Hi everyone !!! Happy Tuesday!!! We are skipping Nikki uncut today to bring you a powder master class! These are all of my absolute favorites that I recommend the most! But I know you’ll miss Nikki uncut and I promise it will be back next week! ❤❤ love you all so much and thank you for watching !!
Thank you Nikki! I actually loved this video!! I have oily skin and was thinking of trying the makeup by Mario! But now I’m torn between that and the one size. And after watching this I now realize kosas isn’t for my oily skin. Even though I bought it haha.
@@cherylkozak6259I love the One Size. I have mature oily skin, and O/S works great. I have the translucent and pink. They also come in mini sizes if you want to try it out. I haven't tried the Makeup by Mario. I didn't have good luck with the eyeshadow and blush, so I'm hesitant to try it. Other people love the brand, so it may work well for you.
I tried the Huda Easy Bake Powder in Cherry Blossom for my Dry Sensitive skin based on a prior video you did. I had avoided powder for my mature skin previously, but the Huda powder actually refined my 73 year old fair skin. My makeup stayed in place and enhanced my skin. Thank you for the tips. You are an excellent teacher.
Nikki please please do a best powders sold at the drugstore or a video of you trying every pressed and loose powders at the drugstore! That would be extremely helpful!!!
@gracielapalacios8029 Yes girl, I have a one year old now and I can't shop like I use to. So anything that's more affordable right now would be great and honestly, Nikki is the only person I trust when it comes to makeup!
I know she's been very honest about the fact although she loves many drugstore products, she is yet to find drugstore powders that compete with high-end. She did mention the lottie london loose powder that's affordable in her Givenchy powder alternative video.
Hi I'm 53 years old and have used makeup for many years. In my 30s I used Laura Mercier loose powder until in my 40s I found Maybelline Fit Me Loose Powder at the drugstore. I've been using it for about 15 years now and it's great. You can use it with a powder brush for a light setting or a powder puff for pressing in for a full day set. Hope this helps.
Kosas Cloud Set in Breezy is my holy grail setting and finishing powder. I'm 61 and have normal to dry skin. It's the first powder I've ever used that doesn't cake up on me. I love it!!!!
Extremely oily skin girly here. I SWEAR by the Huda beauty powder. I have 6 different shades and 2 minis for on the go🤣 I use it with the one size setting spray. My make last alllll day 👌👌👌

How old are you babe? Not a MUA, but I'm 44 and have been on a journey the last few years for the same reason. I might be able to steer you in the right direction until someone makes a video.
I LOVE that you included the Fenty powder, and also gave recommendations for us oily gals. I'm mature (54 y.o.) but still have oily skin, and Fenty is SO good without highlighting creases and wrinkles. I'm also a big fan of the O/S powder, but haven't tried the Makeup by Mario or Makeup Forever powders yet...so guess what I'll be buying during the Sephora sale. 😉😅 As a side note, you eye look is stunning today!
Nicki you should try a video for dry skin powders? There's a lot I would like you to try ,I know you said kosas there are so many more . Merit powder ,rare beuty and the saie powder . Let us know ? Thanks you look amazing in red!
Thank you, so appreciate all your recommendations, instructions… there are women in their 90’s who still enjoy makeup, enjoying looking their best. Can you give opinion on makeup for mature-skinned people who have very dry skin but live in very humid climates? Which concern do you suggest prepping the skin for? I live at the equator and it is hot and humid 24/7/365. Love your channel!!
Nikki you’re a life saver. I bought the It Cosmetics setting powder and have always felt it was sitting on my skin. I have large pores. Never thought I should buff it in. Mind blown! lol thank you!!! ❤❤❤
The Kosas pressed powder is definitely winner for me since you first introduced it in one of your videos. 😊 Been looking into getting a loose powder and this video has helped me narrow down what to look for when I get to Sephora. Thank you! ❤
LIVING for these recommendations! You are so thorough and genuine and I can’t thank you enough for continuing to make some of THE BEST makeup content ever 🖤
Can you make a best powder foundation video?? I’m a nurse that works in surgery so if I wear makeup to work, the only foundation that doesn’t smear on my scrub caps/surgical masks is a powder foundation. With that being said, I have extremely dry & sensitive skin☹️ I’d love to see the different options out there!! Thanks🤍
The Jane Iredale pressed powder foundation is STUNNING. It's actually what I wear instead of my usual liquid foundations specifically when my skin is extra dry and has gotten flaky from my tretinoin because I have found that it is the only foundation that sits nicely on my skin in that state. I caution against Fenty''s powder foundation because although it is a very nice formula for some skin types, it is not at all compatible with truly dry skin (in my experience, it can look heavy, flat, and dull, accentuates dryness, made my skin feel void of all moisture, and just made me look worse than before I put it on). Also, I have heard tons of people say that Jane Iredale products do not aggravate their sensitive skin; I think (but could be wrong) that being safe for sensitive skin is one of Jane Iredale's main focuses as a brand). It is very skin-like and doesn't look flat/powdery at ALL, especially if you use some sort of hydrating makeup "setting" mist, like ones that help meld everything together and get rid of a powdery finish (not the ones meant to really lock in makeup like the one size spray; the type I am referring to usually contain glycerin, like the OG Mac Fix+). It also can be applied super sheer for a very natural look with sheer coverage, or you can build it up to get a ton of coverage (but somehow, it does not look cakey in the slightest after many layers).
@Makeupbynikkilarose love your videos !! You are such a skilled and extremely talented person! I would love to see a video on powder foundation. I'm currently using MAC, but I feel like I am doing everything wrong. I would appreciate it if you could share your tips on the prep, brushes, and any advice you have for that type of makeup. Thank you!
It’s funny that you did this today. This morning I dug an old Coty Airspun powder out of the back of my drawer, you know, with the talc. Wow. I had forgotten how smooth and blurring it is on the skin. That formula has been around forever.
Hi, so I read that this powder contains asbestos, but under a different video, I saw a comment that said that they removed it. Do you know anything about that? I really want to try the powder because I've heard so many great things about it but I'm a bit scared of the asbestos.

Thank you for recommending the Kosas Cloud baked setting powder. I'm in my 40s and I don't like foundation. I wear the powder over mineral sunscreen and it erases the white cast. I blurs my pores and is so skin like. I see this being one I can wear everyday, it lasts a long time. Didn't look or feel like I was wearing makeup.

Hi Nikki! I tried your MUA technique yesterday for my eyeliner and it turned out so beautifully!! Thank you for sharing so much of your time and expertise. ❤
I literally bought the makeup by Mario powder after you raved about it. I have dry skin and it works beautifully. My makeup looks very natural and not cakey. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much for this video. I didn’t know the Huda powder is fragrance free now. I am in love with the mini I have but not the scent. I will definitely be grabbing a full size during the Sephora VIB sale.
Hi Nikki, very informative as always. can you also recommend what shades (specifically makeup by Mario, kosas, huda beauty) work best under your eyes for different undertones ? For example, I’m mid 60s, dry, light/medium skin tone and yellow undertones with under eye hollows. Thanks so much.
Makeup Forever worked for my dryer more mature skin for a while. Now there are more formulas out there that I want to try. I’m looking at Kosas and the LM secret brightening powder.

Nikki I promise you you need to try the Lunar Beauty loose powder. If you like the Huda, you will love the Lunar! It’s not at Sephora but so so so worth the try! I haven’t bought another powder since!
Hey Nikki!! Do you happen to know if you can still purchase the HUDA BEAUTY loose powder WITH the fragrance still in it?? I'm with you on loving the scent, & it's actually something that I look forward to smiling when I open that powder up but I'm almost out of my little mini cherry blossom cake

FYI, Sephora currently only carries the OG fragranced version of the Huda Beauty loose powder. The fragrance-free version is exclusively available on the Huda Beauty website! However, maybe Sephora will start carrying it at some point, and if the fragrance-free version gets significantly more sales than the fragranced OG version, then maybe Huda Beauty will switch to only selling the fragrance-free version. Just wanted to clarify that for anyone wanting the fragrance-free version!
Do you think so? I ran and bought all of the OG Givenchy powders in my shade when I heard they reformulated - but I’m terrified of what I’ll do when I run out. I tried the Huda one but I don’t love it. You think the Chanel one is the best replacement? May I ask why? Thank you!
Thank you so much! ❤ Trying to figure out which setting powder to use has been maybe my biggest point of confusion. I have mature combination skin and I definitely look better with a bit of luminosity (*not* matte) in my complexion products and finding a powder that doesn't look too flat or matte has been a huge struggle. Think I might roll the dice and try the new Makeup by Mario powder. Fingers crossed!!
Id be so great,if zou first talked about the differences of all powder formats and showed in action your favorite tools to apply it with. Please film part 2!!!!thanks
SOS: So I’ve tried the makeup forever loose powder and I was told I have normal leaning oily skin. I start getting ready for the day around 8:30 and I work until 9:30 so I’m in the office from 11-9:30. I end up being SUPER oily by the end of the day. How would you recommend I touch up with that powder? I’ve tried the tissue tip to soak up oils by ripping it in half and it always ends up disturbing my makeup underneath
Excellent video! It's really helpful showing who these powders are for and how to use them. You saved me from buying one I wanted to try, but is wrong for my skin type. Thank you!
I have been waiting for this video as i have been looking for a helpful video on a suitable face powder the past two days sold at Sephora. Thank you nikki❤️ thanks for uploading this video
Thank you for this dictionary of BEST powders and for who and what they do! I feel like I have a plan now when I go to Sephora. I have the Charlotte Tilbury and Laura Mercier (and Wet n Wild photofocus for frugality). But I'm 48, oily with dry under eyes and PORES!!! I really needed this SPECIFIC information! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!❤❤❤
Thank u Nikki! So happy to hear Fenty is on the list. I need a powder for my mature oily pores . Can u do a review of best satin finish foundations? I have mature combo and do not like layering products to work around matte or glowy formulas.
Can you please let us know what eyeshadow you’re wearing in this video? I couldn’t stop staring at your eyes the whole time, the eye topper looks majestic!
I just got the makeup by Mario powder after watching a previous video you did on it and I was literally blown away! Thanks for your always thoughtful reviews. You were spot on!
Mature with oily skin. I need it to not make me look older, but I need it to definitely control my oil and most importantly make my makeup last for my 14 hour shifts😬 which of these is your recommendation? I use huda currently but still get pretty oily. Thank you for an amazing video.
Thanks for explaining all these powders. Appreciate your knowledge. Also, really liking your lip treatment - beautiful! Would you like to know the products, please.
Hi Nikki-thank you for all the good info on powders! I’m combo/oily and looking for a good loose powder that will keep my shine away all day. I will try OS based upon your recommendation. Thank you sm!

Nikki, I've been using the Huda beauty powder for years... Now with the new packaging hardly any comes out and I don't like that. Is the fenty one at all similar?

Id be so great,if zou first talked about the differences of all powder formats and showed in action your favorite tools to apply it with. Please film part 2!!!!thanks
so excited for this video ❤❤❤❤ as a 35yr old makeup lover this is my struggle! ty ty ty
I’ve tried the tissue tip to soak up oils by ripping it in half and it always ends up disturbing my makeup underneath
omg this is JUST what i needed! thank you nikki!!
I could never get tired of watching your videos!!!!😍😍😍
Excellent video! It's really helpful showing who these powders are for and how to use them. You saved me from buying one I wanted to try, but is wrong for my skin type. Thank you!
24:53 I also LOVE the way the Huda Beauty Easy Bake Powder smells!! It's incredible 🤩
Love your eye makeup.

Mature with oily skin. I need it to not make me look older, but I need it to definitely control my oil and most importantly make my makeup last for my 14 hour shifts😬 which of these is your recommendation? I use huda currently but still get pretty oily. Thank you for an amazing video.
Nikki, would you try Samantha Ravendahls makeup line? I think you would love her stuff. She is an amazing and kind person.
Thank you sm!
i have oily skin and i didn’t like fenty powder, tried nars light reflecting pressed setting powder and it’s the best i’ve tried so far!
Great video- thanks for also including which brushes to use for best application. Thanks!
Nikki, if you could only pick one, which one would it be??
I have just finished the original Laura Mercier translucent setting powder it was a travel size but it’s lasted a long time I do have the newer Laura Mercier one ready which is bigger 😅
Nikki, I've been using the Huda beauty powder for years... Now with the new packaging hardly any comes out and I don't like that. Is the fenty one at all similar?
