eternity ago😂)
I have never heard of the merit brand before. Is it all minimalist makeup? I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup generally.
Yes, it seems like a pretty minimal/basic line. I think they just recently added some cream to powder eye singles
@@emilynoel83 I don’t like to spend too much money on makeup because I don’t wear it everyday. But I will pay more for foundation and certain other things like lippies. As usual, love your look/video! TY Emily! Let me reiterate comments from 7😅😅😅😅So fun!
Not makeup related but i live in the bootheel of Mo town Portageville. Do to the heat our school is letting out noon Friday

same!! I think we've been under an excessive heat warning for a solid week! Hang in there!
Yessss! I’m in Texas and it’s been over 100 degrees nearly everyday since June! 😩😩
I was pretty sure those Merit sticks wouldn't work on my mature, yet still a bit oily, skin; thank you for showing me why. I wear very little makeup now; a multi-layer complexion step just isn't going to happen.
i couldnt get over the cost of the outfits on those bama rush girls
Not sure it's really minimal, but the merit stick is not a good product.
🥰😊
Day 2 of begging you to review the Merit Signature Lip lipsticks and for you to us a formula dupe
thank you for the request!! I'll be looking into this line further, for sure!
You're the best Em!
aah, Belle wants to be just like Mommy. Can't blame her for that, lol.. So cute. They grow up so fast. xo
they really do!
