This album is much more technical than I thought it was when I first heard it. Still great though and a cornerstone of Heavy Metal and rock music, and to date I believe it’s the only metal album to go diamond.

"who did the first gallop in metal" depends on what you mean...you could posit that triplets in classical music pieces by guys like Bach could've been metal gallops. a lot of metal is derived from classical styles like baroque...so the first gallop could've been centuries ago O_O
