I thought it was him in the beginning of the movie so I wasn’t surprised when they revealed it. They tried to make his voice different but I still recognized the back of that bald head
Saw it yesterday, it was a pretty solid movie honestly. Really enjoyed the action, the JS and Pierce as Doc Fate. And that post credit scene was great! Hoping for a Man of Steel 2 very soon, the first one is in my top 5 of the DCEU movies 🙏 7/10 film 👍
Honestly... Based off the reaction my theater had when Superman showed up on screen. My mom had a huge smile on her face, I had tears of joy seeing Henry Cavill return... WB is going to give this man his Superman sequels/movies. Dewayne (the Rock) Johnson knew what he was doing. Damn this movie was awesome.
Just got back from a Black Adam showing. Honestly, I loved this film. I was thoroughly entertained the entire time. I enjoyed the characters, the action was freakin awesome, and it has a big impact on the future of the DCEU.
Absolutely enjoyed it! I think the critics want to hate simply because it's a DC film & that's sad. It's a really good movie & it ended with so many ways to go afterwards. It left me wanting more & that is what it's suppose to do.
Saw the movie on Thursday. Really enjoyed the movie! The action was great. The moments where the comedy needed to be there was right. And that mid-credit scene was phenomenal. While the critics say what they say, definitely check the movie out for yourself.
Saw it earlier today, and I gotta say the action in this movie was crazy good, and that post credit scene was pretty good as well can’t wait to hopefully see a Black Adam VS Superman soon, solid 8/10 (also after watching Black Adam, I’m watching all the DCEU movies from Man of Steel to The Suicide Squad)
For those who haven't seen DC movies, make sure you watch the directors' cut of the movies - Batman V Superman Ultimate Edition (not the 2016 theatrical cut), Zack Snyder's Justice League (not the Justice League 2017 theatrical version) and skip Suicide Squad 2016 theatrical (there's a directors' cut of it too that fans are still campaigning to be released). Warner Bros messed with their directors visions and changed their movies for their theatrical releases to make them PG 13 (when they were done as Rated R) so more people can see them and they also demanded the movies be shorter so they get more showtimes in theaters, all so Warner Bros can get more money. They did the same thing with Black Adam. It was supposed to be Rated R, but WB also cut it down and changed it to make it PG13. Those WB execs are booted off now though. They got new bosses, so as long as they don't make the same mistakes, I have hope for the future of DC.
I always considered Amanda waller as an antihero. Especially since the events of peacemaker. Definitely makes me think she is now helping the heroes after losing her daughter etc. Also, Black Adam in the comics these days is definitely used as an antihero. I think that is where he is now at the end of the movie.
I remembered Black Adam saying his son was killed in the trailer and thought it was weird that they changed that but then I also remembered learning about Teth Adam in one of the recent Death battles, except that in the comics he killed the boy and stole his powers which they changed for the film
To me, Sabacc felt like Starro in The Suicide Squad, both are talked about during most of the movie but only really appear until the final battle, they weren’t bad villains, I just wanted to see more of them
Hey, Chris, there are actually comic book spin-offs for each Justice Society member (It is canon to DCEU) and it's called Justice Society Files. And this is the correct order to read them since there's always a different story every time the issue ends: Hawkman, Cyclone, Atom Smasher, then Dr. Fate. You'll learn more about the members and the history of JS as well.
I wasnt planning to go watch it but my siblings spontaneously decided on a movie night and honestly it was better than I expected. It wasn't the best but there were definitely some good twists and turns and the storyline overall was actually good. There was some funny moments, Dr Fates departure and the Justice society was actually something I didn't expect too lol

This is definitely one of my favourite DCU movies. The fight scenes were awesome and it would never get boring at any part of the movie because it’s dramatic, action packed and hilarious. In my eyes this is a great DCU movie 8.5/10
I Really Enjoyed This Movie Had Medium Expectations For It And It Was Pretty Fun And The Action Scenes Was Awesome And The Comedy Was Placed Right. And The JSA Was Freaking Awesome. Dr. Fate Death Was Really Shocking To Me Hope To See More Of Him
I think the reason why Superman was following Amanda Walller was because he and the rest of the Justice League didn’t know she did all those things yet. I don’t think any of them know about the Suicide Squad.
yeah the Suicide Squad has been here for a while and none of them really explained their events. Maybe they explain it soon like in the Aquaman or Flash movie
Anyone notice that actor that plays the transformed “god” version of Black Adam’s son is the same actor that plays a younger adult Rock on the show, Young Rock.
The reason why they had Amon’s character be similar to Freddy freeman from Shazam is to further parallel Shazam and black Adam. And in the comics Amon & his mother, who in the comics was his sister instead, but Amon and Adriana become part of black Adam’s marvel family and gained the powers of black Adam same as the Shazam family in the Shazam movie. Everything they did was on purpose, and it was done for a reason
Clearly you forgot about that post credit scene where Waller was talking with Bruce Wayne. And in the comics she’s been known to play both sides of the field whatever happens to be convenient for her at the time
I saw it today. And I really enjoyed it. It wasn't the best but I was invested the whole time. The mid-credit scene was a banger! I'll buy it for sure.

I loved the suits in this movie. Atom Smashers suit was colorful and interesting, cyclone has a look all her own compared to past characters, Dr.Fate and hawk man looked Amazing! Adam himself had like 3 different looks.
The skateboard man, that skateboard. It was more indestructible than Adam himself, oh my god did he ride that thing everywhere. My least favorite part of the movie was how that board had more screen time than cyclone or smasher.
Cavill returned in Black Adam. Gadot’s returning in Shazam 2. Affleck’s returning in Aquaman 2. Cavill, Gadot, and Affleck are returning in The Flash. 🔥🔥🔥
My ONE BIG issue from this movie is none other than Doctor. Fate. DOCTOR FATE IS NOT DOCTOR STRANGE IN A HELMET. Doctor Fate is the HELMET, not the person. The helmet is possessed by Nabu, a cosmic being affiliated with the Lords of Order. Nabu possesses whoever wears the helmet to act on his behalf and the Lords of Order. The person is an avatar for Nabu, basically. Throughout the movie, Kent Nelson is CONSTANTLY being shown to be in complete control and STILL have the Doctor Fate costume whenever he takes off the helmet in a few scenes. After Kent’s death, it looks like the helmet “dies” with him…which is NOT the case. The helmet would still be around, awaiting for somebody to don the helmet and become Doctor Fate. The helmet may have relocated to somewhere else, but from what I had understood and how the scene looked, it looked like the helmet disappeared for good shortly after Kent’s death. That REALLY irritates me. The actor was good! He looked like how Kent does! But the portrayal of the character was just…not it.
@@ijionclifton9148 oh yeah, definitely! All the stuff he did was pretty cool, especially against Sabbac! Pierce Brosnan was amazing in his role, but just the way the character was portrayed…it just wasn’t right. It’s like all they got right was his outfit and that he can do magic.
Personally, I think this movie should’ve taken place in the past like the 90’s with the JSA trying to stop Black Adam and Black Adam ends up killing the JSA (thus no more heroes in the world until Man of Steel and Justice League) and then the post-credits scene sets up Shazam 3.
I think they perfectly establish that Waller couldn't have someone in her disposal to go head to head with a superman level threat. Fortunately BA shows up one day to wake up from his 1000 years slumber
I just finished watching this,D.C just gave Marvel a run for it's money. The ending with Henry Cavil reprising his role as Superman...PERFECT! Just wondering how Shazam is going to fit into this equation.
I’m torn. On one hand I really enjoyed the visuals and Dwayne as black Adam and on the other hand I felt like the justice society could have been left out of this movie to allow for a more interesting plot revolving more around black Adam. Also can we please stop with the old times character being forced into the current days. I know it’s how he is originally meant to be but I feel like if the entire movie took place back in 2000 something b.c. We could have had something special.
I liked the movie! When the most recent superheroes movies/series has been Thor: Love and Thunder, Ms Marvel and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law then this movie is a masterpiece! Surprised by the mostly dark tone and all the kills. Things that Sony can learn from.
I am so glad the general public are enjoying this i saw friday and yes i agree wiv chris its got problems but is a fun time i am so sick of people hating everything at the min is nice for once
My head canon for Amanda Waller with the JSA is that since Task Force X was presumably shut down due to what happened in Peacemaker, she just moved on to maybe FUNDING the JSA and assigning them missions
I think that at the time of Suicide Squad, the JSA had been disbanded for years. The prequel comics kind of filled in the gaps. Fate and Hawkman were the only two og JSA members to come out of retirement, and they did so fairly recently, likely after the Justice League had been formed. Waller probably already was keeping tabs on the JSA members in retirement, but it is likely most of the OG membership are dead or elderly like the original Atom Smasher. Only Hawkman is in prime shape (perhaps due to his alien heritage) and DR.Fate could still serve due to his occult nature keeping him active at over 100 years old. Besides, another reason Waller wanted Task Force X at her disposal, was she wanted a team of soldiers/killers to take on the next Zod or rogue Superman, Hawkman has an adament no kill policy, and even if he came out of retirement at the time of the first Suicide Squad film, he would still have to recruit DR.Fate and whatever young heroes he could mentor. No way he allows them to be disposable cannon fodder, or have bombs placed in their heads. Task Force X was an emergency program. Waller wanted a team that would be totally under her thumb, and one she could recruit fairly quickly. Superman had died, Batman and Wonder Woman were using Waller's resources to track down Aquaman,The Flash, and Cyborg, to form the Justice League, and the JSA had been disbanded for years.
They did the marvel "we can only win if you die", reversal..... They're just copycat. -Black Adam for Superman -Dr. Fate for Dr. Strange -Dead-pool Antman for Antman -Cyclone for Scarlett Witch.

Personally, I think this movie should’ve taken place in the past like the 90’s with the JSA trying to stop Black Adam and Black Adam ends up killing the JSA (thus no more heroes in the world until Man of Steel and Justice League) and then the post-credits scene sets up Shazam 3.
I definitely agree on your thoughts about Amanda Waller
Im so excited for the future of DC again black Adam was awesome and Cavil is back exciting times!!
Love this movie. The Rock and everybody else did a great JOB!!!!
I never knew much about cyclone, but i liked how they showed cyclone’s powers
10:36 making your case on how great MoS is, while showing the silliest part of MoS
I loved it 100% how the way black adam was played and also how the justice society was played to even with how the humans
I think they perfectly establish that Waller couldn't have someone in her disposal to go head to head with a superman level threat. Fortunately BA shows up one day to wake up from his 1000 years slumber
I was claping and cheering about the post credit scene!
I just finished watching this,D.C just gave Marvel a run for it's money. The ending with Henry Cavil reprising his role as Superman...PERFECT! Just wondering how Shazam is going to fit into this equation.
I did like that part when they played Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones.
Just got out the AMC IMAX I totally got injustice vibes
Just came back from Black Adam
8/10 I LOVE Halkman but the post credit scene sold it for me (Little tin rock is hilarious)
My head canon for Amanda Waller with the JSA is that since Task Force X was presumably shut down due to what happened in Peacemaker, she just moved on to maybe FUNDING the JSA and assigning them missions
2:15 I had no idea he was not the boy until i saw the film.
I saw yesterday seeing and thought it was good have no idea why critics are bashing it yes it has some flaws but was entertainment and had a good time
I think that at the time of Suicide Squad, the JSA had been disbanded for years. The prequel comics kind of filled in the gaps. Fate and Hawkman were the only two og JSA members to come out of retirement, and they did so fairly recently, likely after the Justice League had been formed. Waller probably already was
keeping tabs on the JSA members in retirement, but it is likely most of the OG membership are dead or elderly like the original Atom Smasher.
Only Hawkman is in prime shape (perhaps due to his alien heritage) and DR.Fate could still serve due to his occult nature keeping him active at over 100 years old.
Besides, another reason Waller wanted Task Force X at her disposal, was she wanted a team of soldiers/killers to take on the next Zod or rogue Superman,
Hawkman has an adament no kill policy, and even if he came out of retirement at the time of the first Suicide Squad film, he would still have to recruit DR.Fate
and whatever young heroes he could mentor. No way he allows them to be disposable cannon fodder, or have bombs placed in their heads.
Task Force X was an emergency program. Waller wanted a team that would be totally under her thumb, and one she could recruit fairly quickly.
Superman had died, Batman and Wonder Woman were using Waller's resources to track down Aquaman,The Flash, and Cyborg, to form the Justice League,
and the JSA had been disbanded for years.
James gunn doing a classic jsa movie would be the best thing ever
I enjoyed it. also liked that superman cameo
They did the marvel "we can only win if you die", reversal.....
They're just copycat.
-Black Adam for Superman
-Dr. Fate for Dr. Strange
-Dead-pool Antman for Antman
-Cyclone for Scarlett Witch.
