I've also been using Hourglaasses Dim Light under my eyes, and it looks so beautiful
Beautiful review.
I'm 66 with combination skin.
After trying many types of setting powders I always come back to NYX Mineral Matte Setting Powder.
I just recently picked up a trial sized version of the Laura Mercier Ultra Blur setting powder in rose. It’s talc free but I don’t find it to be sparkly or shimmery. So far I’m liking it under my very dry 55 year old under eyes. I just use the tiniest bit on a puff and it looks great. I also use it on my face very lightly in my more textured areas. Lovely.
Hi Stephanie, THANK YOU for doing this powder video. I've been using the Lottie London's Ready Set Go undereye pink brightening setting powder & it's working well for my 60 yr. old very dry skin. Plus being talc free, only ~$8, vegan, and cruelty free it's a win/win!!
Yay a powder video! Loved your old setting and finishing powder videos. I’m so excited for new recommendations. Thank you!
Thanks for this very informative video. I have very dry skin, use tretinoin, and live in a very dry climate. So that’s three strikes against me. I use the Charlotte Tilbury and have a bit of the Givenchy left. Since I only set my under eyes both should last for quite a while. In addition I’m 71 and have been using talc products all my life, so I’m not too worried about any effects.
I am so glad to come across your video so early. I’ve been watching you for years. Love your content.😊😊😊
The Tower 28 pink one I absolutely ❤️
Costco is selling givenchi original powder for fair skin online. I bought it this week
Awesome!! I've been looking for a good updated version of powders fro my dry skin!
This was great. I would have loved to have heard which one is your absolute favorite though.🤷♀️
Thank you Stephanie!
I just received the Wet n Wild and am hopeful it will be the one. So far everything I've used under my eyes, whether loose or not, has made my 64-year-old under eyes shrivel up like raisins which is horrifying!
I use Charlotte Tilbury a very tiny bit for setting under the eyes and then I go over it with a damp beauty blender to tap it out
This is a really good comprehensive video. Many brands are reformulating to be talc free and replacing the talc with mica due to fear of lawsuits, even though the J&J lawsuits were about talc in the vaginal area not the face. Mica seems to give my face a weird shiny look when used as the first ingredient. Some of my previous favorite loose powders don’t work for me anymore so I’m always looking for new options.
Trust me, I've searched! 😩 Chanel's loose setting powder is the closest match to Givenchy's discontinued version. Normal skin, 46-year-old approved! 👌🏼
Does the Chanel powder blur and is it matte on the skin or does it have a glow factor?
Try the new makeup by mario powder. Rumour has it that Givenchy are once again reformulating their powder, as everyone hates the new one
Agreed 💯. I actually prefer Chanel as I have combo skin. I found the Makeup by Mario loose powder too heavy and the colors aren’t brightening, they are dull compared to Chanel. Also, the Chanel doesn’t have the shimmer, which I prefer with my skin (combo & I live in Houston, Texas with a TON of humidity). If I REALLY want a “glow,” which is RARE, I use an Hourglass Finishing Powder. Totally blurs, is just matte enough & is Super finely milled.
@@WifeDesignLife Ahhh, I am in the UK, so not humid here apart from mid summer. The MBM powder comes out as being very light when used here. Chanel I also love, but is a little heavier. Will be great in the summer here though
When rumours were swirling that Prisme Libre was going to be reformulated, I squirrelled a couple of the original formula away. I’ve tried many of these powders, but would love to try the Haus Labs one day.
I find in my 60’s, it’s all about the skin prep before applying any makeup and (when it comes to powder) I knock most of the powder out of the brush before gently pressing it into my skin. Then I follow with a good setting spray (like Charlotte Tilbury). To finish, I take a thoroughly squeezed out damp sponge and gently press the setting powder and spray into my skin.
Stephanie I cant believe you don't have Skinfood peach cotton blur powder on here. You out of no where introduced that powder in another video awhile back and is absolutely the most AMAZING holy grail powder for my dry but veryyyy textured orange peel pores. It smoothes like no other and does not look terrible or dry at all later in day. And the PRICE😮. Thank you for that GOLD recommendation💛💛💛💛
I’ve tried them all the best powder for mature skin is a new Guerlain powder ❤
The Huda powder sounds like it would be amazing for my very oily skin but I've always hesitated due to the fragrance. I see they now have a fragrance free version! 🤩
It blurs extremely well!❤❤
Hi Stephanie, this was so helpful ! ❤
You got me hooked on the Pat McGrath powder years ago. I even bought the pink shade after you recommended it.
I love Pat McGrath’s under eye powder. I have it in translucent, I will get it as a gift for Christmas.
How do you set it? Sponge or brush?
Hi Stephanie, how about IT cosmetics bye bye pores? It really does blur, I'd love to know what you think of it ❤
@@MilaMilovanovic I am 47 and use this and works beautifully for me.
@@joelladoobrow2817 great! For me too, I was just wondering if there are even better powders for pores out there
Totally agree with you about the Pat McGrath powder. It’s the best !!!
My favorite makeup powders are Makeup Forever and Huda. They are fantastic for oily skin.
I would love to see your thoughts on the new Makeup by Mario loose powder, if it as good as others are saying but for us more mature skinned ladies
This is supposed to be awesome I hear
I’ve never clicked so fast! I’m going to try Haus Labs had no idea they had loose powder!
Thanks for doing this; I learned so much.
I appreciate you being here for me !
I religiously used the no 7 lift and illuminate pressed powder for my setting my under eyes but since it’s been reformulated I use Pat McGrath in medium. Also the Kosas cloud set powder works well too
Also the new Tower 28 powder compact is great for under eyes imho
Thank you for this video!! ❤
Nikki LaRose is recommending the new Makeup By Mario setting powder as a super close substitute for the old Givenchy.
I love fit me loose powder too!
Why don’t people like the Givenchy brand anymore? I just started using it a couple of months ago and am very much liking it.
How come no one is talking about the Nikkia Joy powder anymore? That powder is so so good. Tops the Chanel and givenchy in my opinion.
Under the eye, by Terry rose. Pricey but the hyaluronic powder is fantastic
Thanks for sharing see you soon ❤
Great video, thank you!!! I’m curious to try the Haus Labs powder now :) So far the only powder that looks invisible on my 46 yr old skin is Westman Atelier in translucent- completely blurs my tzone. The only draw back is I have to re-apply halfway through the day, but I prefer that over a powder that emphasizes texture or lines
Love this video! Very informative and I love all the details about the product you give! Like Huda’s beauty loose powder how do you like to apply it? Since it has a sifter? Thank you for all your recommendations, you’re a content creator I can trust and appreciate! ❤😊
i tried the Tower 28 and did not like the texture of it at all. For a pressed pink powder, the Kosas Cloud Set is sooo much better. I have truly loved the Nikki’s Joy loose powders. I have the translucent and pink powder. I have tried others, but keep going back. I am 50 with very dry skin.
Just ordered the Pat McGrath but at Ulta, they’re rewards system is so much better 🤑😀
Any opinions or information about Clinique loose powder?
Great video. Wondering if you've tried the new Make up by Mario everyone is so crazy about?
What is your opinion on By Terry Hyaluronic Hydra Powder? I like it almost as much as much as I like the original Givenchy Libre. It NEVER cakes.
The Makeup by mario new powder is the closest to the Givenchy prisme libre (I think it is actually better) My HG undereye powder is Tarte creaseless powder
Lottie of London is fantastic
Great content! I have to admit I do not get excited about powder, despite the fact that I love the affect! It is the only beauty product that I only own 2 or 3 at a time. I am one of those who was really disappointed in the Givenchy reformulation, Patty Alonso turned me onto Dannessa Myricks loose pink powder and I love it! I am also one who does not ever go without the small black compact from PAT McGRATH! I am picky because I feel like a lot of powders darken my under eye area or change my makeup look so thanks for braking it down! I think I might take the plunge and buy the Huda powder all my trusted creators seem to love it. I wonder if you have tried the Chanel loose powder and if so would love your thoughts! Thank you again.
Maybe I missed your review on Makeup by Mario powder? Is it good for oily skin?
elf has a pink loose powder that I love!!!!
For dry or oily skin ? Thx
@@BethAnn-o6h i use it on the under eye, so i'd say that dry skin...i'm 50 years old.
I have never found a dupe for the Pat McGrath undereye powder. You can visibly see your lines blur when you pat it on. I have the old Givenchy formula, and it just doesn't work for me.
TFS what tool ( sponge brush) do you use to set the under eye area? For the Pat M
Which ones are considered “setting powder” versus a “finishing powder”?
I’ve never heard of the Haus Lab powder.
Me neither 🤔
Charlotte tilbury powder is one of the most DRYING powders
a lot of powders look cakey on me
The same here. I really would like not to love the Pat McGrath under eye powder because is tiny for the price and I love it everywhere🫣. Is my favorite of all time and I’m 50 years old. I try to have other more cost effective for my cheek pores but now without the givenchy i’m on the hunt again. I might give a chance to the Chanel because is big. I’m still hopping Pat grabs this formula and does a loose version that works like this one. Is simply amazing and fulls proof.
Makeuo by Mario new powder supposed to be excellent also
@@BethAnn-o6h thanks ❤️
