I love Murray Walker. He’s irreplaceable as a dodger fan. He’s as great to Formula One to me as Vince Scully was to dodger baseball a terrible and tragic loss. I also think formula 1 is a terrible tragic loss to be honest. It’s horrible and sterile today all these new drivers with their computerized cars, give me nikki lauda Sterling Moss or Gilles Villeneuve any day
When watching an old man watch a race is more entertaining that watching the race it self, you know it's Murray Walker. I envy everyone who grew up with him, in Germany we just had Christian Danner and a guy called Heiko Wasser. The only good sports commentator, who's name could be spoken at least in the same conversation as Murrays, was a Eurosport guy called Siggi Heinrich. but he mostly did (or does?) Biathlon and Athletics (If you speak German and don't know it, look for his commentary on Usain Bolts 9.58s 100m WR, it has a certain Murray energy^^) Having a guy like Siggi in a sport I love like F1 was always my dream and now that I know of Murray I rewatch all the old F1 seasons and he just fills me with joy. Thank you Murray! Thank you very much indeed.
Watching Murray watch a grand Prix is entertainment in itself. He was such a pleasant and nice bloke and an absolute gentleman, it's no wonder he was loved by all on the circuit.
Brilliant upload. I remember watching “The Unmistakable Murray” on TV in 2001 and I had it on VHS for awhile. Great to see it again after all these years. There was a 2019 documentary of Murray reminiscing his memorable life (18yrs after this), and there was this doc from 2001; just a pity there wasn’t a longer documentary from 1983 (there is a 8mins VT of Murray driving a McLaren) because it would have been nice to see a doc like this from 83 also with Murray alongside Hunt.
Murray was the voice of F1. Thank you for sharing your passion with us, Murray. We miss your Go Go Go.
Australia absolutely loved Murray Walker...!

Seeing Murray watch the Brazilian GP with him taking over when the TV audio goes missing was brilliant
I wish Murray had gone on until he was “past it”. Real fans understood and loved him.
YEESSS YEESSS THIS IS MAGNIFICENT!!
admit it you said it like Murray would have...
I love him

He’s died this year aged 97 and it’s 20 years since he left commentary for the last time
He came back for a 2007 race on commentary.. check that one of you haven't
