- I so wish I had known these things before starting my microloc journey. Hopefully if you're thinking of getting microlocs or sisterlocs, you won't make the same mistakes.

Your ends look different because they aren't fully locked yet. What you called "thickness" is your budding beginning to start. That would happen even if you installed with interlocks. Give it another year and you won't be able to tell that you started with two strand twists.
If lack of middle part is bothering you redo the part and fully interlock the new locs. Only looked like you'd have to take out a few to get a straighter line.
OMG!!! thanks so much for the info! I honestly had no idea about that. I just always assumed it was because I started my locs with two different methods. I'll be patient with it and see what happens in a year. Thanks again!

your locs look beautiful!! as for the middle part, you could prob see if any locticians in your area could cut off and reattach those locs in the middle to give you a middle part! i’ve seen people w traditional locs do that and it always comes out so nice
Your locs look good! I got micros done in November 2022 for the same reason as you. My baby is due next month lol... so far I'm enjoying my locs.

Hi!!! It so funny you say you wish they were smaller I think your size is perfect. Im here thinking is should’ve went a little bit bigger because i’m nervous about the fullness
That's so funny! LOL! I guess the grass always seems greener on the other side. I think if they're smaller it's always better since you can combine them vs big ones.
Mines is the same but I love my locs
I use tweezers to get lint out works great and a lot of it was red lint,
i think i'm gonna have to do the same. Ive been dreading it lol
I've just let lint stay in...my microlocs too small to be picking it out..😂
Your locs are gorgeous! It’s not too late to show your locs love with a consistent routine. It doesn’t take much…of course I only have 210 locs. I love my big microlocs ❤

210, Finally someone with a low loc count like myself. I have 236 and at times wished I had more but head space is head space ..I would love to see your locs.

It’s been so hard finding the girls with the larger grids.
Don't think too much in the size. Locs are lik snowflakes. Even if you part with a ruler. Our density is different throughout our hair.
How many locs do you have?

Hi honey, so I honestly feel like you should start over cause I can tell your really not happy with your locs & I know that feeling, I took out my traditional locs and now I have micro locs & idk the exact amount but its definitely over 300 locs from when I stopped counting. I did my own micro locs and I made sure both sides in the front had close to the same amount of locs and also I found this girl who helps with the correct sizing guide for micro locs but if you wanna wait it out and see how your locs flow out then that's fine too
